The giant white logo and name on both the front and back is too much. Feels like I'm wearing a billboard advertisement.

I owned a very similar Northface to this one for 15 years and I just donated it last winter! I'm so glad I made this purchase, you have no idea!
I love to read all the comments and then do a little research of my own.
SIZE- I visited the Northface store and asked about this coat, they did not sell it in the store but the employee said a few people who bought it online, did an in-store return due to the sizing. He said to SIZE DOWN and he was right! I chose to go with his advice and get a Medium instead of a Large and it fits perfectly! This is NOT a form fitting/ flattering coat at all! It is boxy and YES, you will look boxy lol but if you are going for practicality, warmth and most importantly length, then this coat is what you want! (If you are looking for a more silhouette appeal, the Metrapolis Parka is the go to - I tried this on in the store-not as long and runs small! Size up, especially if you are busty and curvy)
LENGTH- I'm 5'3 and I was hesitant to buy this because the model on the website is said to be 5'10 and the coat touches her calf's. Well, it touches my calf's too so all good!
Just GET IT! You can always return it if you don't enjoy it, but it's exactly what you need for those upstate NY winters shoveling snow and those brick NYC walks from Port Authority to work! K bye!

I am a California girl that was traveling to the East coast and wanted to be prepared for the below 40 degree weather and rain. This jacket was perfect since it provides great coverage down through the legs! I wore this almost daily and it has kept me warm. On rainy days it also kept my pants dry which is amazing. The only issues with this jacket is when you squat down the zipper will split but easily fixed. Also trying to get into a car can be kind of a challenge! These two issues don't prevent me from providing 5/5 stars on this jacket though and i love the deep pockets and hidden pocket inside the jacket. I got quite a few compliments on this as well - which is always fun to receive!

I have had this coat for 15 years and hands down my most frequently worn down coat. Too heavy for warmer days, and probably not warm enough for very cold days (less than 10F) but absolutely perfect for everything in between.

Typical coat size is a medium but my daughter laughed and said I looked like I was wearing a sleeping bag. I think I'd LOVE it in the right size ( Small) but when I went to reorder the Hawthorne Khaki it was out of stock. ALREADY? I've waited a decade to replace my current winter coat, finally found a great contender and the khaki color is out in all sizes? I'm just sad. Sad :(

This coat is roomy, I sized down one size but probably could have sized down another. I'm a slightly disappointed because this coat is not very warm for mid 20's and below. I spend about an hour walking my dog outside everyday. I was hoping for a jacket that I could throw on to keep me warm while walking but I can feel the cold seep in through the top of the shoulders and the arms. This jacket is very light weight and comfortable but seems to be almost more like a mid layer vs a stand alone jacket. It's seems over priced for a coat that needs a second jacket under it to be warm enough.

This jacket is really that girl! I've been traveling a lot lately for work and this jacket has reigned victorious over Washington DC's, Milwaukee WI, and NCs recent snow storms and low temps. I would say that's battle tested

I love this jacket. The color is beautiful and it feels light while keeping me warm on even the coldest Chicago days. I agree with previous reviews that it runs roomy. I'm a solid medium and bought a size small and it fits perfectly with some room in it still. Not form fitting. I would highly recommend for those wanting to keep their legs warm, too.

love it! I can be outdoors walking now instead of on a treadmill! great windblocker, I still bundle up under the coat for our Michigan winters

I'm obsessed with this jacket. It's the perfect length for me. I'm 5'2" and it goes down to just below mid calf on me. I got a size small and am normally a medium in north face jackets. It's oversized and honestly feels like I'm wearing a sleeping bag around outside (in a good way!) so warm and cozy. Protects me from the wind and isn't too heavy of a jacket while still being very warm.

I purchased this coat for winter early morning walks in Lower Michigan, early in the am it can get really windy, and COLD, so I wanted something that covered my legs well and blocked the wind so I wasn't freezing. This coat fits my needs perfectly. I could walk for 2-3 hours and stay warm enough. I layer the coat for extra warmth as it is rated a 2 out of 3, wind is a 3 out of 3. I love it!

Very disappointed with TNF sizing chart for this parka. Ordered this for my wife as a gift, took her measurements and selected M as per TNF measurement chart. Received it and it was way too baggy, fit like an XL on her. Returned. Didn't even bother trying to guess if we should get a S or XS, how can we be sure? Not worth the wait or effort.

Nice and warm! I brought this coat for my mother and it keeps her warm and toasting! Wish it had a belt to it like the Nupta Parka but even still it does the job!

Needed a new coat after my trusty winter coat of 10 years broke. I wanted one that was long to cover my legs and this one fit the bill. This coat is essentially a sleeping bag, which is a good thing! Very warm, almost too warm. Can only wear in 20 degrees and below weather because it keeps you hot!

This parka is amazing! I bought it for my first winter living on the east coast to attend university, and it has served me well so far! It feels like wearing a sleeping bag just a flattering and refined sleeping bag. I'm 5'8" and 130 lbs, and I bought it in Black size M. It's big on me, but that's the way I like it!

I just purchased this product in a Small but it runs too big, I am 5'4 and I'm quite slim. I thought Small would fit if I was layering, but even with the layers I am swimming in the material. I want to exchange it for XS but there's no more stock. I wish North Face would provide a restock so that I can exchange the jacket.

This became my commuting coat this winter. I was VERY happy with it. Nice and toasty even on windy days when walking to my car in just a base layer. Hood has great adjustments to make it fit just right. Wish there were more or bigger pockets. Not a big deal. They are big enough for my hands on a cold day. Overall I love it!!

Long, warm...it runs a little big... the sleeves could be a smidgen longer. Otherwise, super happy!

Love the weight and length of this jacket for when it's really cold out - it's like a down blanket. I wear it to walk my dog in the mornings. Be aware it runs large, so size down.

I wear this coat EVERY DAY! I had my old Northface parka for 10 years and I finally had to purchase a new one. Incredibly comfortable, LOVE how long it is (I'm also only 5'1"), and the warmth of this coat. A couple of years ago, I purchased a different brand to have as a back up.... it did NOT measure up to the Northface. Worth EVERY dollar!

I use this jacket almost everyday. I love how big it is almost down to my feet which keeps me very warm and it's my new fav to wear every time in winter :) I recommend if your legs get cold a lot
