This jacket is amazing. I actually own two different colors just because I like the styling and color layout that much. One request though: Arc'Teryx, next year can you make the Squid Ink Atom LT Hoody have the entire interior liner be the same safety yellow as the accents? OR make one in a khaki/olive color with an electric blue interior, like the Hyllus Hoody. Do that and I'll own three.

I love this jacket. Since I bought it last week, I've hardly taken it off. It's great to lounge around in, but of course I had to subject it to some harsh testing in the Adirondack High Peaks for my first winter hike of the year. We happen to have picked a zero degree day (high under 10 degrees, low -1F) for a 9 1/2 hour hike up Algonquin, Iroquois and Wright. Even though it was FREEZING, using this as my top layer kept me warm in the extreme cold (keep in mind we were MOVING all day). I wore a wool baselayer, lighter jacket over it and the Atom Hoody over that layer. This jacket ROCKS - what do I love? I love the sleeves - instead of velcro, they have this power stretch stuff that just tapers perfectly - nothing to fiddle with or adjust. I've never raved about a zipper before, but this zipper is SMOOTH -even with heavy mittens, I could zip and unzip the jacket. The hood has no adjustments but it's PERFECT - when it got a bit windy, I just put the hood on and it broke the wind, provided extra warmth and even covered my mouth enough to keep out the cold air without having to use a facemask. Even though I'm a 5'5" female, I bought the men's medium (it has an athletic fit, so size up a bit) as it fit perfectly when I tried it on and I liked the color. This jacket is SIMPLE but effective - no bells and whistles, but even with this light layer of Coreloft, when used as a layering piece, it kept me warm in zero degree weather all day. In this picture, I'm standing on top of Algonquin, the 2nd highest peak in the Adirondacks on December 24th and I'm not freezing cold. Finally, I love the venting material under the arms - instead of pit zips, this material ventilates very well. For once, I didn't overheat as this jacket ventilates well. I'm in love with this jacket and since it's SO light and SO packable, it's the kind of jacket you just want to throw into your pack in winter OR in summer for quick warmth.

When I bought this jacket, I would have never imagined how much I would love this piece. Recently, a friend referred to it as the best jacket in the world and I agree. It is THE most versatile jacket ever: stylish, always warm, never too hot, the shape of the hoody is PERFECT, I wear it on high mountains, downtown, wherever...Bulk free, superlight, optimal warmth-to-weight ratio, if you want to buy one peace from Arc'teryx, get the Atom LT. It is easy to wash and dry, too. I'm observing some pilling on the side panels, but just very very slightly. I've had this jacket for a bit under a year and worn it year round! I take in on every hike, no matter how hot or cold the weather is. Considering buying a second one in another color.

I have a serious complaint about this jacket. Let me explain (briefly): I bought this jacket as part of my outdoor layering system, expecting to use it with a baselayer and a shell out on the trail / crag when the going got cold. However - and this is a real problem - since I bought it I have pretty much worn it every day. I wear it to work, I wear it under my motorcycle jacket, I wear it out in the evening and I wear it to walk to the shops. The problem: this jacket is super light, super warm, super comfortable and an annoyingly good cut/fit with really urban styling. The hood is uber comfortable. The fit is fantastic. The fabrics feel amazing. It weighs far less than any of my other daily wear jackets, and is more comfortable and better looking than them too. Don't buy this jacket if you intend on leaving home without it.

Super impressed in all respects. Light enough I barely notice it in my pack. Yet it seems to provide more warmth than I'd expect for being so thin. Amazingly water resistant as well. Wore it in a heavy rain in Moab and didn't even come close to soaking thru. The hood fits well and I use it often because of that. Excellent warmth to weight/volume.

The hoody is perfect for these cold winter days. It also works well even when it rains. The moisture repellent coating works well, and water beads on it just like a waterproof shell.

This hoody is so well-designed that I can actually be bothered to write a review! It's essentially windproof, super lightweight, comfortable, breathable, stretchy in all the right places, warm and packs down into a tiny package. I LOVE this piece. It's one of the best clothing items I have ever bought. It works as a jacket on cool fall/spring days, and as an insulating layer when it gets colder. I'm getting one for my little bro.

So hab die Jacke ja bereits fr mich bewertet. Nun auch fr die Frau gekauft. Also natrlich wie immer sehr gut verarbeitet. Fr mich eines der "Must Have" Arc'teryx Produkte.

This jacket is awesome! It's extremely light, comfortable, versatile, and looks great too! I use this jacket almost year round. It's a great jacket in the fall and a great midlayer in the winter. I also use this jacket for running in the fall/spring and I sometimes even sleep with this jacket on when it gets really cold, it's that comfortable! I like this jacket so much that I will be buying the SV model and another LT in another colour in the near future. This jacket is worth every penny and more!

I've had North Face products for many years now and this is my first venture into the Arcteryx brand after hearing so many good things about it. This jacket fits true to size and is very comfortable. I needed a nice jacket I can wear during the fall and be breathable and wind-resistant. This jacket does all that and is also a good mid-layer for the colder months. I'm looking forward to more products from Arcteryx.

I LOVE this jacket! from early Autumn to late Spring this jacket WILL be in my pack. So many times it offers just the right amount of extra warmth. Belaying on a cold morning/standing around camp even sleeping in it in your bivy.... it does the job! Being synthetic its not the end of the world if it gets wet or needs to be washed in some far flung place. I can't think of anything I'd change, in fact PLEASE don't change anything! If this jacket doesn't become an Arcteryx classic theres no justice in the world! 10/10!

I hike the western Washington Cascades year round especially the trails of Mt Rainier. Excellent craftsmanship like all arcteryx products. During the spring and fall months this jacket is to warm to be worn during movement. But makes for a great throw on piece when stopped for water break or snack. In fact, when ever my pack comes off this jacket goes on to help conserve all that heat I just built up. Will shed light precip, especially with a shake. But not recommended for real rain. Fits really nice, I'm 6' 1" 175 and wear a large.

I've had my Atom LT Hoody for over a year now and it has become my go-to piece for Mid and Outer layering. From temps in the mid 30's and up the Atom is a great outer layer, comprable to Marmots Zeus or Patagonia's Down Sweater. When the temp drops below 30, or I'm on the slopes, the Atom pairs nice with my Arcteryx Theta AR shell. The two of those combined are the perfect combination of warmth and breathability. The one minor complant is on windy days with minimal activity, a breeze can cut through the Polartec Power Stretch side panels, but if you layer properly, or are doing a high intensity activity that the jacket is designed for, this is a very minor issue. Overall the Atom LT Hoody is awesome. I recommend it to anyone looking for a versitle Mid/Outer layer insulator.

I have owned an Atom LT Hoody and the awsome Atom MX for nearly a year now. Both have served me well and kept me comfortable on the mountain and toasty warm in the valley...Core loft insulation is super light and very warm for its weight. Wether used under a shell or as an outer layer these pieces are the bomb..(no pun intended..! ) The outer material is tuff but it will only take so much abuse(so if you find yourself in a horrible chimney or off width you may have some war scars on your Atom!) Another excellent garment...

So far so good, I wanted a lighter jacket for summer, and I do love the colour. I honestly wish this had been in the puff style for women. I feel like the men's line is usually much better with colour and variety of products.

I bought the atom hoody because I needed a synthetic mid-layer. It is very functional but the one thing I wasn't the biggest fan of was that it looked a good bit loftier/ warmer in the photos online

The sizing has changed! My wife has the tiger Lilly version, size large, of the Atom jacket that is about 10 years old. We didn't think this classic jacket would change but the new size large Yukon color fits much larger. She will have to exchange it for a medium.

I love the aesthetic, weight, warmth and breathability of this jacket. It's perfect to have in my pack when I'm climbing or hiking. However, the hood cinches in the back rather than around the face so it does a horrible job keeping the wind out. This design is probably meant for ppl wearing a helmet but for everyday wear where I just need to stay warm without wearing a hat/beanie, this is a major design flaw.

Doesn't fit as well as I would like - had to go to a size from what fits my body for the sleeves and jacket not to be too short (5'8", 145ish). Otherwise good jacket. Wish they had a light coloured jacket that was a standard neutral colour like the men's.

I love this Atom Hoody. I still use my old black one that is over 10 years old but wanted a new one too. Got it in the sale. Only slight issue is that the sizing has changed and I bought a Small and would have preferred and XS. I compared it to my older Atom Hoody and the arms are the same size but the body of the new one is about an inch longer and probably more than that wider in the body. I could not change sizes due to stock and I love the bright yellow 'Sprint' colour. It can be adjusted at the bottom and the hood is adjustable, which my oolder one isn't so that is a bonus. Also it comes up further than my old one to protect my face which is great to put on after a cold xc race. Love the jacket, just seems Arcteryx has made their sizes bigger.

While water repellent it is also snow repellent it seems. Light snow however. Eventually the atom does begin to look wet - this can take up to 20 minutes. Wouldn't recommend for a standalone outer layer but is an excellent mid layer. Inside pocket helps. Kyanite hoody, atom and beta lt all work well together. Plenty of pockets and keeps you warm and dry. 220 is quite an investment however, you can get fully waterproof products for that price. But you're paying for a superior mid layer/emergency outer layer if you're caught out or if you're putting out the bins.

The usual superb quality arcteryx is known for - lightweight, breathable, JUST the right level of insulation jacket. With some notable improvements over the older version. Sleeves now have a new cuff around the wrist which is very good, logo is stitched on not printed, fleece material on the sides has more stretch making it a tighter fit then the previous iterations. Size wise it's less straight forward then before, I bought L (which I buy for all arcteryx products) but it's tighter then I expected; still fits well, but wearing a heavy sweater underneath is now less comfy. So why no 5 star? That would be the zipper, despite the fancy zipper pulls, the zipper appears to be of lesser quality then before not 'zipping' up as smoothly, it feels like there is some friction, only time will tell how it stand up to the test of heavy wearing - for the rest, it's a straight five star piece of gear - as per the usual!

I bought this 1 week ago for my girlfriend. She is 163cm tall and 57kg weight, and the M size is perfect, a little larger but for a winter cover is fine.
