These are very comfortable, both a soft fabric and the pull on waist. I think these would work best on someone with a relatively straight figure. I have very curvy hips (30" waist, 40" hips) and these just don't work for me. (I ordered size M.) The pockets gape and they just don't fit right. The rise is lower than I prefer. The legs are straight cut or even a very slight flare, and they have a drawstring at the ankle. The color "light storm" appears like a pretty light blue online, but in person it's more of a granite color with a teal undertone. There is one zip pocket on the thigh that just fits my iphone X... a bigger phone like a "plus" or "max" size would not fit. I ordered the long inseam, and they are a little over 34" long in the size M.

These pants are comfortable, but unfortunately they are definitely NOT made for the long-waisted gal. They seem very low-rise.

Wanted to love these but they are too low waist for me (I don't like the look, seems dated). If you just want comfort and you like a lowish medium rise, you'll love them. It's overall a nice design with great pockets, though they gaped a bit on me. I was hoping for something that was comfortable, functional, and wearable for in a range of places, hiking to brunch. Sadly these are going back.

The quality of these pants has declined lately. The front pockets are way too small to be useful and made of a mesh material that makes you hot on warm days. Please bring back the older design

The "warm ash" color looks like mud in person. A little too low-cut in the front. Otherwise very comfortable hiking pants.

I have several pairs of these pants and in general they are my favorite hiking pants because of the fabric (nice & cool) and the fact that they come in long. My only complaint (until now) had been I wish the waistband elastic was snugger or that they had a drawstring (like the NF Aphrodite).
I had seen the complaints about the front pockets but had never had an issue with them, and I'm pretty adamant about only buying pants with roomy pockets. Well, I have lost some weight and so decided to get a pair in Medium and now I understand. They just arrived and the pockets are way too small! I pulled out my size Large version and the pockets are the same shape/profile, but much bigger! What the heck!? I guess larger women have larger phones...???
So for people thinking of buying these pants, if you are at least a size L, the pockets are fine (at least they were a ~year ago when I bought my last pair of Ls). If you are an M or smaller, maybe not so much. Mystery solved - but come on people, give us the roomy pockets!

I have had some version of these pants since 2018, and I love them so much I have a pair for every day of the week! High quality, comfortable, durable fabric. I regularly wear them to work (bicycle commute), for travel, rock climbing, and I even wore them skiing once. That being said, this model has received some updates that I'm generally NOT a fan of. Specifically: the MESH front pockets are not soft, and look weird when they peek out of the trouser style pocket, very unprofessional, not to mention they are smaller compared to previous front pockets. The WAISTBAND is now plain and flat without the cute gathering at the sides so it doesn't lay as flat on my tummy as the older version did. The LABEL is now a big obnoxious thing on the back so I will probably take a seam ripper to it. The BACK POCKETS got demoted to just one and it's got that funky flap like the ankle pants. The ANKLE CINCH is actually more effective, it's now great for cycling, which would be great except the elastic is uncomfortable if you happen to step on it (which is anytime I am barefoot, I'm only 5'2"). The only actual improvement to the pants is the side cargo pocket (like the ankle pants), except it has the mesh too. So Mountain Hardwear, if you're listening, I'd recommend you take the mesh away, add a flat elastic at the ankle, and cut back on the butt logo size. These are great pants but you can make them better!!!

Love these pants. So comfy. Very light weight. Bought them to work at the golf course on hot days where I’m an assistant greens keeper. I’ve already ordered a couple more in different colors. They’re nice enough to dress up and comfy enough to work in too. I’m 5’7”, not very curvy, long in the leg short in the torso. The medium regular fits me perfectly.

I recently wore these pants for traveling, and really loved them. They're extremely comfortable, wrinkle resistant and have enough pockets to carry what you need. I am 5 6 and about 130 to 135 lb and I wear a size medium. They fit- flattering, but not too tight. They're easy to wash, easy to pack and definitely easy to wear!

I am a big fan of the Dynama pants and shorts. I'll be exchanging my mediums for small with the new Dynama. Here are the differences bn Dynama 1(blue) and Dynama 2 (khaki), both are mediums regular :
Pros:
The length is more appropriate (dynama 1 were short)!
Slightly more sturdy fabric.
Sizing is probably a little more accurate. I am a medium in Dynama 1, but prob a small in Dynama 2.
Cons:
The new pocket placement is meant for men or women without hips. I am pretty slim and straight up and down and the pockets still stick out significantly.
The khaki color is darker than shown online, more a puddy color.

I love my Dynama pants. Love love love. I bought as many as I could for as long as I could. They were lonh enough, loose enough and had large pockets. I loved the thick waist band.
Dynama/2 are just ok. The material is thinner and pills. The waist band is very thin and rolls over. The pockeys are too small. The most recent pair I bought are even smaller. The hip pockets are slanted and only an inch deep. Nothing stays in them. Nothing. Not even my single car key. The thigh pocket is not big enough to hold my cell phone. The pocket lining is mesh and anything in the pockey pokes through.
I wish the original Dynama panys would come back.

I would have expected useful pockets from mountain hardware. Fit is comfortable (sized up) but there is not one secure pocket for my phone. :-/

They fit great. Comfortable stretchy light-weight, fast-drying fabric. I wish the thigh pocket was on the right side (better for right handed women) and that there were two back pockets. 5'9" and I'm happy that Regular are long enough. I'm very happy with the pants and wear them almost constantly, alternating colors.

Good quality except the pocket is too shallow and the black lining of the pocket often shows. Because the pants is beige color the black lining looks strange

I splurged and bought 5 of these a few months ago to wear casually, hiking and climbing. and had high hopes based on the reviews but I've had some issues. I bought the same size in all of them but the fit is slightly different on the different colors, some are slightly tighter and some are slightly shorter than others. Overall they were tighter than I thought they would be on the rear and the stitching in one of the pockets came undone which is annoying to have to fix. Also I think the ankle cinch looks odd when it is loosened (bell bottom look) and when tightened there isn't a good way to keep the loop tucked in so it can catch on things. I like the water resistant material and the colors but overall, I'm still on the hunt for my favorite multi-use pants.

I have 4 pairs of the older version of the Dynama pants, and I love them! The quality of the Dynama 2 pants seems much worse, though. After wearing my Dynama 2's just a few times, the fabric is pilling and looks much worse than my 8 year old original Dynama pants! Very disappointing.

Absolutely love these! I wasn't sure but figured I would give them a try. They are now so much a staple that I am buying in more colors. The waistband is so comfortable and sits at a great height. The side zip pocket is perfect. I kind of get what people are saying about the side pockets but to be honest I don't care-I don't want to put my phone in my side pocket anyways as it always tends to pull my pants down. They are just the right weight to be warm but not overly so and can easily pull off a day in the office, outside on the trail or my new favorite travelling. The UV protection is a total bonus. Really well thought out, flattering and comfortable pant. I couldn't be happier

I have these in every color (the original version and the Dynama 2) and they are my absolute favorite. I work in very hot desert weather, and these are so lightweight and comfy and super durable!! The only thing I would change is PLEASE add more pockets!!! For some reason companies that make women's outdoors pants think women only need a few tiny pocketswe need to carry a lot of things too!! If Mountain Hardwear made a new version of these pants, with belt loops, and a ton of large pockets, I'd buy them up, and so would all of my girl friends!

I have really loved these! I bought them to hike California's 'The Lost Coast' (26 miles of rugged coastline) and they were perfect. They were cool, have the perfect little amount of stretch, can be worn like capris, and were just overall so comfortable. Highly recommend!

I'm a bit confused about these pants because I thought they were exactly the same as a pair I have loved by Mountain Hardwear that I've worn for a couple of years now, but they seemed much smaller and I had to return them. I think they have changed the sizing or waistband? Possibly if I sized up I would still love them as much as my old pair, but I ended up returning them. Interestingly, they also seem to fit entirely differently than the cropped version I just bought in the same size, which fits me great.

The fit is not like previous dynama pants. I find the hip wider and the leg does not taper. But it will do for hiking. I was able to wear my previous one for evening outings and travelling.
