I was surprised- i read a lot of great reviews about this shoe. But in actuality, it is very stiff, and VERY narrow. I had to check the label on the tongue to make sure that it actually WAS a wide... Will have to return.

I usually wear an 8. It was small. I thought going up a 1/2 size would be good based on the 8 I tried. The 8.5 felt like the 8 did. I've never worn a 9 but will have to go up a full size. I like the shoe so I am trying it a 3rd time.

I have been running in Brooks Adrenalines for years, and this is only the second version that has not worked for my feet. The arch support feels too far forward on my foot which causes a tingling sensation on the top of my foot when I run. Also, I have never had to "break-in" Adrenalines, and the first time I wore these, I got blisters on my ankles. I tried to loosen the heel, but they still rubbed wrong in subsequent runs.

Not like the GTS 20 - I wish Brooks wouldn't change the style so much each year. I love my GTS 20s but these are different. The front toe box area is larger and the whole shoe just feels enough off that I'm returning them.

Size was too short. I always wore a size 8 but they all seem a little too short for me now. Tried it out on my treadmill and the back of the heel kept dragging. Since it was too short i didn't take it out for a run which would have been a better evaluation of the shoe. It felt like a good shoe though.

The Adrenaline GTS21 is a cute running shoe so I gave the style 5-starts, but the toe box was too wide for my foot, and the support made my foot pronate more than normal. I usually wear Ghosts, but wanted to try this as I liked the leopard print.

Something has changed between 20 and 21. I love my 20s, but my foot slides around in the 21s, to the point where I have to stop several times during my run to try to adjust the laces or try to tighten them up without cutting off my circulation. I slide around in both the toe box and the heel - just all over it feels too roomy. New socks and bunny ear tying haven't helped, and I don't think its the cooler weather. I haven't had this issue previously. I plan hunt down a few 20s and hang on to them and hope the 22s are better.

I am not a runner. I am a 68 year old woman. I walk 2-3 miles a day and sometimes get heel or knee pain and had hoped these would have more cushioning in the heel.

I have run in Adrenalines for 10 years. I am sooo disappointed in this incarnation. The shoe digs into the area just above my left ankle as the shoe itself is very firm in that spot. I tried another pair to see if it was just that pair, but the next pair did the same thing. I?m going to buy up my size in the Adrenaline 20s to tide me over until the 22s come out. :-) The Brooks staff has been really helpful in resolving my issue, and I would give them six stars if I could.

Cannot use any but the 20's with my knees and my orthotics I don't wear any other shoes. Tried the glycerin, launch, addiction. No dice. Hoping the GTS 23's will work for me. Down to my last pair of 20's.

I?ve worn the adrenaline gts since 2010. I do not know what brooks has done to change the design but I am finished. I started with a brand new pair in July and they sucked. Ordered two new pairs hoping that it was just one defective pair. Out of the two new ones, I?ve worn one for two weeks. Saturday, I went out for a 20 mile run. Seven miles in and I switched to the new, never been worn pair because there is no cushion and my feet hurt. Same problem. No cushion in the forefoot. They felt like shoes that were nearing their retirement. I?m beyond disappointed.

These absolutely killed the inside of my foot/arch. I'm guessing the arch support was too high for me. The bone on the inside of my foot was in so much pain which eventually went away after I stopped wearing them. I walk 5-8 miles, not a runner.

This is my last pair of Brooks. I’ve worn these less than 200 miles and there are already holes in the back of the shoe, which then ruin all my socks. I’ve had this happen with several pairs of Brooks, and I’m over it. They’re too expensive for such poor quality.

Not like previous models- immediate foot pain that has not improved after wearing in shoes.

Not happy at all. I've worn Adrenaline for like 12 years - buying different series every 6-10 months. Always a size 12. This time, they seem smaller than the rest, press on my toe. I'm looking into returning - but concerned that I'll just have the same problem if this is a design change.

Super disappointed in these shoes. I've gone between adrenalines and asics kayanos for years and my last adrenalines were the 19s. They held up well but the tread wore and I was ready to replace. This version is a joke. The fabric shoe is so soft and flimsy, my foot is all over the place. I have very flat feet, and they are already hanging over at the arch since there is nothing to hold it in. The laces feel like an elastic hairband, they are so stretchy. I can't tie them tight enough to stop my foot from sloshing around. The heel feels deeper than earlier models and my ankle is rubbing against the side. I'm returning and am pretty bummed about it.

Well the top part of the shoe where you tie the shoe laces gave me a pain on the side of my foot.I have flat feet, very pronounced bunions and I overpronate. My Dr. suggested Hoka so I will try those. I wear an 8size shoe but in running shoes I wear a 9.5 because I like the room in the front and I need a wide toe box. I weigh 130 lbs.

I have been buying these shoes for years. This time I bought 2 pairs- I am not sure what changed but within days of wearing them my knees were in incredible pain. I thought it was a condition - it wasn?t until I went to the dr and he asked about the shoes- I took them off and the next day had zero knee pain- I am wondering if my shoes have some sort of issue, I know it sounds strange but something is off. I reached out to Brooks to see if my pair maybe we?re just an issue but never heard back which is disappointing. I?m currently wearing my old pair with no issues.

The tongue is narrower than the Adrenaline 20, which didn't feel comfortable, also the sides felt higher and rubbed under my ankle bones. The narrower tongue could be what caused the problem with the sides, since the side of the shoe sits closer to the ankle with no padding from the tongue. I'm very disappointed because my Adrenaline 20's are my most comfortable shoes.

Had to return these. The opening went up too high and rubbed against the tendons in my ankle. I also was unable to find it in narrow, which is usually a necessity for me. I took a chance and it was wrong all around. And this is a shame because the Adrenaline has been my go-to in the past.

They were not comfortable to walk in for work. The page also said to order a half size bigger which I did but that made them TOO big!

Wear a size 9.5 or 10. I ordered a 10 and it worked. However, only 3 hours into a 12 hour shift, my back, knees, ankles, and feet were killing me. Will not buy again. Not saying it won?t work for someone else. Just not for me.
