I must have looked at nearly every convertible backpack tote out there. This one is great ! Looks good, and functions well both as a tote and as a backpack, which not all convertibles achieve. Inner padded pocket fits my 15" surface book with ease. Upper outer pockets are well thought out and nice. One of them has a fuzzy lining, clearly meant for phone or sunglasses or other fragile things. The other one has a sewn in lanyard hook for keys. The bottom long pocket is perfect for power cords. The material is a little shiny, very stylish. Importantly, the backpack straps are lightly padded and comfortable without being bulky. The whole bag is very lightweight and minimal, but not too minimal. Only a few sort of cons I can think of. The tote straps are plain and utilitarian, would have been nice to be padded or something. The back of the bag is not the same shiny material - it is like a plain cordura type fabric. Would have been nice to be a bit fancier somehow for a backpack back panel. I find the side buckles to be more cosmetic than useful, not sure what they are supposed to do.

I am very happy with this convertible tote. I was a bit concerned because of the previous review. Although the previous reviewer (with two stars) may have a valid point, I don't have any issue with opening and closing the bottom pocket probably because I hardly open the bottom pocket when I am using it as a tote bag or I normally have a lap top so it gives a bit of structure to it. I was looking for a lightweight tote/backpack convertible that doesn't look like a backpack and can easily carry a laptop, a big Thermos (32 oz) and gym gear (minus shoes). This bag has checked off the all boxes. I love how the backpack straps are comfortable and have good support. It's very practical but not bulky. The material is so soft and feminine. Only compliant/disappointment may be that the tote bag handles are not very sturdy. I could see them easily wrinkled or something. Also pockets inside would be nice. Still this bag deserves five stars. :)

I loved the look of this bag and was looking for something lightweight, which this bag does satisfy. I also liked all the exterior pockets for easily grabbing things. However, once you filled those exterior pockets, it was very difficult to access the bottom pocket. Everything sits on top of that bottom pocket and it collapses so you can't easily get to the zipper. I think if the bottom pocket and base could have a little bit of structure to it, that would solve the issue. The backpack straps seemed comfortable. The interior was fine but maybe a few more pockets would be great. I'm sad this didn't work out because it's a nice looking bag.
