I got these a month or so ago. A little stiff out of the box but give it some time to break them in. I have a few pairs of shoes for running but these have been my go to pair this winter. I've taken up running again this winter and it's been particularly cold and snowy up here in Alaska. The soles are knobby enough to deal with plowed streets, which are basically ice rinks afterward. They also handle very well off-road too. Deep snow, not so much, but then again nothing is really great for running in that stuff! Love these shoes!

These Salomon shoes have been my first pair and I bought as a recommendation to some hiking/trail shoes. Used them for the first time without breaking them and they where awesome. My feet where comfortable the whole hike (5hrs). There was rain and a lot of mud and my feet never got wet. It also started to snow and I never felt a slip with these shoes. I would 100% recommend. I will continue buying Salomon shoes in the future.

I love this shoe. It's so comfortable. The grip in insane. I feel very confident with every step. It's light, breatable, and I love the soft yet firm top. It's truly waterproof, I've quickly stepped in streams completely submerging my foot and I was dry.
The only thing I wish was improved on this design was the toe. The fabric on the toe quickly gets worn out. My pair developed a hole where the rubber meets the fabric within the first month. I put some tape on it and it's been fine since but it's definitely a week point. Besides that this shoe is perfect.
I"m going to try the Speedcross 5 next as it looks like the toe is a little more protected.

This is the second pair of Salomon shoes I've owned, and the versatility of this pair has surpassed my expectations. I have used them for 10+ km urban walks, hikes over rough terrain, and running on everything from asphalt to rugged trails, and they seem to stand up well in all conditions. They are light, supportive, and the goretex gives you peace of mind that regardless of the conditions, you won't have to worry about wet feet. I will be wearing Solomon shoes as long as they continue to make them.

This brand does seem to be narrower than the average, but still incredibly comfortable.

I Love the Waterproof and traction features. Weird fit in the heel as opposed to previous similar model "cross gtx" shoes Be sure to try them on before you purchase.

Bought these 3 months ago and I love the shoe, but they've worn through so quickly I'm left feeling disappointed. The shoe itself is really comfortable and has a good level of cushioning, but the upper has worn through where the fabric meets the reinforced section. This is on both shoes and on both sides of each shoe, so I don't think it's due to catching a rogue stone or something.

I bought this about a month plus ago. The tread on the heel has already worn away, which indicates the durability of the sole results in a very short performance life.

right and left shoe seams split/ripped after only 80 miles of trail running.
Very poor quality fabric on the upper and seams.
After running 2 marathons and a handful of halves, these shoes are not up to the test for any beginner trail runner.
