So far so good! These are great for those high schoolers with wider feet!

Snap downs have been some of the best wrestling shoes my kids have had. They usually get the mat flex but love the snap down instead. Just wish they had more colors for girls (pink or purple)

Have worn Asics all my life through high school and college wrestling and love these. I now am 70 and do powerlifting and these are perfect for getting a super grip for bench press and deadlift.

Nice looking and comfortable shoe according to my son. We'll see how they hold up during the upcoming wrestling season.

Shoes fit, but on my black mats, the black is already overtaking the blue after one wear. I do not recommend these shoes.

Comfortable, good fit, and good mat grip. I would recommend these to any wrestlers.
I would have given 5 stars but not sure how they hold up yet.

I use these shoes for powerlifting, and have been looking for a pair of (extra) wide lifting shoes--preferably with minimal heel drop--for a very, very, VERY long time. For context, I have very wide feet. My normal shoe size varies from 11-11.5 3E-4E, depending on manufacturer availability (NB and Allen Edmonds have been my go-to's)--it's honestly probably a smidge wider than 4E, but footwear options are basically non-existent at that point. This has made my search incredibly frustrating.
The reviews ranged from sizing up by half-size to 2 sizes. I went with a Sz12 (half size up). After loosening up the laces a good deal + breaking them in over a couple of sessions, these were initially very snug, but now stretched out a bit/molded to my feet, and fit like a glove. They're legit incredibly comfortable. The reviews are correct in that these do run very hot, so make sure to air them out after every session otherwise the funk will definitely build up.
The rubber soles, especially those on the sides of footbed, have excellent traction and prevent wide feet from "spilling over." One thing to note, some of the stitching is starting to come loose on the sides after ~1mo of use, despite only wearing these while on-platform for squats, deads/rows, OHPs, etc, so it's hard to say what the long-term durability will be (hence, 4 stars and not 5). That said, I'm still very pleased overall - it's a great solution for us wide-footed folks, and while those who prefer a bit of heel lift (due to ankle mobility/depth issues etc) might still SOL, this is great for those who prefer a more minimalist/"barefoot" approach.
@Asics - Please expand to 3E sizes, or make sure to keep these in production!

Fits a bit small compared to their fitting chart. Great shoes though! The side slit design isn't the greatest but it's very grippy.

At first my foot was tight wearing them but after wearing them for 2-3 practices they welded around the size of my foot and they feel a lot better. If you're looking for a quality shoe to use for your wrestling season you should give these ones a try. Also the color looks cool too.

If you wear a 2E, it is tight.
4E? Forget it. But sadly this is widest shoe on the market.

It's a nice shoe but the sizing is bonkers. You can see from the picture that the sizing is off -- the EU sizing doesn't correspond with the U.S. sizing listed on the inside of the tongue. I ordered a full size larger than my U.S. men's size, EE. The shoe is still maybe a quarter to a half-size smaller than my actual size, and it's definitely not a double wide. I would say that it's average width, adjustable to be slightly wider than average. I am going to keep the shoe because it will do, but what on earth is going on with the sizing????

Extraordinarily small fit. I'm a true 10.5 and I couldn't get them on my feet even with laces fully pulled and no socks.

I wear a 13E, which ordinarily is a little loose on me. This shoe came the opposite; it was snug and almost didn't even fit.

Waaaay too small and tight. I have a narrow foot and the toe box is too narrow. I ordered 1/2 size up and it felt like a whole size smaller. There's also this weird tongue with one side loose and one side stitched. C'mon Asics - there are enough martial artists that need a good shoe! What happened to the ones you made in the early 2000's?

Do not order these if you are expecting black shoes….and the writing is not orange, it is pink. Extremely disappointed.

If the show is even slightly tight the tongue will not wrap around and your shoe will be open. It is not a good design.

I ordered these shoes twice in a size 9. Twice, they came in a box that said size 9, but inside were size 8 shoes; this happened both times. I lost confidence in the company's ability to send me the correct shoes, so instead of returning the shoes for a second time and reordering, I decided to keep them, even though they are too small.
I will likely not make another purchase with ASICS again.

There isn't a good way to slide your foot in or out of this shoe. The Tongueless design makes it harder to fit the shoe properly. I would not buy this shoe if I had been able to try it on first

These shoes are so cute! I really wanted to fit them but they were so tight I couldn't believe it! It was like putting a corset on my foot. The length was good and even the width of the footbed was true to size. The problem was when they attached the straps. The straps were attached a good 1/2 inch inside the footbed which means you lose an whole inch on the shoe. Because of that it made the whole shoe feel two sizes too small.
