Picked up these since I was in need of. New road shoe and really happy I did. Upper is soft and feels great. Cushion is just the right amount and has a nice responsive feel to it. I don't log that many miles on the pavement but when I do it will be in these!

I've not gotten more than 5 runs on them but they're pretty awesome so far. Very comfortable light weight and typical Salomonno break-in required for me again.

I've been using the XA PRO model for running for about 10 years on trails and mixed terrain. The XA PRO is generally a really good fit for me but it's not really designed for road running which I've been doing more of lately. I therefore decided to buy the Predict 2 model. When I put on the shoe I immediately felt how flexible yet stable they feel - very light and comfortable! I was really impressed by that.
The wider shoe fit is also great addition for me and my feet don't feel as cramped as before. I highly recommend the Predict 2 for anyone looking for a shoe for road running.

Going onto 100 miles with these Predict 2's. Great addition to my training lineup. I use them 2-3 times a week for mid-long runs. It offer the perfect amount of cushion for longer runs. The insoles are sock-like, and the uppers are flexible, providing both comfort and durability. What I like most is its material, these shoes are breathable, allowing for my feet to stay cool, even towards the end of my longer runs. I'd recommend this as a great training shoe.

I have been wearing the Salomon Predict 2 shoes now for about two weeks on and off. Salomon shoes have always been in my rotation both from a hiking and running perspective. I also currently do wear a pair of Salomon Predict SOC shoes. This new Predict 2 is a great version. I really like the color and comfort for day to day wear. They fit true to size, have a roomy toe box, and a great insole. I find these shoes to be perfect for travel. They will allow me to bring one less pair of running shoes in my luggage. The Salomon Predict 2 performs well as a daily shoe and a light runner and overall gym fitness shoe. I look forward to many month of wear in these.
I'd also recommend:

I have about 75 miles in these and they've gotten better with time. My first impression was that they didn't have much cushion and were stiff but now I really like they way they feel. The wider toe box is really nice after running in a more narrow shoe. I'm most impressed with how the shoe feels around my ankles. It's not tight but there's plenty of support, it's almost like you don't feel the shoe but you know it's there supporting you.
With more miles I don't notice a lack of cushion, but it's not like some of the other running shoes out there that feel like you're walking on pillows.

I've put about 100 miles in these so far and really like them (including a few 16+ milers). I've run through multiple pairs of the original predict and the predict soc and I like these the most. Agree with other reviewers that they aren't as soft or forgiving as the other predicts, especially through the midfoot/forefoot area, but I really like them for that. I, like another reviewer, tend to use them for faster/medium pace runs and not recovery because of the cushioning. Would definitely recommend, especially if you're a midfoot/forefoot striker

I have worn many pairs of Salomon shoes over the years and the Predict2 model ranks up there with my favorite pairs. They are really comfortable right out of the box, have great support, are super light weight, and breathe really well.
I'd also recommend:

White is not a color that I purchase but these are stylish.
Ortholite support - the best support in shoes, I have four pairs of assorted Salamon shoes which I use for hiking, walking and Pickleball. They provide the comfort, rigidity, and support required for multiple activities. The best support of any shoe I have worn, I am 73 and I have worn many shoes throughout the years for all types of outdoor and indoor activities and the Salamon brands are incomparable.
Other Salamon brands I highly recommend are:
Salamon X Ultra -Contagrip, water resistant! superb hiking shoe. I have the green and black striped models!

I've had these for around 2 months now, and I love them for a do it all shoe. I had never tried them on before and thought they would be something like an Ultra Boost, but to my surprise, there is so much more front end feel.
It's not as snappy as some other shoes that I've run in, but there is definitely a snap when you need it. Personally, I feel like this shoe shines in a moderate too fast pace, not something I would do a recovery run in.
The toe box is a lot more roomy than expected, again surprising, but in a great way.
Really the only two things that kinda bother me is the cleaning, because of the material, I find it a bit hard to clean. The bigger issue is the the insoles are so flimsy, I switched them out immediately to some Superfeet Carbons that I have laying around.
Overall I highly highly recommend

Gone through 2 pairs of the original Predicts, which were good for base miles on road but I found them hard to run fast with.
Predict 2 shed some weight and you can easily use these for all road running needs, base, speed work, and races.
Fit is great, no blister issues, right out of the box they felt great.

Bought about 45 days ago. Have some good miles in them now and really enjoy how they've opened up. Definitely more responsive than cushioned, which is what I enjoy. A little "big" feeling at times. Not in for, just in overall size, but far less so than their predecessor

Have had good running results with this shoe although I have issues with colour bleed into foam sole that is being currently assessed by your quality department. Apart from this I'm highly satisfied with this shoe.

I have to say that this is my first pair of predict2 and Salomon has done a great job. The fit and finish are what you would expect from a brand like them, no complaints there what so ever. The sizing seems a little wide in the toe box but that was actually a welcome change that I hadn’t expected from a shoe that had a sock upper. That brings up another point on the upper it is snug but not too tight like some can be.
The heel is just the right hight and cradles your ankle and it feels secure on road and on the trail, even if this is not a trail specific shoe.
That being said let's move to the critical part, the sole. It is in the softer side, but still has quite a bit of spring in it. I wouldn’t use this shoe for speed work but more for mid to long runs as the sole is quite forgiving on your joints and comfortable on the longer runs. But yes I would recommend this shoe for someone who has to cross several types of terrain it would be more than sufficient and comfortable.
One more plus (for me anyway) is that finally this is a new shoe with a “normal” more traditional lace pattern so that I can affix my foot pod without having to worry about it like some of the newer shoes with odd lace patterns, a small detail but if you run with a power meter this is a plus! All in all I would recommend this shoe for someone who runs 3-5 times a week mid to long runs.

These shoes provide quite pleasant ride, but the upper and the outsole could use some improvements. Upper material is nice and high quality, but in my opinion the forefoot area and the volume itself is somewhat constricting for my slightly wider than average feet (so I have a bit of sore spots on top of my right foot after longer 20+km runs). Outsole has a decent grip for road surfaces, but durability is somewhat questionable, at least here in Finland where atm there are plenty of small granite pebbles still spread around for the additional grip - I see lots of wear on lateral forefoot/midfoot areas. Also as a small suggestion, a bit of rockered curve would be nice to have at the forefoot area, since this midsole material is less flexible than the one that was used in the previous version.

Tried these running shoes, but really disappointed in the performance due to the hardness of the midsole. I was expecting a better feeling but it felt hard and with very little comfort. Maybe down to the insole but overall there is a need to drop the hardness of the midsole slightly, maybe 5 Asker C

I am mostly a trail runner and love the s/lab ultra 3s. I ran my first 50 miler this year without a single blister. I wasn't blessed with the best biomechanics and I need a wide toe box to fit my bunions. I bought the Predict 2 for a road relay and for track workouts. They feel pretty good and light for short runs but running a 26 km race gave me two big nasty blisters on the edge of my big toe. The toe box feels generous but I find that there is a problem spot where the insole meets the side of the shoe. These shoes might be great for most people, but if you have bunions and were drawn to these shoes because they are described as having a generous width, I would make sure that you try them on for yourself and pay attention to how the edges of the insole feels for you.

This shoe has so many good qualities and I want to love it. However, for me, I have a narrow foot and the toe box area feels a bit sloppy and slappy. This is obviously a personal issue, but I can't seem to get the fit dialed in.
I also feel this shoe is best suited for mid pace efforts. Not speed work or racing, but also not basic endurance days either.
I think the best thing about the shoe is its durability... I have put about 80 miles on the shoe and it still looks brand new and it still rides the same. I do wish it would have softened up a bit, but it is doing exactly what it was created to do.
For some people this shoe may be the golden ticket... for me and my foot it just barely missed.

I bought these for my son and they didn't last 2 weeks before ripping at the toe. Salomon did not stand behind the product either.
