I bought these shoes for snowy trail walks and snowshoeing - they have not disappointed. Impressed with the comfort and warmth

I wanted to like this boot. I have another pair of Solomon shoes that I love for summer/ early fall trail hiking. I was looking for a winter hiking boot. These are rather loose in the forefoot, not in length, just a lot of room otherwise. The footbed itself is rock hard, I've now hiked a total of about 6 miles in them over rough terrain, and it has not softened. My biggest issue with these boots however, is with the ankle portion. The design is not made for either support or to keep your ankle dry. It gapes at the top, and the tongue hangs way out over the boot. Today, I hiked in barely half an inch of snow and my ankles became cold and wet quickly. If this were the sole issue, I would probably keep them and wear gaiters, however the multiple compounding issues are making these shoes a no win situation.

I am so happy to have a pair of true winter hiking boots! They kept my feet super warm on the trail and I'm ecstatic about their look- will definitely wear them on and off the trail this winter. They are roomy, if you like a snug fit, go a half size down. I need a wide toe-box, so they're true to what I need. Soft ankle support, mostly for warmth. Grips are solid on the bottom, I ran down an icy/snowy trail without issue. I will still want traction devices for more slick conditions. Super cute color! The overall look of the shoe plus the warmth makes this my new favorite winter shoe!

I bought these before my recent trip to Winter Park, Colorado, as I knew I'd be hiking a lot and wanted something waterproof and insulated. After putting 20+ miles on these that weekend, hiking through snow and climbing more than 2,000 ft in elevation, I am 100% obsessed with them. My feet were totally dry the entire time and never got cold. I absolutely love these. I ordered my normal shoe size and it's the perfect fit for wearing thick or wool socks. These are literally lighter than tennis shoes and SO comfortable.

Buty s cieplutkie i baaaardzo wygodne.

I love the look and color of the boots. My only complaint is I feel they need one more eyelet as the laces are long but not long enough to wrap around the boot if I wanted to do that also the tongue is an odd shape so another eyelet would have helped keep it close to my leg .Great for MN weather. Great grips for icy paths.

I wear an 8 in street shoes and sometimes an 8.5 in sneakers. Size 8 fit well. I usually wear Merrell boots because I like a wide toe box and they fit my narrow heels. These are a little wide on me, especially in the heel. But I was able to add a small insert under the removable insole and that helps. My heel does slip up and down a bit but it hasn't given me blisters. In addition to narrow heels, I have skinny feet so the extra insert takes up a enough of the excess volume. The material is nice and soft, and they seem warm. I haven't tested them in snow yet. I like the fact that the tongue is soft and extra long. The shoelaces, however, are way too long, and I finally just decided to wrap them around my ankle, which helps with the heel slip. Overall they are good looking, not too heavy or clunky, and very comfortable, with no break in needed.

Not as warm as I was hoping for and are quite slippery on icy surfaces. Yes this boot is waterproof.

Bought these shoes as Christmas present for my wife. She wore it twice in past 10 days in light rain / snow for the casual walk by the lake shore (let alone any serious mountain hiking...we live in Toronto) and her feet were completely soaked wet. Shoe liner , and insole were completely wet. Why these are being advertised as "waterproof" as this is the feature these shoes are clearly lacking. Just for the record, between 3 of us (wife, son and I) we have other 10 pairs of Salomon shoes that we love - sense ride, acro chukka, etc...)

I bought these last month and was excited for them to arrive. Unfortunately they are far too wide and high volume for me. After wearing them around my house I thought it would be okay with a thick sock, however I was extremely disappointed and miserable when I took them out on a lightly snowy 4 mile hike (more like a walk as it is not at all technical). Mid-way through, my ankles were incredibly sore and I felt extremely unstable on the trail. I tried tightening the laces again and again but that only resulted in them cutting into my ankles through the soft upper. Now I have an expensive pair of shoes that I can't wear.

On one of the wettest Ontario February day, my feet stayed dry!! After a 3 hour venture in slushy wet snow from a late day rain yesterday the correct footwear is everything. These boots were a last minute decision but what a wonderful surprise. I had only warn these as my daily footwear not for my job. As a part time letter carrier I was happy I had them on hand today and will definitely be using them again. I would definitely like to try out more Salomon has to offer!!

I bought these primarily for winter mountain biking in the Southeast. They are great! The sole is plenty stiff enough for pedaling flats, and with a pair of Woolie Boolie socks, my feet would swear its springtime! Plus, they're super comfortable and grippy when hiking my bike through slippery sections of trails.

Was skeptical when choosing this boot as I feared it would be more of a "fashion- after ski" boot, but WOW was I surprised! This boot manages to be completely waterproof, very lightweight, warm in the single digit to 30-degree range, and has a slim enough profile to be comfortable while driving. The laces are way too long and caused one face-plant when an ice cleat caught on them, but new variable thickness laces cured that problem. These boots have become my go to daily wear on the job. I use them patrolling ice packed and snow covered trails and they smoothly function with snowshoes and ice cleats with just enough support for a stable feel. I happily recommend them in most moderate winter conditions.

These boots have been my go to adventure and leisure boots for this winter! I have two kids and I use them to go on all of our outtings. They keep your feet warm but not too warm on long hikes and sled sessions! The bottom is durable and has a great toe box to use in tandem with yaktraks when things are really icy! I am a standard nine and love the fit, with plenty of room for my smart-wool socks. I would recommend these for a everyone's winter boot!

Wasn't sure how warm these would be considering the lightweight construction, but my toes have not been cold yet.

I was looking for a warm, winter mid high hiking boot and this is perfect. The laces are oddly long, but easy fix. Traction is good (nothing is good on ice without spikes of course! Great purchase!

I got myself these for Christmas and they've been my go to. Love them! If it's icy, use crampons. The grip is pretty good and they are comfortable. Roomy for a thick sock (they are a winter boot after all). First few times wearing I found the lace up / tongue area a little uncomfortable but is resolved after a few wears.

I bought these about a month ago as my winter hikers. They are nice and warm , but not as grippy as I expected. If you need a wide toe box, this is your shoe. I ended up putting an insole in mine. I also found that they do up kind of funny around the ankle. I love this brand as a rule, but these are not my favorite, but not the worst.

Last year when I was in France October 2020 I bought these Yaya boots. I loved them and wore them immediately but soon I realised every time I take a long walk they give me a bad back. This year again I put that theory to the test and sure enough they give me a back pain every time. I think it is the very hard heals. Having spent a lot of money on them I'm really annoyed that I have only worn them perhaps in total 20 times and have to buy a new pair and now I don't trust Salomon heals, I keep thinking they may be the same. Admittedly I'm not young and have problems with my back but there was nothing to warn me off in the product.

These were comfortable right out of the box and they do seem warm and waterproof (light walking/hiking through snow), but within a week of wear, one of the metal shoelace hooks at the top snapped in half, so I can't lace them up all the way and snow will now enter the boot. Pretty disappointed with the quality of this boot and hope they improve it in the future.
