I've had it for a few weeks now and worn it through a couple denver snowstorms and a week of up-state NY cold nights. I have no major concerns - It's made of all quality materials and is stylish for around town. A few minor quibbles for a coat at this price: the hand pockets are not insulated and the bottom doesn't have a cinch. Overall, I'd still buy this one again.
Sizing: I am 6'3" 175lbs (big frame but lightweight) and got the medium. It is a looser fit, so like others, I'd recommend sizing down if you're between sizes.

Great fit and functional design. Love the sleek and clean look of the jacket with minimal embellishments for the pockets. Only wish the fur was a bit fuller.

The medium is much bigger compared to other Company products, other than that, everything is perfect.

I use this jacket for everyday wear to and from work and walking my son to school. It's the provides a good amount of warmth when it's 30 degrees outside and/or if it's drizzling. I like being cozy, which this jacket provides without feeling trapped in an oversized coat. It's also not very heavy so it's easy to carry around on my back with the provided shoulder straps. It does run a little big on size I felt. I typically wear everything large but medium fit me best for this jacket (I'm 5' 10). Of the multiple NF jackets I tried on, this one looked and felt the best. The only downside is that it doesn't have enough pockets... just very large ones.

I really like this jacket. I tried on at least 10 jackets before settling on this one. I was looking for something that was waterproof, breathable, down-insulated and could keep me warm through Wisconsin winters. This was the best one I found! The hip pockets are lined with a soft fabric and are nice and deep. I can hold my gloves, hat, keys, etc. in them easily without fear of them falling out. Overall stitch quality is excellent throughout. My only complaint is the front zipper that sticks every time I use it (that's why I knocked it down from 5 to 4 stars). I am sure NorthFace would replace it if I asked, but it is not too bad. I am 6', about 225 lbs and I was swimming in the XL, but the L fit perfectly so keep that in mind when ordering. I removed the faux fur hood because I don't think it is necessary. It removes easily and can be reattached with the snaps I feel I want to give it try. So far I took it out in 10 degree F weather and I wasn't cold at all except for my face.

Great jacket! The first one I received was too large (XL) and I exchanged it for a size L and it was perfect for me. I am 6', about 225 so take that into consideration. Hip pockets are large and nice and deep to hold gloves, a hat, keys, etc. without a risk for them falling out. These pockets are nice and soft too. My only complaint is the front zipper sticks a little when zipping up. I recently took a long walk when it was 10 degrees F outsidenot in the least bit cold whatsoever except for my face.

Really liked the cost at first, was wearing it in 30-50 deg F weather and was super warm, then temperatures dropped to 20-30 deg F and inside of coat was cold, insulation was not holding up. Coat looks fantastic but warmth is more important, this may stop me from getting any north face coats in the future, I've had several in the past that held up very well and were very warm compared to this.

This jacket was awesome but there was a couple things related to the hood that didn't work for me. The color of the fur was not one I enjoyed and there were no options for a different color. The second was how the fur attached to the hood. It was only 5 buttons so it wasn't sealed off from the elements. The gap was large enough that when wearing the hood, you could see through.

TNF really dropped the ball on the sizing of the new outerboroughs jacket. The old outerboroughs jacket seemed to fit most people perfectly, while this new one runs very large and they seemed to have combined reviews for both.
I have worn many TNF jackets such as the McMurdo Parka and small fits me perfectly. The new outboroughs in small feels more like a medium or even large. The sleeves are too long and there is way too much room in the body even when wearing multiple layers. For reference, I am 5'6" and weigh 132 lbs. TNF seriously needs to have more standardized sizing. I have a Patagonia Jackson Glacier jacket in medium that fits me perfectly.
If the jacket fit properly I would have kept it! Beautiful navy blue, better styling than the McMurdo in my opinion, high quality materials and stitching, and excellent performance. If they had an extra small I would have given it a try.

I live in Texas and coldest we get is 40-50 on average. Wore it on a trip to Washington DC and weather reported 5-10 degree weather and I thought perfect to wear since I was in Capitol Hill primarily for work walking on foot. As soon as I got outside aside from face freezing, I felt a draft from below and noticed more air coming walking outside. The pockets inside kept me slightly warm, still had to put gloves. Will admit it is a pretty oversized relaxed jacket which is nice but in 5 degree weather I still felt pretty cold but not freezing.

The jacket runs at least 1 size large depending on how you like your fit. I'm 6'1" tall, 40" chest and the size L was too big and the sleeves too long covering half of my hand fully extended (arm down). I'm returning it. I like the style a lot though It's a really cool green tone that would go well with a lot of things . What I didn't like besides the size chart being off was: No internal pocket at all, no waist adjustment and the faux fur on the hood looks very cheap, and the attachment system is poorly designed making it awkward to wear.

Purchased a medium as that's what I wear with other NF gear, but it was too small. Returned and ordered a small.

At this price point, I'm disappointed and am allowed to gripe. My general comments are in the pro's and cons, but the worst is that the upper arms are simply cold and the coat lacks many rudimentary features found in lessor parkas. I shouldn't be worried about layering at 30 degrees. And I hate the all too prominent logo !!!

Bought and returned, as I expected more for the price. First as others have mentioned, the size is bigger than you think. My other North Face were Large, but this one was too big. Second, it's missing a draw cord for both the hood and waist/hem. Really hard to keep out the Wisconsin cold without those, so I returned it rather than trying a different size.
Other mentionables:
- I don't know who uses the fur hood liner. It clips on with buttons and seems mostly useless.
- The gussets at the wrists are quite nicely done
- Overall materials and feel is typical good North Face quality

Even in Men's Small the coat is a bit on the oversize. Other then that the coat is pretty good and utilitarian.
