I bought the Revel 4 and the Ghost 13 at the same time. Revel 4 may be $30 less, but they have far less cushioning and arch support than the Ghost 13s. You get what you pay for. My advice: If you have any kind of foot issues, spring for a pair the Ghost 13.

Since having foot surgeries, I had never found a shoe that I really like until Brooks. I would love to try some Hoka One out. I have had several people tell me those are great shoes. I am very new to Brooks shoes. I just ordered my first pair back in March and instantly fell in love with them. The style is great.I have to wear khakis and these shoes look great with them. The shoes are very comfortable. I work 2 jobs and I can wear these all day and my feet don't hurt or burn. Overall I would give this shoe and 10. The style and the comfort are perfect for my busy lifestyle. I have had 2 ankle surgeries and the support they offer is much better that any other shoes I have ever ordered.

I am very relieved to have found these. I have tricky feet and have been happily wearing a pair of the PureFlow 6 (in a size 7) for walking, and it came time to get a new pair. I’m usually a 7 and I naively assumed the PureFlow 7 would be an easy purchase, but alas they didn’t work for me. Something changed in the newer model - size 7 was far too small and although the 7.5 fit lengthwise they were super tight and uncomfortable. So I had to really do some research to find another potential pair. I really don’t like to have hot feet and prefer light weight construction/air flow while at the same time needing a lot of support and cush. Also want them to be cute! It’s a tall order. But I found the Revel 4 and based on the description and reviews gave them a try - glad I did! Went with the 7.5 based on the reviews and my experience with the newer PureFlow, which was the right size for me. These are comfortable right out of the box. Very light and airy, but still supportive and cushy. Also not too narrow - I have pretty average width feet, but don’t like tight shoes, and these are perfect in the width - nice and roomy. I like the streamlined, flatter tongue (which I also liked on the PureFlow 6 but the 7 didn’t have), helping make it less bulky. They do come up a little higher in the back but I haven’t had any issues personally as long as my socks are not slipped down. Great traction and grip help me feel really stable (I’m pretty clumsy so that’s a plus for me). AND they’re cute. Yay! Happy feet again!

I take a half size up so an 8 1/2 fit perfectly. In sneakers it seems I'm usually 8 and a half but in other shoes I may wear an 8. The arch support and width of the shoe was great. I usually wear a regular width but my foot is relatively wide. I have plantar fasciitis and the arch support was good even without my Aetrex insert. I have been wearing Aetrex sneakers until I found Brooks as a comfortable alternative and these are priced better and have more styles to choose from.

I'm a big Brooks fan, and I liked the Brooks Revel 3s, but the Revel 4 is clearly not meant to be a running shoe. In fact, when I went to my local running shop and mentioned my difficulty with the Revel 4s, she noted that they were meant to be a lifestyle shoe rather than a running shoe. Thankfully, Zappos took my return, even though I had already run in the Revel 4s. But I did want to leave a review to help anyone else searching for a good running shoe. If you intend to use these for running and not everyday errand-running, try a different shoe. (The Brooks Launch 8s are great.) For reference, I run about 3 times a week, 6 miles per run. When I ran in the Brooks Revel 4s, my feet were throbbing. They felt too narrow/tight and didn't give appropriate support.

I received the Brooks Revel 4 and I love them! Brooks Running Shoes and the only athletic shoes I wear. I have always had issues with athletic shoes, then I tried Brooks and that was it! They are the most comfortable I have ever worn! The width is actually good for me, I do have a bit of a wider foot but whatever the material is, they seem to breath through out the day when I am wearing them.

I’ve been a Salomon gal for years and they quit making my favorite pair a while back. I have a narrow heel and wide to box. Finding a shoe where my heel doesn’t slip but is wide enough to accommodate a neuroma has been a constant challenge but these fit the bill, comfy right out of the box.

It has moderate arch support for someone with normal arches. I have such high arches that I have to use custom orthotics so my arches don't collapse. That's what I love about Brooks shoes! I can get a wider shoe that's comfortable and the insoles come out so I can use my own. I wish I would have found Brooks shoes ages ago! Also Zappos has the best customer service to help you find the shoe you want.

The shoes are amazing! I wore them this morning for run and this afternoon for a Zumba class. My feet were happy the whole time! As a PE teacher, I can’t wait to wear them in the gym this fall! The color is great, too!! :-)

Love, love, love these shoes! I bought my first pair for my new nursing job, where I’m on my feet for hours at a time. I have extremely high arches, which makes it hard to find comfortable shoes. They were immediately comfortable, with no “break-in” period whatsoever. I liked them so much, I bought a second pair to wear outside of work; definitely worth the money.

I love everything about these shoes! They look great and are the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. Plenty of room for toes to spread out. I loved them so much I bought the same pair in a different color. They look cute with scrubs, jeans, and athletic wear.

These shoes not only look fabulous but they are super comfortable. I ran 4 miles without any discomfort. Love them! I would highly recommend!

Love these shoes! I work 12 hour shifts on my feet and they were so comfortable. I have several pairs of the Adrenaline GTS but had to order these for the holidays. I ordered a 7.5 which is my normal size and they fit perfectly.. I get so many compliments on them!

Great shoe!!! I am giving this pair of Brooks revel 4 a 5 star rating I love the style and they are very comfortable. I recommend ordering half size up for a perfect fit. I am normally an eight and the 8 1/2 fit perfectly! The width seemed standard,Not too wide not too narrow. I love the cushiony feeling when I walked. I have a slight arch in my feet and these feel great. My feet aren’t tired at the end of the day.

The fit was perfect because I ordered one half-size larger, based on other reviews. The width was perfect, as was the amount of arch support. I wear orthotics, and they fit inside the shoe well without making the shoe too tight otherwise. I liked the material and I thought they were a pretty, though neutral, color. (I'd call them taupe-colored; I forget what Zappos called it.) There was kind of a shiny quality to them, almost silvery, and I thought they looked classy.

I love these shoes, they just made a tour at Mall of America & did not disappoint. I received so many compliments and they were beyond comfy. I wore them 2 of the 3 days and they didn’t hurt at all, I’m a heavier girl and they were so wonderful.

Fit is as expected. Material is scratchy/stiff rather than soft. There is almost no arch support and almost no support in the forefoot area, which makes it tough to run more than a mile or two at a time. I don’t think this is a good shoe for a distance runner.

These shoes run true to size; are lightweight; attractive; cushioned; comfortable; and offer a moderate amount of arch support, but no lateral support - more on that later. I really liked the pull tab on the heel, but I didn't particularly care for the laces (they felt cheap and were too long) or the upper material, which also felt cheap and a bit stiff. The biggest problem for me was the excessive material on the upper. The excess fabric wrinkled in the inner arch area which caused the shoe to feel very unstable and lose its lateral support. This is a VERY neutral shoe. There is no heel counter for extra support and the midfoot didn't lock down tightly enough for me in the arch area. I have a low volume, medium width foot. If you have more "meat" to your foot or a higher instep, this shoe could work for you, but if your foot is like mine, keep looking.

Pros: the cushioning was good on this shoe and the color was good to wear at work. The cons: My heels kept slipping up no matter how I tied the shoelaces, the shoelaces were thin and uncomfortable and the tongue was thin in its material - not comfortable for the top of my foot. On the Revel 3, the shoelaces were the thick oval type and the tongue was padded. This shoe went back.

My third pair of Brooks I find they run 1/2 size small, so I buy up 1/2 from usual size for good fit. Comfortable for walking shoe.

These are my favorite Brooks , and I also own both the Glycerins and Ghost 13s . I have scoliosis & plantar fasciitis and the Revels are much more comfortable to me for all day wear than my other Brooks. I don’t get all the negative reviews. Photo of my Ghosts ..

I need a shoe for my job in which I am on my feet and walk a lot. I prefer a neutral shoe, one without too much arch support and a sole that is more on the flexible side. This shoe fits the bill. The colors are also fun and different which I love. Overall, It’s a very comfortable shoe. I have not run in this shoe, so I don’t know how it would be for running.

This is the 3rd pair of this shoe I've bought for my daughter (she outgrew the first, the second adheres to her school uniform, and the third is for running to replace that 1st pair). She says they're super comfy and loves the style as well!
