I wear a 7.5 but will sometimes go up to an 8 in a boot so there is room for thicker socks. After reading some of the reviews I went with a 7.5. Glad I did. Perfect fit and still a little wiggle room for thicker socks. An 8 would have been to large. The toe box is also wide enough to not pinch my little toes! These boots are very comfortable for all day wearing. I love my Franco Sarto boots!

I was delighted when I tried this on! Comfortable right out of the box!! I have a hard time finding a book with a little height that is not too stiff. These were not and were perfect! Can't wait to wear them!

I normally wear a size 9 but could have used an 8.5 in this boot. However, when I wore them with a thick sock, they fit OK. I usually wear thick hiking socks in the winter but if you don't, you should get the smaller size.

I'm normally a 9 so ordered land 8.5 and thought they were too big. Then ordered the 8 but it was too small. So it's back to the 8.5

Nice leather and the boot was nicely made, although my heel slipped as I tried it out at home. I am returning. not the boot for someone with a narrow ankle and heel.

The leather is a really nice color and became more supple after wearing for about an hour. It looks like the heel/tread might wear quickly. My orthotics fit in these fine, as there is no arch support in the shoe. Really nice-looking boot and very comfortable to wear!

These shoes run large! Bought my usual 5 1/2 elsewhere, but was way too big. Thank goodness Zappos had them in a 5, which even fits with thicker socks. Hoping they don't stretch much because I love them--classic.

My feet are a bit narrow but narrow widths are too small so felt a little roomy. These boots allow for thick socks or perhaps an insert. I did not think the footbed was as padded as I would have preferred. I liked the style, more dressy than some yet still lookd good with jeans. I'm returning them because they did not feel good on my feet.

Needed a new pair of flat black work shoes and these are comfortable, nice looking and versatile. As they are leather, they are a bit snug when you first put them on. I wore a them around the house with thick socks to break them in and now they are perfect with normal dress socks. The "narrow" toe box at the front also wore in - it helps keep the shape of the shoe. I have an average width foot and purchased my regular size.

These booties are sleek and fashionable with the je-ne-sais-quoi detailing that I know and expect from Franco Sarto. They work equally well with leggings, tailored pants, jeans, and dresses - even joggers! I wear an 8.5 in other shoes but always an 8 in Franco Sarto (one more thing I love about FS is the consistency in sizing). Comfort is my highest priority with style a close second, and as usual FS delivers on both. My feet are relatively narrow. I got these in black and they do not disappoint!

I was glad I read the reviews and ordered one size smaller. Size 7 fits perfectly and there was no need for me to break-in the shoes. Love the feel of the leather as well.

My regular size 8.5 was too narrow but the 9 is fine, although a tiny bit long in the toe. Willing to accept the compromise for comfort. The leather is a bit thinner than I would like, but these aren't casual boots and so will be worn in non-scuffing situations.

The wide was too narrow for my wide foot, including bunion. The upper felt too tight for my high instep. I was hoping for an ankle boot that could be dressed up/dressed down. This one has white stitching, so it's lacking on the dress-it-up side.

These were snug but felt true to size. 7.5, high arch, slightly wide foot. Being leather, they will probably stretch and soften with wear and be more comfortable. Returning only due to color is not to my liking.
