This trim-fitting parka has been a confidence booster. It'll challenge your vanity as you go mirror-seeking to check yourself out. I'm 6' tall, weigh 87 kgs, waist 37". The L was almost exactly built for my body type with just about enough room for a mid-layer.
The jacket's warm and waterproof. I came back unscathed from a windy, snowy, slushy Toronto evening in wet, sub-zero weather. I could have probably done without the fleece mid-layer I was wearing at the time.
The jacket's comfortable on the body and does not hinder movement. The breathable material adds to the comfort. There's some restriction, though, when you're driving but nothing that adjusting the zipper won't resolve.
The hood comfortably fits over my Beats headphones and is great protection against the elements. It helps that the hood is removable for that extra flexibility.
The fabric is on the crinkly side. It'll give you that extra little bit of attention outside of what the jacket already assures you. Jokes apart, the 'jacket sounds' are not significantly bothersome to dock any stars.
I bought the jacket as 'office' winterwear but its smart look has carried me though both professional and casual environments. I don't wear it for any types of workouts - low or high intensities.
All-in-all, this is one of the best jackets I've worn. It's got the look, the feel and the utility! It keeps the Arc'teryx addiction going.

Bought this jacket in both xs and s. I'm 5'7'' athletic build but have a 27 inch waist. xs fits the best and doesn't make me look like a rectangle. Jacket is very warm, good construction and quality. I don't think it sounds loud, so not sure why someone said that with review. If your slimmer, stick to this jacket since it's slim fit.

Bought this for a frigid Minnesota winter and it appears to be up to the task. Lightweight, warm, breathable. Fits to size.

Smooth fit, slim lines on a well styled jacket. Been using their jackets for 15 years and wanted a more stylish jacket to parade around in. As the weather cools down I will have the warmest body around. Too bad my hands and feet will be cold.

I was looking for a waterproof parka for around the city that was slim fit, not too bulky and from a Canadian company. I've only had it a month and have fallen in love with it, it is so comfortable and completely waterproof. Looking forward to the weather getting colder so I can wear it more.

I am 6ft athletic build, 42" chest and broad shoulders. Large is good for me in Arcteryx.
I was looking to upgrade for warmth and styling from my Kappa (140g all over Coreloft) and wanted to go down with water protection, hence the gore-tex. Don't get me wrong the Kappa was awesome but it felt a little bulky for me and when it was really cold (-20 to -30 celcius) I had to layer a fleece under to be comfortable.
So my solution: I initially purchased the Therme to and was between sizes (Med & Large). It too felt bulky around my face as well, although I know doubt know this would have been the warmest parka around and it was long enough to cover your tail end. It would be perfect for a larger and taller 6ft 2"+ individual but not me.
I elected to go off the advise of customer support with the trimmer and shorter tail profile of the Camosun, and glad I did, it the large fits bang on like all my other Arc'teryx jackets have. The main issue people have had on reviews is the pockets and noise from the shell rubbing. Sure if the pockets were a little deeper and fully fleeced out it would be a plus but they work and for the shell it's the N150p-X 2L GORE-TEX fabric and until they invent the silent ninja fabric version it is how it should sound, durable and impermeable to the elements. It really is not bad at all, I don't even notice.

Solid design, sleek lines, love the blue color. Small fits well on an athletic 5-10 frame, although seems longer than the images suggest, which becomes v.noticeable when kneeling/bending with the jacket zipped. Hope the zip lock withstands that. The hood is noisy when up, yet insulates well. Good wind protection. Should last for years.

I looked long and hard for the best down parka out there, and tried on several before choosing the Camosun Parka. I use it for everyday-wear in a cold city, and this parka is really warm, and also has a great cut and style. I loved it so much, that I bought one for my son too, and he loves it as well!

Fantastic, lightweight, warm, wind and waterproof jacket. Sizes run large. I'm 5'8" and almost opted for the small, but on a whim from other reviews, took a chance with the extra small. Turns out that was right on the mark. The extra small is almost too big, but fits fine. I have enough space for bottom layers but am not swimming in the jacket without them.
Do not recommend jacket for anyone shorter than 5'8".

We're hitting 0C / 32F in Zurich, Switzerland. I just got the Camo, and went to the office without wearing any additional layer under my Camo. No pullover, no fleece, just my shirt. Unbelievable what this parka can do.

After an early blast of the polar vortex in Minnesota, I decided to get a more windproof down jacket to walk the dogs in the morning. I typically take them out for a 2 mile walk, and a walk on the Prairie and the wind can really be cutting and cold. The jacket arrived and I put it on and took it on a walk immediately noticing how much more comfortable I was. Very little wind leakage, trim fit but reallyFits nicely and does not look like I'm walking around in a sleeping bag.

The Camosun is the best jacket I ever owned. It is very warm in the Dutch winters. It has a removable capuchon. When it's removed you get a clean look. I used the jacket now 4 years and I can use it the upcoming years.
The con is that the buttons of the capuchon sometimes go open, but this is a minor issue.
Furthermore the cuffs by your hands are comfortable.
What can be improved is to add a pocket at the breast that is on the outside. Now when you want to reach the inner pocket, you have to open the main zip, which is sometimes uncomfortable when it is raining/snowing.
I am 1,90 meter tall, 84kgs and XL fits good.

Great trendy jacket. Keeps you warm. It's a bit too perfect of a fit. I'm 5'8 and 175 lbs. it's tight if I wear a sweatshirt/hoodie. Other than that I don't need to wear something so bulky since it keeps me warm.

This coat was outside of my price range, but I scooped one up on a rare sale event from a re-seller.
Coat is very stylish, trim and warm. With other brands, my 5-10/190lb frame fits somewhat loosely inside a Large. But with camosun, it was a neat/trim fit, never uncomfortably tight. I got compliments from many.
Recently, the temperature dipped to the single digits (thanks to the split polar vortex business) in the DC area. A mid base layer, a dress shirt and Camosun over it was all I needed outside for my 15-20 minutes walk/commute outside. Felt warm. In fact, pretty hot inside the car (68 degrees), I had to turn off the heater.
Cons: Wish the zipper was 2 way. Helps inside the car.
Fabric is a bit noisy. But that may be a general feature of a hard-shell.
Hopefully, this will last me a life time

I bought this coat after many hours of researching expert reviews and customer feedback online. I'm happy to say this coat lives up to the hype for me. I find it stylish, warm, and truly waterproof and windproof...which is critical for my needs.
I've worn this coat in 35* F weather with rain/sleet and in 5* F weather with nasty winds. It has held up like a champ in every scenario. It's easy to layer with a thin fleece or synthetic underneath if needed. Also, the inside down and lining are super soft and feels like you're slipping into a sleeping bag when you put it on. Bonus!
Only minor con I can think of is the hood. While the hood is warm...it's not the most flattering or form fitting. Seems too big (like it was designed for use under a helmet) and too square in shape. I don't wear the hood often so not a deal killer for me.
Note: I did have to return one Camosun because the zipper kept getting stuck every time I tried to zip it up. The 2nd coat did not have this problem.
Overall, I'm happy with this coat!

Gone are the days of the baggy ugly parkas that dominate Canadian winters. This parka is a beautiful piece of clothing. It has clean, unbroken lines that produce a great silhouette. The jacket is extremely warm, and its shell excels in wet, sloppy weather common in Toronto. It would be nice if Arteryx carried more colour choices. An olive green would look incredible in this jacket. Otherwise, it really is the perfect parka. I've never received more compliments on a jacket.

Just bought this winter for commuting by train into city. Didn't want the full traditional parka (CG, Fjallraven, LL Bean) look. Needed something to keep me warm but be light enough to not overheat on the train or subway. I didn't want to look like an eskimo walking the sidewalks with the hooded fur.
Love the simple style and functionality of Arc'teryx jackets, have one for skiing and another for hiking. This fits true, I'm 6'1" and 190 lbs, the size L was perfect, big enough to have sweater underneath but not bulky at all. The hood issues others have mentioned seem to be corrected with current version. Hood fits perfectly without blocking field of view. My only wish was that the chest pocket for phones was on the outside instead of inside so it would be reachable without unzipping. Perfect length for sitting on train, no need for 2 way zipper.

I bought this coat last month and although I live in Manhattan - I travel to central Minnesota six or seven times a year and often its in the winter. On Christmas I woke up Central MN (Pine City) and it was -21 with a windchill on -32. I had to go outside a couple of times and my core and everything the coat covered - was warm!!!.
I agree the hood is big but it does adjust quickly, I've never been a fan of hoods in general and that's the beauty of this coat, as I simply removed the hood and my plan is to snap it back on only if it's snowing/sleeting. I just zip my coat up (covers my chin) and I wear a heavy wool hat. I not sure what the fuss is about lack of pockets. I put my wallet in my left pocket, cell phone and glasses in my breast (inner pocket) and keys in my right pocket and plenty of room for more stuff..
I tried to find something wrong with this coat but I really can't. Here in Manhattan, Canada Goose is routinely seen but there is no way I'd trade my coat for a CG - as in my mind, this coat is much more fitted and stylish than the CG and doesn't have that ridulous fur hood (that's non removable)
Lastly - I am back home in Manhattan and went on an hour walk today in the park (it was 18 degrees) and only wore a cotton long sleeve shirt underneath it and I was warm with no hint of a chill...I wouldn't trade this coat for any other coat and highly recommend it and I love that this coat is waterproof!!!
