not really the 'springy ride' it's supposed to be, in fact RRS calls this shoe a stability shoe which is why it felt a bit 'clunky'. It's also a little loose in the heel fit. I hate to see the Revel switch as it was the best shoe for me thru all previous versions UNTIL this latest 'update'. Sadly, I've returned mine but was able to find the older Revel 3 model and can run in comfort again. Please change it back Brooks! We love our Revel 3's!

At 53 have started training to run my very first 5k. Decided to buy a dedicated running shoe, this shoe was what I decided to purchase. I am not sorry I bought these, they are comfortable and able to do way more than I can! As I train more I feel secure in my purchase, I know this is just a beginning runners/training shoe but I have more confidence knowing this is a quality shoe! Happy to run in this Brooks shoe!!!

These are so comfortable!!! But the rubber on bottom is starting to pull away after a couole of weeks.

I don't run as much as before so I figured no need for glycerines or ghost plus the price was right. Guess what? I found the Revel to be just as comfortable and with enough bounce plus an adequate toe box. I'll be buying another pair soon.

Nice looking shoe, wear it to work

It's the Revel I've grown fond of over the past few years, but with a better upper/fit and slightly different ground feel. Running shorter distances right now, however I have taken a pair of revels out in the past for anywhere between 10-20 miles.

Very easy and got the shoes faster then I thought

I love this shoe. It has a very comfortable sole and has enough room in the toe box for complete comfort. Most laced shoes irritate my large toe joint due to the lacing eyelets starting at that point, but the lacing on this shoe starts slightly higher on my foot and thus doesn't create pressure on my joint.

I am so impressed with my Brooks shoes. I bought my first pair several years ago and now I won't buy anything else. They fit perfect, feel great, and hold up to my busy life. My latest pair of Revel 4 is sharp looking, lightweight, and very comfortable from the minute that I put them on. Love them!

Shoe has been great. Wide toe box for my wide feet, but snug enough around mid foot. Very happy with these ones.

This might be your most perfect shoe (for me at least). The midsole is simple, effective, and not over-scienced. It's cushy and responsive, but not too much of either, which allows my feet and body to do the work instead of the shoe. The forefoot/toe box are wide enough that I can spread my toes apart. These have been a great shoe for short, faster runs, or middle to longer distance runs. This is the best 3-tool (speed, tempo, distance) shoe I've had in years!

Great shoe. Brooks needs to mock the comfort of this shoe with all their shoes.
