My dad got his 32 oz classic vacuum bottle issued to him when he was in the 101st airborne in 1980. This particular bottle was manufactured by Aladdin in Nashville, TN, which is only about an hour away from Ft. Campbell where he was stationed (this is also where I was born). After sitting in the cabinet for several years since his retirement I used it for several more. Eventually it didn't seem to keep coffee as hot as it once did. In looking to purchase a new one I found online they are warranted for life, filled out a request and received an email back in less than a week. It went into my spam folder so I missed it, but once I had the phone number I called and they reissued me a free 1.1 qt bottle AND allowed me to keep the original since it was an older model. For me, this goes MILES beyond what was expected! I wasn't even sure they would warranty it since I didn't buy it and to be honest, if they wanted the old bottle back I would have just bought a new one. Sounds dumb, but there is some sentimental value there. I am a customer for life! I have other Stanley products that are still going strong, I only hope that since moving their manufactured overseas the new bottle will hold up as long as the last!

I've been using two of the 1.1 bottles for 9 years now. One of them quit keeping my coffee hot. I contacted Stanley via their warranty claim link on their website. They sent a replacement no questions asked. All I had to do was supply them with some info off the bottom of the bottle. Awesome customer service. These bottles when properly preheated will keep my coffee and/or soup hot for over 12 hours. I've never had to keep anything hot longer than that but I know they would have no problem doing it. Don't waste your time or money shopping for other brands. These are tried and true. Good product from a good company.

Carried my old Aladdin since 96 banging it around daily. Finally knocked the bottom off, one email later got a brand new one at the door 5 days later, noticed it was made in china and was worried. To my surprise I filled it up with hot tap for 30 min then hot coffee, set on the counter and checked 24 hrs later,to hot to drink checked again in 48 hours still very hot, lid back on and at 72 hrs still hot enough to drink. However I only opened it once per day for test purpose. I would put those results against any bottle out there!!! Thanks stanley for a great bottle and warranty. Keep up the good work!

I've had a few of the old 1.1s in the past and loved them. Still have them too even though they have migrated through my family scattered throughout 3 states. One has been at the family hunting camp in PA for almost 20 years and said from being run over by 4 wheelers, trucks, dropped down the side of A mountain and even stolen by a bear, we found it in its den A month after it ransacked the cabin 10 years ago, it's had parts replaced many times and still works like new. A few years ago I started tossing around the idea or getting another one. Instead I was in a scrap yard about 5-6 years ago when a kid next to me dropped off his last box that had 4 1.1s in it. I waited till he was finished and grabbed them up. One was still in plastic, another still worked though it was missing it's cup and the other 2 needed replacement parts, one newer model that I found at ace hardware and one older model that I'm still looking for parts to but really in no big hurry. Still have most of them and they still work like new. Mom calmed the brand new one about a month after finding them and then left it at my uncles 2 years ago. Stamped my initials into the side of them so I could tell mine from the others where I used to work. Now I just tell my uncle and cousin's to just send them home when their done with them.

Stanley stands behind their product. My thermos had a cracked lining. I called them and they sent a new one out to me right away. Great American Company!

First topic --------------- I just read a review that complained about how little time the liquid stays warm in this Classic bottle. The reviewer claimed it was lukewarm after only 6 or 8 hours. I heartily disagree. I've owned 3 of these classics, and have loved each one, the last one lasted almost 9 years of daily use. Second topic ------------------ The only time I ever had to take Stanley up on their "LIFETIME guarantee" was with my latest one (Classic 1.1 Qt green insulated container), when the small weld broke that connects the handle to the top of the container. A couple of emails and a couple of photos solved my problem and Stanley shipped me a brand new replacement the very next day. Now, that is living up to their word! They truly mean "Built for Life". The customer service that "Analyn S" gave me was SUPERIOR! As a side note, the broken weld is the only defect I've ever had for any 3 of my containers, spanning 25 years. The other two containers each suffered a horrible demise. My first one was run over by my tractor-trailer, and the second one was dropped over 50 feet from a roof. It would still seal, but the bottom was bent so bad it wouldn't stand up. Solution to the "Cool Liquid" problem: To solve your "cool liquid" problem, all you need to do is pour some hot water in the container about 20 minutes before you fill it with your hot beverage, and let it sit and pre-warm, just like the instructions told you to do. Mine holds a whole pot of black coffee (Don't judge me, I work four 12 hour days...), and my coffee is still quite hot when I fill my last mug of the day about 8 or 9 hours later. Thank you, Stanley for a great product and great customer service!

I bought a classic 1.1qt bottle several years ago after my father refused to give me the one he's been using for the past 30 years (you'd think he was a big Stanley fan, too). I often go hiking/camping in the mountains nearby and this thermos always goes with me. I recently purchased the 16 ounce thermos for work since I didn't need to haul this beautiful beast back and forth to the office. Whether big or small, Stanley thermoses just don't quit! You've got a lifelong fan with me (and apparently my dad, too).

I have had this thermos for a couple of years now, I bring it to the office every day and sip coffee all day long. This thermos should last you for the rest of your life, my father has had his for over 30 years, the newer design has a better stopper so you can pour your beverage without taking it completely out, keeping it warm longer. Aweomse product

I have to share this with you all. My Dad has had one of these type of flask his whole life and when we were kids we bought him another one for his birthday. Keep in mind I am fourty now and my Dad lives in another state far away from where I am. But he has used this flask for work, fishing, camping and everyday run around. It even has a huge dent in the side where it had been run over by a bulldozer. True every! He loves it and swears by it. Thanks for listening.

I purchased my classic Stanley thermos in 1991 (26 years ago), use it almost everyday for hot water since then and it still works great. The classic green paint is nearly all worn out and has some scratches and dents as well, but it looks very nice indeed. Is like an old warrior that never gives up. I work in rural business and farms, so it has a hard life in fieldwork and different machines. An excellent product!

I recently filled my 20+ year old Stanley Thermos with coffee and by lunch it was cold. I decided to go to the Stanley website to shop for a new thermos. And Wow!...I saw that my Thermos was still under warranty. After a phone call and a couple emails, they shipped me a new one...under warranty! I was a little skeptical since they are now made in China and mine was made in the USA. Well, I received my new Thermos and it works great!!!! Still looks like the original but is a little lighter(which I like) and I think it works better than the original one! Stanley still makes a Great product and I would recommend to anyone.

I bought one these about 16 years ago (back in 2000.) I have been using it on and off during that time. One day it didn't keep my coffee hot, about 4 hours and it was cold. Contacted the Warranty Service and said "What the heck! I got my moneys worth but you never know!" About a week later, I got an email stating from Stanley they will be shipping me a new. Holy COW!! I got a new one. Thank you Stanley. You REALLY back your products. Now I am buying everything STANLEY!! Thanks

I have nothing but amazing things to say. I had my first one for two years! This is the only thermos I will ever buy. Just bought my second to replace the first after losing it. Now... Here's the one thing I think you, the reviewer should know: the handle can break. This model has three spot welds on the top and bottom of the handle. If you get used to opening the thermos using the handle for support, you will stress the welds, and they will break. So try not to get in the habit of doing that. Even after mine broke, I still used it for a year. With no complaints. I have no concerns with this product. Even the handle. Mine took a beating for the two years I had the first and never broke. I even dropped it accidentally from two stories onto concrete. It still did it's job. So even with the handle, I still give it 5 out of 5. Don't take my word for it. Look at all the other reviews. It is worth the buy. The price is worth it. The product is perfect. The company it comes from is perfect. If you are looking for the perfect Christmas gift for your hubby, father's day, or your husband is in need of a new thermos. Even if it's not in your price range, this is the best thing to get him. It's practical, durable, and near invincible. I worked in an auto shop and watched someone drop a motor on his own Stanley thermos. It was dented, but still worked like brand-new. It's worth your money.

I've had my 1.4 quart thermos for quite some time. Very rugged for those long overnighters at work to mornings sipping coffee in my boat fishing. I just recently lost my cup on a fishing expedition and also the thermos too. After seeing it roll down the highway and retrieving it minutes later it still works flawlessly.

I found mine cheap second-hand at the flea market. It has plenty of dings & scratches but works just as good as a brand new one. I notice that there are an extra set of threads st the top that looks like it could take and extra (larger) cup that fits over the smaller one - but I've not been able to find a replacement so far.

This is my second Stanley Thermos, lost the first one. It rides along with me in the squad car, always. Getting in and out of the car during the cold winter months, you would think the coffee inside would get cold. My partner didn't believe my coffee was still hot at the end of one cold shift. When some of my coffee shortly found his hand, he became a true believer. It continues to serve me well at football games, long travels, and car trips. Thanks Stanley.

I needed a "good" thermos (1979) so I asked my foreman what he had. You could only tell it was a STANLEY by the spout end and lid/cup. The base was flat and teardropped (wont stand up on base). So I asked what happened. He said it had been run over by a forklift 10yrs earlier. He said,"still keeps coffee hot." That sold me!

Has been on a few (like a lot) of hunting trips. Can't believe I still have it. Retiring now but not the Stanley told wife she may get to use it now

I received this as a gift several years ago and have used it on numerous fishing and camping trips. We regularly make coffee in camp as soon as we're out of tents and immediately fill the thermos; it has never let me down. Coffee stays hot all day and the pour-through cap works as designed. If it's ever lost or stolen I'll definitely be buying another.
