Love these, my first pair of docs! I hope they hold up for a long time. Do not be afraid of how tall these shoes are, it is just right in person! Not much time past for them to break in, the leather is good, on one shoe I can see real nice grain texture(They aren't the type of shoe that looks practically like plastic). I am considering putting an insole in them just to make them that much comfier.

Absolutely love these. They were comfortable right out of the box. They have become my go to shoe this school year. As a teacher I need comfortable shoes, and these definitely check that box. I am even able to go for long walks. I normally wear a 10 in Dr. Marten’s but listened to other reviewers and chose size 9; it fits perfectly. You will not regret this purchase.

They’re awesome because they’re the type of leather that looks better as they get dinged a little. Comfort only slightly diminished because no half sizes so as suggested did go all the way down to a 9 and my feet are slightly different sizes so left fits perfect but right a little cramped and I know a 10 would have been way too big. Style gets it right cuz sort of like Blundts but have perfected that awkward shape I could never really put my finger on with them and a thicker soul. Honestly I could have even dug a slightly thicker soul just for that extra punk-esque flair but I really dig em. First leather boot I ever owned. Always did the rubber Chelsea’s before this year so greatly look forward to the corners of my toe boxes not cracking from heavy wear. All around solid boot. Been getting tons of compliments!!!

I bought these shoes for a long, overseas trip. I wanted a shoe that would look stylish in urban areas and get me through two weeks in a very rural, very hilly village. These shoes delivered, and more. First, they survived some low level hiking and provided an above level amount of grip for shoes that aren't hiking boots. They survived deep mud and heavy rain and though they aren't billed as waterproof my feet stayed dry. They are also incredibly comfortable. I basically wore them 12 hours a day for three weeks straight without a problem. They go with anything--pants, skirts, and dresses. Finally, a few strangers commented on my style. I rarely find shoes that I really like, particularly for this price, but in this case I couldn't have made a better purchase.

I've never been a Dr.Marten fan before, and I still think a lot of their shoes are a bit 'out there', but I seriously love this pair of boots. The black(ish) sole is far better than the yellowish. I can't say enough about them, but I did add an insole for added arch support.

It's a shame they don't have half sizes, but in this case, the shoe fit almost perfectly. I wasn't expecting them to be nearly as comfy as they are. I felt like I was walking on a comfy pair of athletic shoes. The part of the boot by the ankle is a bit tight, but I think I can stretch that out. Overall, I'm quite impressed and happy with my first pair of official Dr Martens!

The throat of these boots is so tight that I could not get my foot into the boot. They need zipper.

I normally wear a 9.5-10 and sized down to a 9 and they were perfect. A little difficult to get on, but the back loop helps and I am sure they will break in easily.

I got the Dr Martens Embury boots in a size 7 Womens! They were pretty cute, but they’re so much wider than the regular pair of docs :( Also I think they’re larger than usual. I usually wear a 7-7.5 & the 7 womens was too big! Felt like a size 8 or so. Id recommend to go a size down if you get these boots OR you’d just have to wear like 2/3 pairs of socks haha

First off, this is an amazingly comfortable boot. I have 74 year old feet and they’re hard to keep happy. The first pair was size 6 and were a bit snug so I went for my usual size 7 (DM I generally runs large). The 7’s fit perfect with a medium weight wool sock, though I only got the right boot on. The left boot I struggled with for 5 minutes before tossing in the towel. As others have pointed out, these are very tight at the ankle (the inserted tissue even shredded when I pulled it out) and there is no zipper, so good luck getting them on. They are not the kind of boot you can just “throw on”. When you’re in a hurry. They are comfortable, stylish, and the leather is soft and lovely, but I will have to return.

My husband and I both have a pair of these and my teenage son had been borrowing my husband's until finally his teenage feet could no longer fit. I accidentally got the wrong size first (because of UK vs US sizing), but of course, return and re-purchase is super easy with zappos. We're all very happy. My husband wears his for work around the farm when he doesn't need steel toes. I wear mine with skirts, ankle pants, etc . Got the brown for my son and it is a rich, dark color.

These boots are so cute. Sometimes I worry about boots on my big feet looking too large but they're so cute!! They are stiff in the ankle so there's not much mobility but they're sturdy and cute!

if you have wide and big feet lilke me this is your boot.

They fit like someone who knows how to make a custom boot fit well made them for me! I believe that I read somewhere to order 1/2 size up… I didn’t. I ordered 10, which I usually wear, and I’m glad I did, because these are perfect. The workmanship is great. I think it’s interesting as you look at these boots (pic 1 is my happy foot in the Dr. Martin’s Embry; pic 2 is the view from the ZAPPO’S web site; 3 is another Dr. Martin sold elsewhere on another SITE for $169.99…. I’ve read both descriptions over and over and can’t find a difference! CHECK ZAPPO’S BEFORE YOU BUY, FOLKS!) I’m NOT suggesting that there isn’t any difference, but I sure can’t find one… right down to the Crazy Horse leather they’re made from! Thanks again, Zappo’s!

Although I loved the look and dirt of these boots, I had to return because the ankle was too tight. Admittedly, I have wider ankles and calves. Super disappointing because they were awesome!

I originally ordered a size 7. I have 1 foot size 7ish, 1; 6.5…. Wide-ish feet. If there is an option to buy wide, I do. 7’s were way too big. Size 6 fit perfectly

I have extremely wide feet & own other Docs that never broke in even after 100+ hours of wear. My piggy toe always crams into the edge & gets bruised- NOT THESE! These boots arrived feeling like they were already broken in and are more comfortable than my crocs. I did yet a blister on my leg from the top leather but wearing taller socks should solve this. I wore the boots for 8+ hours on the first day and they felt like i’ve owned them for years. I’m an 8.5 womens and ordered a 10 for extra width. No issues with length on the larger size- more room for a thick sock.

It's a great looking shoe that fits any style. You can wear with Jeans, Cargos, slacks etc. Be careful with sizing , I wear a size 10.5 but since it doesn't comes in 1/2 sizes I got an 11.... I was wrong, it was so huge and I realized I could go all the way down to a size 9 which I got and it fit perfectly !!

The sizing is consistent with my other Docs. The insoles pop out so I was able to put my own arch support inside, with plenty of room for my toes to move. The top where it hits my leg is stiff but I know it will soften over time.

I’ve been eyeing these for a few months and finally got them! I love that 90s lug soles are having a day. I’m usually a size 8 in most shoes and 8.5 in tennis shoes, but the 7 in these fit. They run large, so size down.

I read lots of reviews before ordering these boots & that made sizing successful. I’m usually a 7.5 or 8. Ordered a 7 based on reviews & they fit perfectly. They are a little snug around the ankle, but I think they’ll loosen up a bit with wear. I’d rather they be a bit snug vs. too loose. They are such good looking boots! I’m new to Docs & I’m not ready for anything too shiny or detailed just yet. This leather is beautiful; smooth & rich with a subtle sheen. Can’t wait to wear them this winter!
