The LENGTH and WIDTH were true to size. But the BOA closure system simply did not work for me. Even at the very tightest possible setting, the shoe did not feel secure on my foot; there was way too much room for vertical movement of my foot within the shoe (NOT ideal for pedaling, as it would result in significant loss of power transfer/efficiency). It's a shame, as the shoes are pretty good-looking, in my opinion. But not practical for their intended use (for me, anyway). I had simultaneously ordered a pair of RC-1s with their "old school" three-strap velcro closure system, and THEY felt GREAT. I kept them & am returning the RC-3s.

I'm a lady with a Peloton and smallish but wide feet and rheumatoid disease. Numerous blogs said to try the Shimano indoor cycling shoe as pretty much the one affordable wide shoe compatible with Look Delta. I'm so glad I took the advice. These are comfortable -- maybe a little too comfortable for maximum pedaling requirements, but they don't hurt. I probably could have used a size smaller (in the same width), but I'm happy to be in the saddle and doing the thing without aching feet. Everything else definitely hurts, but it's not the fault of the shoes.

I only owned these shoes for about 10 minutes and had to return them due to width issues. I wear a US10.5 and purchased the size 45 and width E but the toe box was so cramped I could not even try them on the bike. But I liked how they looked and the lacing system was cool. I'm still looking for a replacement in the next size up with the E width.

Great cycling shoe for wide feet. Very easy to adjust, which is great for longer endurance rides when your feet tend to swell up a bit (I used to lose circulation with my old Pearl Izumi size 12s, and that was with the velcro loosened all the way -- compared to these 11.5 wides). All you have to do is reach down and make a few clicks & turns with the wheel, and you can do that still clipped in to the pedals while riding. The only minor flaw I have with them is the inability to adjust the tightness specifically at the toe box, but it's not enough to ding these shoes even a half star. Overall very comfortable, happy with the purchase.

These fit my extra-wide feet even though the shoes are just regular wide width. This works because I went up a size, and the soft upper material with no mud guard has plenty of comfortable flex. Not sure the extra size up is required given this flex but played it safe. Heel does not slip.

I've been buying Shimano's entry level shoes for years and the RC3 is the first miss for me. The RC3 is noticeably lighter than earlier models, but is also very soft and floppy feeling. The mix of Boa and Velcro on the older model made it easier to distribute pressure. A single Boa doesn't work for my feet, leaving to much pressure on the upper foot.

I bought these specifically because I have slightly wider feet than most. I do a lot of Zwifting (indoor riding) and they are working out just great. No complaints.

Love these shoes so much. So many compliments and are comfy. I placed an arch support in but it isn’t necessary for everyone

I have been looking for a Bike shoe to FIT my wide feet 2E. The set from Shimano met the mark I have ordered four sets of various shoes, much too narrow. I did have to order a size up, the toe box is perfect for a wide foot.

I was looking for a wide cycling shoe after suffering a Tailor's Bunion from tight-fitting shoes I wore for many years. I ordered 4 different pairs of shoes and these won out from the lot! The previous shoes were size 13 and too tight across the width of the foot (causing the bunion issue). I ordered these in a 12.5 E width, and they fit perfectly. The BOA system is great for locking down my foot for powerful upstrokes, is easy to adjust mid-ride, and makes it easy to get them off after a session. Super happy with the result, and hopefully the bunion issue will be a distant memory!

My first pair of Shimano's and my first time using the BOA system. I'm impressed with both. For its price, the shoes are well-made and look cool.

in need of a new cycling shoe, and wanting red to match the bike, I found these shimano's and was happy with the price point. The BOA system makes it effortless to put these shoes on. While wearing these shoes, my bike moves 11 MPH faster than in my older shoes. Bakeries give me an additional 7% off donuts during my rides, and angels fly beside me to wipe any excess sweat from my brow. I am pretty sure I lose 17 lbs whenever I put these on. They fit my Shimano Road SPD cleats perfectly as well. One of my best cycling purchases to date.

Great shoes. I love the Boa system. The fit is a bit on the small side. I have 10.5EEE feet and ordered sizes 45 and 46. The 45s were too short and way too tight in the width. The size 46 fits perfectly in the length and is barely too snug in the width. By far the most comfortable “wide” cycling shoes I’ve tried (for under $200).

The shoe was comfortable and easy to adjust. It needs to be used with clips and cleats. I don't ride like that so I'm sending it back

Great cycling shoe. Normally I wear 10.5, but the 11 fit me best, because I have a 2W foot.

This is a cycling shoe, so function and fit is most important. I am tall with size 14 feet. Even though I normally wear a normal shoe width, I have learned that cycling apparel tends to run small. The wide version is just perfect. Great shoe. Reasonably priced. easy to put on and off and to mount the cleats. Zappos at first shipped me the "Normal" size, rather than the wide I had requested, but they promptly corrected the problem and got me the replacement shoe in 48 hours. Mistakes happen. Customer service was great.

Bought these shoes as an upgrade to older (and bigger) cycling shoes that were passed on to me. The size and fit are perfect. The boa mechanism is a breeze to use and offers a better overall "wrapping" feeling than the velcro shoes I had. Quick tip: because the shoe is stiff you actually have to pull the shoe tongue pretty intentionally after you release the boa dial to fully open the shoe and slide your foot in it. I paired these with a pair of blue Shimano SPD-SL cleats. I now have a fantastic traction and comfort during my Sunday rides. Highly recommend.
