Arcteryx has changes the design. Now the thumb is too long. Could not return them, as they were a replacement.

Bought this around a year ago and used it for a bit more than 2 seasons. I got holes in the seams at places and the thin polyurethane tips have almost completely worn off. However the leather in the palm is still mint. Glove fits very small so I would go ahead and size up if you aren't able to try them on in store. Gloves are warm for their weight and the polartec fabric really helps in shedding snow and keeping warm while wet. I would recommend if they could have leather finger tips as im thinking of dipping my gloves in some conductive rubber. Don't expect these gloves to last a long time, but if they fit right and your a bit careful they'll take care of you until their torn

Despite the many reviews stating that the Rivet glove suffers from quality issues, I went ahead and purchased a pair of gloves to be used a liner gloves together with the Fission SV gloves for alpine skiing. So I bought the gloves two weeks ago and off I went to Sweden for som winter skiing, but after just one week the stitches in the cuff came apart on the right glove (see image). It should be mentioned that the design of the cuff is quite tight and unelastic, probably to make sure the gloves don't come off when in use. It however makes it quite difficult to pull on the gloves, which I suspect caused the stichting to come apart after only a few days of normal use. I strongly urge Arc'teryx to redesign the glove with this issue in mind and either add a velcro strap or manufacture the cuff in a more durable and elastic material, for instance neoprene. Otherwise it is a really versatile and great glove, that can be used both as a line and on its own. If Arc'teryx manages to resolve the quality issues with the cuff I will be sure to recommend the glove.

I've just received these gloves as a replacement for my Gothic Gloves which fell apart at the seams. When I agreed to these I must admit I was concerned about the reviews that has already been posted. They are a good glove, the fit is excellent & the quality is what I would expect, however... in my opinion there is a manufacturing fault. The thread used on the binding at the cuff is rigid & it should have been a stretch thread. The result is not enough stretch when I try to get my hand into the glove & once my hand is in the glove it is slightly unforgiving / uncomfortable on the wrist when worn. Since the thread doesn't stretch it will crack quickly & then the thread will come undone & the binding will simply come away. I'm going to give them a go but I'm certain they will be returned after a few wears. Real shame & I must admit I'm amazed that this has gone through a product development process & QC without this being spotted.

I bought these gloves for commuting in -5 to 10 celcius weather. They are perfect for this activity and the possibility to use a smartphone with the gloves on is a big plus! I suspect the durability won't be good, especially considering the price. I have worn them for about 20 times and the hole where the hand is inserted in, starts to feel like it's going to break. It has made a snapping sound like a seam would have given up couple times already, though no visible damage yet. I think this problem comes from the fact that this hole is incredibly tight and does not have any stretch in it. I'd be cautious in buying this product if you have large hands. I tried 2 different sizes and I felt that the hole was the same size in both. I would only recommend this product to a very light activity, like commuting in a city. I doubt the gloves would stay intact in more demanding outdoor activities.

This glove has amazing potential, never had a glove that provided any real warmth and retained this level of feel and dexterity. As others have said, the durability is unacceptable. The wrist cuff stitching snapped on mine on the second use, on both gloves. I've kept using them but had to make repairs to keep them in service. 3 stars because I want the durability issue to be fixed, these could be awesome gloves.

This is tricky. The glove is amazing in regards of fit and functionality - I use them as my everyday gloves riding my bicycle to and from work in Copenhagen, which can be cold and wet in winter. Five stars here. But the quality is poor. I'm now on my third pair in as many years, and its the same every time - they fall apart quickly. So zero stars for that. For any other brand that wouldn't necessarily be a huge problem, but Arcteryx is all about premium quality, and to my mind you need to up the quality on this particular product. But hey - if Im stupid enough to buy three pairs in a row, I guess there is a businesscase going on.

Fits perfectly when on, but a colossal pain to take on and off due to no elasticity in the wrist. It fits fine once it is on, but it would have been perfect with just a bit of elasticity. Would expect a better product for a brand like Arc'teryx

These gloves are for the most part great, the cuff however is sewn too tight for any normal persons wrist, XL glove fights great on me but only a few weeks in the seem on the cuff started the tear. A few months later it has come off completely.

Bought my first pair last fall. In about a week or so the hem stitching were ripped. So I went to the store and got them replaced. No problem. So another week passed with the new pair and again, some stitching were ripped again, this time from the fingers. So got them replaced again. And yet again they were ripped - without any excessive wear, I used them normally, in an urban environment. Now I'm using my 3rd pair, they got ripped pretty quick also, but I got tired running to the store - so now I just use them around the yard or keep them in my car when I have to stop for pumping gas etc. I would not recommend this product.

Received these gloves a couple days ago and I have to say I'm a little disappointed. First of all, I will say the warmth and comfort once they're on is excellent and they look great. I used the size chart and the gloves fit me in finger length and palm circumference perfectly. The problem is the wrist opening. It is way too small with a stitched cuff that does not stretch to allow your hand to enter the glove. The result is popped stitches and inevitable tearing of the material that only worsens with each on/off. I love Arcteryx products and will continue use them, but the Rivet Gloves are gonna be a "no" from me.

I warrantied my first pair of these gloves after the stitching fell apart in multiple places. (Props to Arc'teryx for having lightning-quick customer service.) That said, after six weeks of moderate use, the leather on the gloves' thumb and index fingers is already peeling. The Rivet could be a dependable cool-weather glove-slash-cold-weather liner, but the manufacturing quality is just lacking.

My experience is much like everyone else that has left a review. I really want to give them a better rating because they fit well, they're nice and warm for a light weight glove and I really like them but they fall apart! I am now on my 3rd pair (warranty replacements) and on one glove the, the cuff ripped off this morning. (These are only a few months old). I'm very careful putting these on and taking off as my last 2 pairs ripped at seems along the thumb and palm. So I've been extra careful with this pair. I just took them off and my right hand cuff is hanging off! Not good. Which is a real shame. I dont think the cuff has elastic, which makes it hard to get on and off. Maybe they should have a new design with elastic to make it easier. Could solve these problems we are all having. I own so many different Arc jackets and they are the best jackets I've ever bought and worn, very unfortunate that these gloves dont live up to the very high quality of the jackets. Guess I'll have to head back to the store and get another replacement, wish I didnt have to!! I cant be bothered lol

All my gear is Arcteryx and this is the first product which I was surprised to see its not holding up. Ive used these gloves only 4-5 times and there is already fabric coming apart from the seams. Great design / product, to bad the quality was not better!

The use of inelastic bonded thread in a straight seam to attach the binding tape at the cuff is an absolute show stopper on these - getting each glove on is somewhere between difficult and uncomfortable, and if you've got scuffed up knuckles it will tear them open every time. The use of such a seam in combination with the very stretchable fabrics and close-fit design is absolutely incomprehensible. The thread either needs to be elastic, or if keeping the present bonded thread done in a wide zig-zag. This is easy to do for those with the skill and the machine; but is out of the reach for most. For those possessing such, I recommend running the widest zig-zag that you can without the needle going off-tape, and anchor it all with a tack at the beginning and end to either side of the hanging loop. Then, use a seamripper and strip out the thread from the original straight seam.

I purchased these gloves for X-country skiing and winter exercise. The stitching on two of the fingers ripped after 3-4 uses, the leather pad on the thumb is hanging on by only a few threads and the wrist elastic has ripped out on both gloves after approximately 10 uses. I'm pretty disappointed with the quality of these gloves, given the otherwise high quality products produced by Arc'teryx. I have made the necessary repairs to keep them from the trash (voiding all warranties in the process no doubt) but I will NOT purchase these again.

Hey, I love all my Arcteryx stuff. But if find the Rivet gloves sub par. From a twig that went through the fabric to the wrist piping coming off. I just expected more. If they where just a bit more durable they hands down would be my favourite lite glove.

I wish I could say that these gloves met my expectations. These gloves fit amazing, I have fairly large hands so I decided to go for a large. The fleece liner is very warm and makes your hands feel cozy. Over all length of the glove is nice touch. I do a lot of hiking, camping, and backpacking trips. I use the gloves to move logs, rocks, set up camp. Therefore I tend to take the gloves off and put them on frequently, after one trip in the woods, the stitching on the lower palm came undone completely. The gloves held up alright against wear and tear towards rocks and logs, but I could imagine from what iv'e read from others; that they would start to fall apart further after constant use.
