I bought the Atom AR several years ago, and it quickly became the best jacket I owned, look, fit, and adaptability in different situations. The LT has all those same great qualities, just lighter insulation and better option as a mid layer or outer layer in cool conditions. Also, customer service (Geri) was amazing as I went through different sizes and styles.

I have owned this jacket for about three months now and absolutely love it. The DWR coating holds up well when in a drizzle (had to stand outside for 30 minutes because of a fire alarm in our building). Adding Coreloft Compact to the jacket for insulation seems like a genius idea because it will prolong the life of the jacket's warmth. The fit also feels a little bit looser than the Proton and I feel this jacket is one of the most versatile in the lineup. It still layers well with a shell over it and provides awesome warmth. I personally can wear it in the 30's in the Pacific Northwest and with just a T-shirt, I'm perfectly comfortable. I do run warm though so others might not find it as warm.
I do find the cuffs to be a little tight. This is both a good and bad thing because it keeps the heat in but makes it difficult to check my watch for time. Besides this I can't find anything to complain about!

Took off the backpacks me and my wife had on over these jackets and the belts ruined the fabric in the front on both jackets. Emailed Arcteryx with pictures and they said nothing they could do. Its a wear issue. So maybe i should hike in 30 weather in a t- shirt. Bad material. Wont buy again

I wear mine for pretty much every activity and wish the weather here was a bit colder so I could wear it even more!

My old Atom Hoody no longer fit but had been a staple in my wardrobe for over 10 years. From looking online I knew the design had updated, and went ahead and ordered 1 size up. I LOVE the longer length in the back, the peak on the hood and toggle to cinch. Great design updates that really addressed the few things I wish I could change on my old one. Well done Arc'teryx with keeping the quality and integrity of the original product, but updating it was featured that make sense.

The very best jacket I have ever owned. So comfortable you almost forget you are wearing it. Sizing is what I expected. Every part of this jacket is perfect. Looking to make another purchase

Beautiful hoody, very light and comfortably warm. I like that the back is long and the frontzipper goes up to the chin, so that my neck is cozy warm in windy weather.

A great mid-layer for hiking and scrambling. Unfortunately, the colors for the Atom jacket are very neutral/pale/boring. My orange one is getting old. It's time to come up with some nice bright blues, orange, and reds in that style. I always pick a bright jacket so I can be located easily while on a mountain. . Safety first.

I LOVE the Atom Hoody. It's the most worn jacket I own. I bring it with me for pretty much any outdoor activity in any season (skiing, hiking, camping, everyday city life). I live in Calgary, Alberta where it often feels like we get multiple seasons over the course of one day. This jacket is the perfect mid layer under a shell or extra warmth under another insulated coat. It's also very often just perfect on its own. I would be ecstatic if you came out with a thigh length version of this with a two way zipper. I know there are lots of thigh length insulated jackets out there but I love the feel and weight of this one. The matte finish is nice, too. I feel like so many of the lightweight insulated coats out there are really shiny.

I am so happy I bought this jacket, it's perfect for winter trekking with a base layer . So far I've been out in -15 and freezing rain and I was warm and dry. It is also breathable so you don't get sweaty

ATOM is my favorite jacket. She has accompanied me to the plateaus of Tibet and western Sichuan, explored deep mountains, and been a great companion for running or day hikes. Atom is highly breathable; during spring and autumn hikes, I use her as an outer layer, effectively balancing warmth and moisture-wicking during outdoor activities. I never feel too cold or too hot, avoiding the hassle of frequent clothing changes. When the camp is static, she serves as a versatile mid-layer for warmth.
For daily travel or road trips, Atom is a must-have item for me. The comfortable and soft fabric makes traveling more relaxing. Moreover, she is easy to pack, compact in storage, and retains her fluffy and soft texture immediately upon unpacking after a long period.

I bought the Atom Hoody in Yukon in XS and it's a beautiful color. Slightly lighter than the photos, but I still love it. It's super breathable yet warm, and perfect for climbing and other outdoor activities. Once it began to get colder, like 4C/40F, I felt it wasn't warm enough for me while I was outdoors and climbing (but I run a little cold). I ended up getting the Atom Heavyweight as well for winter climbing/outdoor activities, and I'll wear my regular Atom during fall and spring.
I originally ordered an S but found it was too large and baggy so I exchanged it for an XS. For reference, I'm 5'4", 112lbs and an athletic/slim build with wider shoulders and a smaller waist. I can still fit a base layer, t shirt, and tank top under the XS.

Love this jacket! The level of warmth in high gusts of cold wind is unbelievable! The fit is perfect, and the length is just right at the hip, the adjustable hood is ahhhmazing! I bought this based on daughter in law's recommendation, and she was correct in that it keeps you warm without any drafts! The only improvement would be for an entire jumpsuit made out of this material - I would wear it every day!

I really love the Atom Hoody. My first one. I read the reviews of how some people feel like the design and quality have changed. But I really have nothing to compare to. It is a great stand alone piece or a mid layer. I love the colour. More navy blue than saphire. I feel great in it. Not too tight and not too lose. It was pricey but I feel like this should last me for years to come.

I bought this in Whistler, a couple of weeks ago and am in love with that! Just the perfect level of warmth and comfort. I bought a medium, which is snug, but not too tight, and goes perfectly under the Gore-Tex shell. I might be back to buy it in other colours

Comfy fit, warm and it isolates good, even if it's -20 degrees I can still wear it with only one wool baselayer under while going up a mountain.

I love how comfortable this sweater is. I put it on when whenever I go out as a midlayer or outerlayer and it's great an insulating me at the right amount. Plus it's super light and packable. Highly recommend!

Bought the jacket three weeks ago, and i'm absolutely happy. It holds the temperature of the body solidly warm but under 3-4 C it slowly starts to get a little colder. I recommend wearing at this temperature at least an longsleeve under the jacket. But for how thin and light the Jacket is (you can literally see through the jacket, holding ist against light) it is such an great midlayer, especially with an Hardshell on top.

My favorite Jacket. Have an Atom LT from several years ago lost it last season after years of great service. Love that they made an update to the Atom LT to make it longer. I am 6'5", 210 lbs the XL fits great.
