I received this jacket for this upcoming fall/winter and it has served me very well within the -5 C to 5 C degrees. It is thigh length and provides great coverage and a nice relax but still somewhat slim fit for the movement. The pockets are fleece lined and are soft, but there is no coreloft in front of the pocket so chances are your hands will get cold.I only wish that the jacket had a two way zipper.

I did an online shopping session with Arc'Teryx and was able to determine that this was the right jacket for me. It is comfortable, warm, and great for all around wear.

Got this jacket for Christmas, been looking for a jacket that was waterproof with insulation lining for a while. Perfect for what I need. Lighter jacket than expected but that's a plus for me.

I was torn between the radsten and the koda jacket. After trying this jacket on I fell in love. The quality of this jacket is amazing. Great job arcteryx!!

Just got this jacket in preparation for winter. Something that would look good, and be functional.
I have been a huge Arc'teryx fan for years now. Currently own seven of them. I went with the megacosm color. It is quite a bit darker of a shade than what the pictures show, but I actually prefer it to the pictures on here. I will say that is one complaint I have with most other coats I have purchased from them. Inconsistent color in person compared to photos.
I haven't been able to test out the jacket on a cold day yet as living in St. Louis, MO we haven't had any yet this season. I'll update the review once I've had chance to properly test it out.
I am 5'10.5" and about 190lbs Athletic build and ordered a medium. The jacket fits very well. Loose enough firing that I could wear a thick sweater or something along those lines underneath.
I would definitely recommend it to someone.

After much research I purchased this coat as i wanted something warm, breathable, wind and waterproof. UK weather can really change and needed something quite versatile although difficult to get a coat that does everything. Following my purchase I am generally quite happy with it. It's breathable, stylish, light weight, warmish and wind/ rainproof. The only downsides were that I was expecting it to be warmer. When moving the Coreloft works ok but static or minimal movement in low temps and i have felt cold in it. I have since bought an Atom LT as a mid layer when it get really cold. Also the cuffs have started to wet out and the DWR doesn't seem to work on them. As I have said, difficult for a coat to do everything but this coat does well and generally pleased with it.

It's surprisingly warm for how low profile the insulation is. I've worn it's around town a few times and it's pretty comfortable. It looks very high end as well.
My only issue is the hand pockets. I understand that the flaps are designed for keeping rain out BUT they're so annoying that I don't use them.
Which means I have to wear gloves with this jacket because I can't reach my pants pockets due to it being a parka. Still really like it overall.

The material is soft but the hood is way too big and it needs a two-way zipper. Any coat this length should have a two-way zipper.

I bought this jacket a month ago and have had a chance to thoroughly try it out. It's great in almost every way, but has a few flaws so significant I'm hesitant to recommend it. Here goes:
Strengths:
-Synthetic insulation: perfect for most Vancouver late fall/winter days. Can get somewhat warm when walking vigorously, and not quite warm enough for the coldest West Coast days, but most often just right. Add a scarf and you're good to go.
-Outer material: soft, breathable and waterproof. I returned the Camosun because it was too stiff and crinkly. The Radsten is just right.
-Length: covers the upper thigh from rain and increases warmth.
Weaknesses:
-No two-way zipper: This is baffling to me, and a no-brainer - add a bottom two-way zipper! It's a long jacket, so when you sit you have to pull the jacket up and have to sit directly on a cold surface. Either that or try to sit on the jacket and have it bunch up and be generally uncomfortable. This is a deal breaker for me.
-Extra material around the midsection: I've always appreciated Arc'teryx's 'athletic' fit. I'm a climber and have larger lats/shoulders and a smaller waist, and most Arc'teryx clothes fit perfectly. However, this jacket doesn't seem built for a climber/athlete but rather a more 'average' body shape. There is a lot of extra material around the midsection, and the jacket feels baggy and frumpy here. I wish it were more of a trim, athletic cut.
Overall, I want to love this jacket as it has so much going for it. However, because the few flaws are so significant I can't recommend it at full price. So close!

A very comfortable jacket with a warm hood. I really like the length and most of the material is up to the usual Arcteryx standards. It is very good for urban winters and is remarkably light.
I do have two complaints. The first is that the flap behind the zipper has been made so narrow that wind makes it into the jacket. The second is that the jacket is fairly loose through the body, so can let cool air in. An internal cinch around the waist would be nice to keep the cold air out.

I've had this jacket for a little over a month now and have worn it (almost) every day. This has led me to the opinions and conclusions below. Firstly, I am a slender 5' 9", 151 lbs with 39.5" chest, 30.0" waist, 36.0" hips and broad/squared shoulders. I ordered a Medium, which was enormous on me in every dimension, and a Small, which fits almost perfectly for a slim look but leaves only enough room for a t-shirt (maybe) a thin mid-layer; the mid-layer is necessary as noted in the "Cons" section later. I also ordered in the Black Heather colour, this is more of a dark/heather grey than it is black, but it is a great, neutral option for dressing up or down.
Pros:
1. It looks absolutely amazing. I love the silhouette, clean lines and nearly invisible/non-existent branding (which alone basically sold me on this jacket because I hate paying to be a walking billboard/advertisement).
2. It is perfectly wind and waterproof. I've been caught in a heavy downpour for 25 minutes and stayed totally dry. I've also been out in cold, 70 kph sustained winds and the coat was impenetrable.
3. The inner collar they've added/created is great for protecting your neck/back from breezes that would normally find their way in and create a chill; maybe the best feature of this coat.
4. The hood is insulated. This is great for short periods outside when you don't want to put on a touque.
Cons:
1. The insulation, to this point, does not seem like it will meet the needs of a cold, Canadian winter. Even in temperatures of -5 C I've noticed the cold. Unless you're on the move you will need a mid-layer of some sort.
2. The inner sleeve cuffs make it impossible to wear gloves/mitts because there is no stretch and they in no way leave enough room for a glove's cuff to be tucked into the sleeve; this is basically unacceptable for a parka and I noticed too late.
3. The hand warmer pockets are very difficult to zip/unzip because of the angle and the storm flap being in the way. The storm flaps should also have magnets to hold them down/closed.
4. The length of the coat makes it very uncomfortable to wear closed when driving or sitting for a commute. You will likely need to wear it open when in any position other than standing; the price of the amazing aesthetic/lines.
5. The hood is poorly shaped. As an urban coat it does not need room for a helmet. They should have narrowed it and extended the peak for a slimmer fit with better visibility and coverage in inclement weather.
6. This isn't a big one, but the internal hood pulls can be bothersome as they can rub against your neck. They keep a very clean exterior look, but a redesign should be considered for wearing comfort.
Ultimately, I have kept this parka and will continue to use it as my daily coat this winter. That said, when considering the price and the "cons" listed above I don't know that I would purchase the Radsten Parka again or recommend it unless, like me, you're willing to take the good with the bad for the technical attributes and style. Even with that said, there are definitely things that should, and need to be redesigned for the next iteration.

Bought this last week and was disappointed in the fit. Will see how easy/hard it is to return. Surprised to learn customer service hours are limited this time of year.

I bought this jacket 4 days ago for casual use. Nice jacket, but the hood is way too big (even when it is only for around town use) and cannot be adjusted properly such that its hood swivels with the head. This to me is one of the most important features which have to be right. I will return the jacket to the store unfortunately, otherwise the jacket is fit for purpose.
