My foot is pretty narrow, and these are still too tight, not to mention if I put a winter sock on with them. :( Otherwise they have a really comfortable foot bed, and they're super warm. I'm noticing that boot companies are going more narrow in general, which doesn't make sense. We need to wear thicker socks with boots, so they should go wider! Also, boots should get slightly wider as sizes go up. ie, a size six should not be the same width as a size ten! Thanks for listening. :)

I forced myself to wear these boots for one season, and it was torture. They are SO narrow it is unbearable. My feet would hurt for days even after wearing these for only an hour. I ended up donating them because they were so bad. I later tried on other Sorrels in the store and they are all unbearably narrow. It is too bad, aside from the fit these are well made and very stylish.

These boots are extremely warm and comfortable. They do run narrow so I would recommend choosing a half size and possibly even a full size up.

I’m not one to write reviews but I always read others. 5 stars for these boots. They are very comfortable and warm. We woke up to a little snow this morning and I feel safe walking around in them. I’m 65 and had bunion-foot surgery almost 2 years ago and I am very happy for the support and cushion they provide.

Warm and easy to wear, good support. Easy to lace up. I wear 8.5 in regular shoes, but 9 in athletic shoes and boots. Size 9 fit great. It’s a snug fit and no room for very thick socks, but I don’t mind that. While the 9.5 also fit okay, with more room, the arch support fell in the slightly wrong place for me.

Ordered my usual size. They’re more of a snug fit, but I wouldn’t size up to accommodate, they’re supposed to be that way so you can grab traction in snow I think. They’re adorable and fashionable, but extremely practical for outside weather.

I love these boots so much. I am a solid 8 but sized up to 8 1/2 in these. They are great for hiking and long walks - comfortable right out of the box. Perfect for rain and cold - haven’t tried them in the snow yet but I’m sure they will be great.

I typically wear a size 8, but ended up with a size 9 in these boots. They are made narrow so I needed the extra room and it did not make them too long. I have a narrow-average width foot. I bought these to walk wet, hilly, unpaved terrain this winter. The tread has good grip. The insulation is adequate for a mild winter especially if you are moving. I've worn them in very wet conditions and they've proven completely waterproof. The tongue is gusseted so the protection goes up past the ankle bone a bit. They have great cushion and arch support. The black has a bit of faux fur showing at the top as pictured but the grey did not. Great pair of boots that should last years.

Love the style of these! I wear a size 7.5, but after reading reviews I decided to order an 8. I couldn't even get my foot into the 8! I would have exchanged for an 8.5, but there were none left in stock. Had to return them. :-(

These boots fit true to size but they do run narrow both in the toe box and heel which is perfect for me. The insole is removeable and I may be able to fit my orthotics in the shoes. They are well cushioned. Unfortunately, the right boot is cut a bit narrower in the toe box and I had to order another pair. The left boot is cut better in this boot (same size) and I will keep this pair.

I just received these boots in red. They are a snug narrow fit just like I prefer. I usually wear an 8 in any snow boot to have extra room. I listened this time to Zappos and took they’re recommending size to order a 7. I have a narrow foot so these are not for people who have wide feet. My normal shoe size is a 7 1/2. So I would take they’re recommended size. Before I ordered these I had ordered the Keen elaina in grey. Another comfortable, beautiful boot but too wide for me. I came across the sorel just by reviews. These red sorel boots should be perfect for winter walking and hiking and that’s what I’m looking for. I hope this helps

I’ve been in desperate need of a new snow/winter boot and finally decided upon these and I couldn’t be more thrilled! I walk my dogs a lot so it was imperative that these were comfortable. I can happily report that after several walks these have proved to be warm, cozy and incredibly cushy and comfortable. For reference, typically I wear a 9 but opted for the 9.5 to accommodate a thicker sock and they fit perfectly. Love them!

I cannot give a good review for comfort as they did not fit! According to the reviews I read, I purchased these in the recommended size. They were huge on me. Sadly, I must return them and no exchange for a smaller size is offered.

I am a 6.5 in most other brands, but with the insulation/puffiness of these Sorel boots and because these are winter boots (I like to wear thick socks), I went up a half size and ordered size 7. They fit snugly and comfortably right off the bat. The insole is nice and cushy and great for wearing all day. One area I’ve noticed discomfort is the ankle; the decorative straps at the base of the ankle are tighter than the top of the boot and just high enough to rub against the lower part of my outer ankle bone. These boots have great traction and are pretty warm, but they’re not a substitute for full winter, snow boots. They’re excellent as a casual sneaker-boot, and they’re super cute.

This boot is the final straw for me with Sorel. I ignored all reviews online that said this boot is too narrow. When I pulled it out of the box I understood. The shoes are shockingly narrow. They are not designed to fit a human foot which is wider across the toes. These boots are shaped like an oval, instead of one that tapers. A true narrow shoe is designed to be 3.5" or less in width. The insole of these are 3" at the widest point. Measure the widest part of your foot across the toes. Highly unlikely to be 3". I weigh 125 lbs and my foot is wider. I have attached photos comparing the Sorel insole and boot to a Keds double decker and Brooks so you can see just how tight these would be. With the thinnest sock these are actually painful because the sole is just too tight, even when you make the laces wider. Now consider they're a winter boot and when you live in a place with a true winter you want to be warm and wear thick socks. You cannot do that with these boots unless your foot is very narrow to start with. I will not purchase Sorel again until they redesign their boots for actual functionality. Winter boots need to be made for a normal adult foot size- and then widened a bit to allow for thick socks to avoid hypothermia and literal freezing cold toes. Grateful for Zappos' return policy.

These are so cute! Comfy right out of the box, good arch support, lightweight but very warm. I wear a 7-7.5, depending on the shoe and a 7.5 in these was perfect.

Super cute and would definitely be warm. Like others, I decided to size up a 1/2 size but it was still too small and so narrow that it was uncomfortable and I have narrow feet. Not sure I will try it in a larger size as I'm afraid it will still be too narrow...I suppose if you wore it without socks it would be ok but that is not my preference. So the search continues.

Toe box narrow felt like a lump in the middle of my arch.

These boots fit perfectly and were very comfortable. I'm usually between an 11 and 12, solidly narrow, but the 12 M fit well with thick wool socks. The first time I wore them we had a very wet, slushy snow, and my feet started to get wet within the first 20 minutes. By the end of my one-hour walk, the interior of the boot was quite wet, and it took more than a day to dry out. I purchased these boots because they're advertised as waterproof. Sadly, they're not, so I'm returning them.
