Okay so I got this in addition to a Patagonia Torrent Shell because I wanted something longer for travel and just every day life where my butt won't get wet. I will say, it works fantastically, keeps me dry in downpours and overall fits really well. Some people noted issues with zippers but honestly I think it functions about as well as other two way zippers I have on other coats. I am 5'6" 145# and I got the small. I feel it fits well in the body (even over a 41" booty lol) and arms, but I feel like the shoulders could be improved. At the tops of my shoulders and traps it feels like it tugs, but not excessively. I could've probably stood to go up to a medium if I want to layer underneath but I'd rather just get an insulated one for colder portions of the year. Part of the tugging may simply be due to the way the body of the coat just integrally flows into the hood as opposed to having a distinct collar. Not entirely sure. Not a deal breaker for me but thats why I took a star off. Also I feel like the pockets are positioned weirdly high but I don't really use pockets on rain coats very much so yet to be determined how I feel about that.

I really wanted to love this jacket, but the sizing is very odd. It is a really loose, A line cut, and has waaaay too much extra space around the mid section. The L was huge around my mid section but bizarrely tight on my forearms. The cut also meant I felt like I had to pull the whole jacket forward when it was not fully zipped up, and it didn't sit comfortably on my shoulders. The XL was fine on my forearms but had double the space needed around my midsection.
Unfortunate as I was looking forward to this new design being the perfect rainy winter shell. Will be purchasing the Mistaya instead and hoping for a better fit.

I purchased this in December and live in the PNW so waterproof coats are a must. I have a number of arc'teryx items and I have yet to have any complaints up until this purchase. The zipper is fairly difficult to maneuver, even after two months of use. It started absorbing water within a few weeks. Although it doesn't soak through, the fabric around my hands would soak through and my wrists would get wet. I reapplied the DWR and washed according to instructions- only lasted a couple days before coming back. It's a decent coat, but not worth the price.

Tried on this coat at your Vancouver shop today. Gorgeous!!! Perfect urban coat for wet west coast. Love the cut, the snaps, the covered zipper and packets. Just wish it come it other colours. Deep burgundy???

I had a Codetta before but this one is a lot better. It is longer by about 20cm, it has a double zip, the Goretex material is a bit thicker and more elegant, it has internal cuffs inside the sleeves. I have been out in pouring rain with this and did not get wet at all. It is cut generously (much more so than the Codetta) and the material makes it look less 'sporty' and more elegant. It really is a fantastic coat, lightweight, breathable, totally waterproof, long enough to protect your thighs. The double zip makes it perfect for cycling.

This color is a wonderful alternative to black! The body of the coat is very full, more than enough to put layers underneath. Unfortunately there is something strange about the fit in the chest area. The bust line itself seemed okay, but the upper chest area in front seemed narrow, uncomfortable and unflattering on my body. Across the back was fine, however. The pockets are not placed in a way that would be convenient or comfortable to keep your hands in them while waiting for a bus!

I bought this jacket online without trying it on, the fit is gorgeous and although as others said I feel it is more snug in the arms and leaves a lot of room around my waist. The jacket would be improved with a cinch waist option. Otherwise it is an amazing jacket that is perfect for rainy west coast weather, I love how long it is.I feel like this can be worn to outdoor activities and then to dinner. I do find the zipper tough to zip up but I noticed the same thing on jackets I tried on in store as well. All in all love it.

I wanted to love this jacket. I'm in search of a long waterproof jacket for west coast daily life (Squamish will soak you to the bone if you are not prepared,) that fits my shoulders and arm length but has enough room to layer my Nuri puffy underneath (size small,) and not be constricted. I am 5'7 and lean build at 125 lbs for reference. In other Arcteryx jackets (Mistaya, Codetta,) I wear a small but a small in this has just too much volume overall even in a size down. And like another reviewer said, it was strangely tight around my wrists/forearms making it awkward to take on and off with a fleece on underneath. The idea of the coat is great (storm hood, long length, roomy cut for layering, refined colours that go with your wardrobe and can be dressed up or down, zipper flaps,) but for the price the fit wasn't there for me. The fit of the Andra coat is much better as far as a roomy, versatile but still flattering coat that you can wear to do anything in your daily life.
