I LOVE these Merrell Encore shoes..but this new updated Encore Ice 4 runs really big and was at least a half size too big for my foot! II am having a half size smaller sent to me but I am still not sure if that will be small enough! I have no idea why Merrell decided to make this shoe so much larger than it was before. If it ain't broke..don't fix it! Just wanted other people who are purchasing these to be sure and size down!

Essential for taking the dog out in the winter when I’m barefoot and in pajamas

This is my 3rd pair of Merrell Encore Ice 4. ( One pair was stolen at my fitness club so I had to replace it ASAP.) The genuine shearling lining is the only way for me to keep my feet warm, as opposed to acrylic, which just doesn't do it. To me, the arch support on these shoes is better than UGGs in a similar style which I tried on earlier. These are perfect to slip on during the cold winter when the snow is not deep. They are easier to get on and off than regular boots.

Zappos is awesome. Such great customer service. I order my shoes from Zappos because they are so fantastic in quality and quality customer care on returns too. This Merrell style is a no go for me. I am very sad they are not the same quality as the Merrell Encore Q2 ICE. I have wore the Encore Q2 for many years now. They are - were awesome. The shearling used to be of high quality. Thick padding comforting for my terrible aching feet and such great arch support. I have a hard time walking anymore and these are the only shoes that I found soothing relief from the foot problems at the end of a long day. I was thrilled when I saw the encore for sale and quickly & happily ordered them. I did not notice the Q2 original and these ICE 4 style name differences they look so similar in the pics. The new ones lining shearling does not feel of the same quality and feel thin and synthetic. The size runs very large and feel like flat boards to my feet. Nothing felt good. I even tried a half size down and when those felt not so great I then searched out my old shoe box and found the style name differences. Pic attached older one on left see how much more full the left shoe original shoe lining is. I guess I will be returning these no matter how much I would love for these to have been like the original ones. I keep trying them on in disbelief- hoping it is just my imagination because they look so similar on the outside. lol. Thanks Zappos! for your help as always on returns.

I've worn Encore Ice for probably 20 years. Why because of the awesome fit and comfort and my feet are difficult to fit. They are also durable. I can wear a pair for 3 or 4 years with little wear. i can hardly believe the review that submitted a 1 star review as they are difficult to find Merrell in stock!

Overall I am happy with these shoes. They are not shoes I would walk far in, no long walks or a hike. I bought them for going out to the barn and dealing with horses on a short term basis and for that, they are working great. They are easy to slip on and off for a quick trip. If I were going to use them for longer walks I would need to pullout the liner that comes with the shoe and put in orthotics. They stay on my feet nicely especially with socks, they are warm, and comfortable. I have a larger right foot and the right shoe feels a little snugger than the left but I am hoping the right shoe will stretch out in time. It's not so snug that I would send them back. I would recommend.

I love these shoes! I have been working from home since the beginning of the pandemic and needed something comfortable to wear throughout the day as well if I needed to run an errand. They are warm and very comfortable. I normally wear with a thin sock but very nice without as well. I am a size 10 and seem true to size.

I AM A BIG FAN!! I had an old pair of these clogs from at least 8 years ago - they were worn to a frazzle, so I bought myself a new pair for Christmas. They are better than the old ones - I LOVE them. I wear them as my house slippers/shoes, and my feet are warm and cosy all day long. HIGHLY recommend these shoes, worth every penny!!!!!!!!! And I don't spend money foolishly. I bought a half size larger than my shoe size to accomodate winter wool socks. Perfect.

I love these shoes! I ordered a 1/2 size smaller after reading reviews but they were still too big! I sent them back and ordered another 1/2 size smaller and they fit perfect! I’m always a 6 1/2 in shoes I had to go with a 5 1/2 if this helps!

These shoes are soft, comfortable out of the box, warm, pretty good arch support (def better than moderate but less than excellent). I have the sage green color and I’m glad I chose it. My feet are not cold nor do they sweat. I could not be more pleased with this purchase. My knees do not hurt at the end of the day.

So soft and comfy! A perfect fit that feels like your favorite, most comfortable shoes the first time you step into them. My new favorite winter shoes!

I am a Merrell fan so I have many styles that range from 6.5 to 7.5. I was concerned about the shearling lining and size with socks so I got the 7 and the 7.5. The 7's fit just right. I would recommend that you go with your usual size on this shoe. I needed a warm slide to wear with winter socks for quick outside trips (I live in Michigan). Not snow wear, just something to run to the store and these fit the bill. Comfy, warm and solid.

I always loved these shoes and I had returned them because the medium width was really wide. Wish they hadn't changed it. The right shoe is my old one and the left side is the newer wider version. These are the exact same size and width apparently.

Love love these merrells. But where are the charcoal suede ones? It's early in the winter and only size I see available is a women's 5? Please bring this shoe back! Best Merrells ever

I have been buying these shoes for over 10 years now. I love the new turquoise color. However, there are a few things I should mention about this shoe. It has definitely changed. It is still a great shoe. However, the last pair I bought about a year ago squeaks really bad. Also, the shoes now run extremely wide. I normally wear a 10 Wide, but wear a 10.5 medium in this shoe. I literally had to get a 9.5 medium because they run a whole size larger. Also, Merrell stopped making the shereling replacement insoles. Maybe they realized that the shoes last for such a long time that the replacement insoles are only $20 vs buying a new pair at $120. The quality of the shoe has some slight changes in quality that most people would not know unless they were a schooled shoe expert like myself and/or they have been wearing the shoe for a long period of time and can see the "cutbacks in quality over the years. overall, if this show that I just bought has anymore issues I will or can no longer support an oinferior product.

This is a great shoe! Sort of a cross between a slipper and a shoe. fleece lining makes them warn and cozy.

I didn’t expect to love these but I do. I am working from home and needed something casual and comfy that I could quickly slip into. These are as comfortable as slippers with no break-in required. I have a high arch and often cannot wear clogs, mules, or slip ons because my arch makes it uncomfortable or impossible for my foot to slide completely into the shoe. But not so with Merrell Encore Ice. It can accommodate my high arch very comfortably. The fleece lining is a big plus, soft and warm. These have quickly become my “go to” shoes.

They are comfortable, supportive and great for running errands. I love the removable insole. I found then to be one size too large. I’m usually a size 12 and needed to down size to size 11. I’d buy them again.

The previous Merrell Encores had a great snug fit around the mid-foot and arch so the shoes stayed completely in place on the foot. These are wide and slosh around the foot. They're still pretty comfortable as bedroom slippers, but i'd be wary about wearing them outdoors, which completely reduces their usefulness.

I have Plantar fasciitis. I am always on the lookout for a pair of shoes that will minimize this inflammation. These Merrell clogs are great. I have no pain!
