The performance is as good as the more expensive lifestyle mugs, but it doesnt spill. I am bus and I don't have time or patience for spills.

Had forgotten it in my truck for about three years with some coffee in it. Not a drop of rust! It cleaned up so easy, one of my favorite mugs!

I never had an issue with the mug and it's the first mug that I own that doesn't spill it's contents over the books in my bag. It keeps it's contents hot for hours, just as promised. When I make myself some hot tea at night, I know that I'll still have warm tea in the morning. I definitely recommend the mug and will buy myself a new Stanley mug, when the one that I own breaks.

Keeps coffee hot longer than anything I've ever owned. Left it on top of my car at least three times, little dented, the lid is scratched. Gives it some character :) Used a small file to smooth out lid damage, good as new. Love the fact that I can hear it when it rolls off my car!

I've never bought a Stanley product before, and this was a Christmas gift from my bf's brother. I'd been wanting a travel mug for a while and thought, "Oh great, this will be nice." Well it almost instantly went wherever I went. My tea stays hot just as long as they say it will (7hrs with prewarming the mug). I literally cannot leave the house without it. The fact that is doesn't leak (miracle!) AND allows for one-handed dispensing is like the holy dyad of travel mug awesomness. Add in the fact that you can disassemble the lid to clean the parts, and that it is fairly rugged, and there's just no point in getting any other mug. Here's the caveat: the spring-loaded button on the lid popped off. But then here's a caveat to my caveat: it popped off because I'd put it in my bike basket and it rattled around back there, so no surprise that it got banged around and the depressor came off with the spring. I went on to the Stanley website to order another mug b/c I assumed that's what I'd have to do. I found, however, that they will replace parts! Amazing! They don't even try to find a way NOT to replace the part. You give some basic info and that's it! No, "mail it to us at your expense," no "show us proof with documentation," nothing but what's the product, what's the part you need replaced. Stanley got back to me (I think within 12 hours or less) to let me know the part I needed wasn't available, so what do they do? They sent me a whole brand new mug! What is going on?! No company does this. Like, NO ONE. Almost every other company I can think of would tell me the part isn't available and to check back in a few weeks. And the new mug arrived maybe two days later. I didn't even know what the package was when it arrived, I wasn't expecting any mug for a couple of weeks: processing time, packaging time, whatever. I don't understand how a company operates this efficiently but I can promise you there's no one else I'll buy mugs from, ever.

This is the best coffee mug I have ever seen. Keeps coffee hot for hours and does not leak at all. I throw it in my lunch box and take it out when I get to work at 5:00 am... coffee is still hot 5 hours later. I have been adding an ice cube when I fill this mug, otherwise the coffee is too hot to drink when I get to work. ;)

I have 3 of the 16oz size. Bought the first two over 2 years ago, and the third about 18 months ago. Only problem I have had is I left it on top of the car and drove off. The lid broke around the edge, but everything else is fine. This mug is built like a tank.

This is the best Mug I have ever owned. I feel it up in the morning while heading out for the day and it stays warm until I get to work on second shift. I never have to waste my coffee because I have gotten busy. This mug will never be replaced unless its one just like it!!

Bought it 2 months ago and I take it everywhere. Keeps things hot all day long (literally still burn my mouth on hot drinks 3-4 hours later!) Only negative is that the rubber plug/washer popped off while I was washing and went down the sink. I'm hoping to get a replacement part.

Bought this about two years ago from another vendor, and it's turned out to be the best travel mug I have. I was initially worried because it is heavy and a bit bulky, and the button is hard to push even with my thumb. (I'm a woman with fairly small hands, but have seen similar comments from men) In the end, though, the "criticisms" are all what make it such a great mug: - Heavy: The weight comes from the insulating element at the base of the mug, which is what keeps your drink so piping hot or icy cold. A necessary evil, so to speak! I've gotten an iced drink at 8 am and still had the original ice left by 12 noon. (The only problem is that you may think you have more drink left than you actually do...) - Bulky: My "favorite" way to use the lid is to remove the inside mechanism and just use it with or without a straw, which makes the entire mug like a giant indestructible metal can with an open yet fairly splashproof screw-on lid. Super-useful for traveling on the bus. This is also where the bulk and weight come in handy -- the mug is built like a tank, so gives me a much better sense of security than any other mug I have. - Button and overall design: A lot of the pre-2015 reviews said that the button was hard to push, and that it was hard to drink from the mug. These were both true for me at first, but I've found ways around both (and maybe newer mugs have been designed differently). It just requires rethinking how you hold your mug. If you're just holding the mug (like if it's full and you're on your way somewhere), hold it from the top around the button and let the weight swing from the bottom. If you're drinking from it, grip the bottom of the mug rather than the middle. - Looks like a length of pipe: This is, of course, what makes it Stanley. I was at the cafe early one morning and saw a guy who looked like he was still half-asleep admiring it! You too may get admiring looks. (He did look surprised to see a woman picking it up rather than a construction worker, but hey) - Drop-proof: It will dent if you drop it, but not by much. Mine went flying out of my hand, bounced off our brick steps, and onto a cement walkway from a distance of about four feet. One thing that made me decide to buy it was the picture (on another site) from a guy who said that he had dropped it at a work site, where it had promptly gotten run over by a coworker's truck. Not only was it still in one piece, he said that he couldn't really justify buying a new one since it was working fine. - Color: The red is a matte brick red, which I initially found disappointing because I had thought it was more of a "sparkly" cherry red. I still would like to see a color like that, or maybe more of a luminescence to the current colors! But overall, really glad to have this mug, and especially to see the changes over the years. It looks like Stanley really pays attention to customer feedback as well as its customers.

I received this as a gift about 4 months ago and couldn't be happier. It's great for my commute. I just throw it into my bag and get on the subway. It keeps the hot coffee hot and the iced coffee cold. Has not leaked at all!

A while ago I purchased one of these 16 oz mugs, however I was disappointed by the results. I was surprised by this because all of my other Stanley products have been great. I go a new one to replace the lemon I bought. I primed it with hot water. I put my coffee in it. After waiting about two hours I burned my tongue. I was so happy that I got what I was expecting from a Stanley product. I am back to being a very satisfied customer and my confidence has been renewed in Stanley. So much so that I purchased the 1.4 quart Master Series bottle. I am unsure when I would need to keep liquid hot for 40-hours, but I like having the option. The only suggestion I would add is that I would like to have a carabiner loop to attach to my bag or what have you. I wish I would have gotten it in red now, but you cannot go wrong with the classic green.

I love the mug. It keeps my coffee hot all day. Now however, I need a replacement lid as mine broke. How do I get one?

After taking another sip from my thermos, I was prompted to jump on the website and write a review. I filled my thermos with coffee at 7:10am and I am still enjoying hot coffee at 11:30am. Keeping coffee hot for 4+ hours is normally not a big concern because I typically guzzle it down. Today however, I was only able to take 2 sips of coffee before 10am. I'm now at my desk, still enjoying the hot coffee from this morning. Also, the one-handed capability is very convenient!

My Husband has had 3 of the Classic one hand mugs for over 5 years, He gave one to his brother, I was a little bummed cause nothing compares to these Stanley travel cups, the No drip, No leak, is just one of the 2 main features that they can stand behind 100% They "Do Not Leak or Drip" I have never been so satisfied about a travel cup before I started using one! I was well known for spills/splashes in all travel cups! I claim one, and that's the only one I reach for! even at home when I'm busy, I use it so my coffee wont get cold, at times when my hands were full, I have tucked it under my arm, laid it down, and put it in my catch-all bag, knowing it wont leak, And...I can literally pick it up in 4-5 hours and it is Hot and taste just like you just poured it! I was curious, and wanted to know! when I went to clean it after 11 hours, tasted it, and it was warm and drinkable! : ) We Love ours so much that we now have given most of our other travel cups away!

I've had this travel mug for about 4 months now and it really does hold up to the Stanley name in every way. I had to get used to drinking hot coffee for longer periods of time, because believe me it definitely keeps it hot, about 8 hours consistently every time. The only negative thing I can say is the name came off and that is kinda one of the reasons I bought this. Also I wish I would of known it came in the original green because I would of bought that one instead of the navy one. I will definitely recommend this to any coffee drinkers out there that will listen to me. Once again freaking great job Stanley.

We have so many Stanley products, especially good for camping while boondocking. I put boiling water into the largest thermos we have and I'm not having to constantly reheat for foods or drinks. Also coffee once a day stays fresh and leaves us to enjoy the trip instead of constantly running the propane. Thasbk you for making our lives so "Stan Easy". ;)

I have used the 12 oz. variety for a few years now. It doubles very nicely as a coffee and water thermos. The silicon seals are wonderful and the thermos is absolutely leak proof. Liquids stay piping hot or ice cold for about 8 hours, even when the thermos is left in a sweltering hot car for numerous hours. I had this happen at a baseball game and was the only one who enjoyed ice cold water on the way home! I keep one by my bedside table at night and by the computer, since it doesn't spill and the body never sweats. These thermoses fit perfectly in most cup holders and allow for easy one-handed drinking. They are also incredibly easy to drink from while lying down, as you can stop and start the flow after the lid reaches your mouth. I found a need to have two simultaneously, so I recently added the 16 oz. variety to my daily life. I was pleased to find its new stainless steel body is dishwasher safe, whereas my older 12 oz. body has to be hand washed. These thermoses pack easily and offer many years of good service. Apparently, Stanley warrantees them for lifetime, though I have not had to take advantage of that. I replaced my first one only because I lost it along an adventure. I have had many different thermoses over the years, and I choose this exact one time and time again, and have two for both coffee and water. It is absolutely the best thermos out there. Very nice job, Stanley! Thank you for making incredible products!

My wife bought me this item for Christmas of 2016. Best thing I ever got. My hot liquids stay hot for 7 hours or longer. I would be lost without my Stanley mug. I have it next to me more than my cell phone. Thank you Stanley for a wonderful product.

This is the best coffee thermos out there. A friend recommended it and We bought two for the Race to Alaska this year. We did 750 miles from Washington to Alaska in a 20-foot sailboat, and having hot beverages on hand at all times was a huge part of how we stayed warm and motivated. This thing was indestructible. The best part about it is that you can easily open the valve and drink with one hand - to shut the valve again all you have to do is let go! We would take a sip and then just drop them in the bottom of the boat. The finish held up great to three weeks in the bilge, and the hard plastic parts don't show a scratch. The valve is easy to take apart for cleaning and the whole thing can go in the dishwasher. No small moving parts! Never a leak - even if I left the string of a teabag coming through the threads of the lid! Can't say enough good things. **GREATJOB** Stanley!

This cup keeps coffee HOT for hours, even in sub zero temperatures. I've had many nice steel coffee cups and none hold a candle to this beauty. As close to perfect as I've seen. Really absorbs abuse well. It has fallen on its top from shoulder height onto steel grating at -10F and still works fine. Does not spill. Well worth the money.
