The fit is about a half size to small. Good quality, thick leather uppers. Extremely comfortable. Good value, very pleased.

It's such a shame that I have to return this great look pair of Seavees. I've had countless pairs of slip-on, standards, and boots from Seavees. I wear a size 12 and have somewhere between a normal to wide foot, and have never had an issue with any of these shoes, including both the Mariner and Mammoth boots, which fit perfectly in a size 12. These boots had 2 flaws. The first was the stiff leather of the uppers. Stiff leather on it's own isn't a bad thing, but this somehow managed to be both stiff and unstructured, resulting in it rubbing on the ball of the ankles. This caused a decent amount of discomfort, even while wearing relatively thick Smartwool socks. Second, the toebox was either too short or too narrow, as it caused irritation and pain in the big toe. I wore them for several weeks hoping they just needed to be broken in, but these issues never resolved. Unfortunately, these great-looking boots had to go back. I'll plan on wearing my Mammoth boots more frequently since these won't be part of the rotation.
