I can’t remember a shoe that’s felt this comfortable and broken in immediately. Love Merrells as it is. These are top notch.

Fit is normal. Cushioning is good. Sole tread is good. Bonus feature, they are noticeably lighter than my previous trail runners. Style wise, they are blacker than they appeared on screen, and they have a round toe which is different than most running shoes.

I originally owned the agility synthesis shoes and loved them! One of the first pairs of really grippy shoes I'd owned and very light. These we a great next generation. I've worn them on many hikes including the rim-to-rim in the Grand Canyon. Whenever walking up rock slabs, my group would mention how impressed they are with the grip on my shoes.

Excellent shoes, light, durable and very comfortable. Had them for work, hiking and workout. True fit. Very casual and athletic look. Love them. Un fortunately prices are going up.

I've been purchasing Merrel products for years. I work in a hospital and you do a lot of walking. Nothing better than a pair of Merrels to make your day easier. Merrels are worth every penny. They last for years! I also go to the dog park with my boys and we walk a lot there. Also the gym almost every day. Would not wear anything else.

These shoes are great for runnings and walking! My wife and walk 3-4 times per week and they are easy to slide on and very comfortable to walk in for long periods of time. I also run in them and event though they look bulky they are very lite weight and easy to traverse in over mild terrain and flat surfaces.

Took a little longer than usual to receive these shoes. Not the vault of the vendor. I have APO mail and the shoes came to me in a roundabout way. In any event, I usually were shoes for like a week prior to taking them on a run in order to beak them in. With these, they felt pretty good when I tried them on, and I took a chance and went on a 7 mile run with them and had no problems. I liked them so much, that I decided to order another pair since I do at least a 7-mile run every day and I like to give shoes a rest after running in them. In any event, I would highly recommend these shoes for trail running.

I had searched online for weeks for comfortable shoes to take walks on asphalt roads. I finally got tired of reading and ordered these hoping the good reviews were the correct ones. This shoes is not advertised as waterproof or a hiker so don't buy them for that and then complain! These surprised me when I felt how light they were, I thought no way would they give me the support and cushion I need for my wore out old feet, but boy did they prove me wrong. They are light, but very comfortable and give good support. I usually can't walk for more than 1 mile or 30 minutes because my feet just ache, but I walked through a huge flea market on gravel then did some shopping in them and could have still gone longer. No back pain or foot pain, this is huge for me. Sizing is spot on, enough room for toes, but not enough for shifting of the foot. I certainly wouldn't complain if there was just a bit more cushion in the entire insole, but they are the the most comfortable shoes I have now. I would buy more of these in other colors if they were available.

New to trail running, I wanted a quality shoe with the comfort of my tried and true Merrell hiking boots. Not disappointed. So comfortable, light and just the right support.

Wore my original Agility Synthesis pair for over two years before I finally broke down and recognized they needed to be replaced. I was concerned when I learned the Agility Synthesis had been upgraded to the Mk 2 variant; often shoes are "upgraded," ruining what owners loved about the originals. This is not the case with the Agility Synthesis 2. True to the style, fit, and feel of the orginals, while offering some tweaks. Don't worry about upgrading!

Nice lite shoe. Got them the other day.
The shoe size ran spot on (I usually wear an 11 1/2 and it fit perfectly). I immediately put 5 miles on them. No slipping, no hardpoints.
I don't think these are made for backpacking or canyon climbing. I think this is a good non-paved running shoe/crossfit shoe. I think if you tried to hike the grand canyon in these, you might be upset. It's not that shoe. They work great for what I had intended.

I bought this shoe for crossfit style workouts. It's lightweight with great traction. I've had the bare access and bare access trail shoes and I love them both; however, I think i may like these more because they have a little more cushion. The laces are also longer than the bare access shoes also. Love them, great job Merrell!

Fit works works well for me and I have flat feet, the size 15 is true to size and even on the width.

Be specific about your likes and dislikes. How was the fit and size? What does the material feel like? How awesome (or not) do you feel wearing them?

Very good all around trail shoe. Protective, cushioned and nice grip. Only reason for 4 stars is me being picky about how the upper and lockdown feel.

This is my first time wearing Merrell shoes and I am impressed. The overall fit of the shoe is comfortable. Plenty of cushion in the heel and the forefoot. Also some extra padding around the upper heel and tongue. The outer material does a great job at keeping dirt and rocks out. The shoe is slightly water resistant. Running in puddles and hopping across streams have kept my feet fairly dry. I thought this material would make my feet hot but so far so good. However, the shoe is not water proof by any means. The lugs provide great traction on the trails and aren't too aggressive to where running on road would be terrible. Could be a road to trail option. The rock plate also protects the feet and doesn't make the shoe too stiff. I've worn the shoe for a total of 28 miles and they feel the same and look the same. Durability is what I see so far. Couple things I don't like. The laces come untied unless you double knot really tight. And the material makes it hard to untie. I also wish the shoe was a bit lighter and nimble. Overall, I will be wearing these on a lot more runs to come. I would recommend this shoe.

These shoes fit great and worked well as running shoes but are starting to fall apart less than 9 months later. The bottom is crumbling around the edges and the foot bed is becoming unglued rather noticeably. These were purchased in March and are falling apart as of November to the point of searching for new shoes to purchase all over again.
