Based on other people's comments about sizing, and the unavailability of an 8, I ordered the 7.5 in this style. That turned out to be *perfect* for my wide feet and stubby toes, and I've just taken my first walk in them on a breezy 16-degree day in Minnesota. They go on easily over a thick sock and fit comfortably, with just a little bit of play--I learned years ago that winter boots that are too tight won't keep your feet warm, so I always want a bit of "slosh." To date the only boots that have ever kept my feet properly warm are Steger mukluks, but these Keens look like being just as effective, with the bonus of being waterproof for slushy weather. If you have narrower feet, these probably wouldn't be a good bet. But if you have duck feet like mine, they're terrific!

I always choose size 8.5 in Keens, and in fact have two other styles of the Kaci in 8.5 which fit perfectly. With thisd boot, however, I found that size 8 was what I needed and is a great fit. I tend to buy a W if I can find it, but this M was plenty wide enough.

Absolutely perfect. I put them on and they fit well and were really comfortable from the first minute. I've been on hikes wearing them, and I can wear them all day long and not have any problems. The room in the toe is fabulous. I'm a long-time Keen fan, and these make me even more so.

You know the experience when you slip a new shoe or boot on and you're like, yeah, these are good... That was exactly my experience. I knew from the get-go they were comfortable and a good fit for me. I usually wear 8.5 or 9. My feet are on the wide-side, but I usually don't have to get 'W' shoes or boots. I ordered 8.5 regular width and they fit perfectly. The only improvement I would make with these shoe/boots would be in the style, to put a little more detail on the top, as they're a bit plain. But otherwise, I love them. Thank you, Zappos, for your FREE returns because these were the third shoes I tried. Third time's charm! Glad I gave them a try.

I ordered my normal size which fit perfectly. I have a somewhat high instep and a somewhat narrow heel but otherwise my feet are pretty "normal." I found that the toe area in this boot is quite roomy, so I can see how some people might find it a bit too much. But it was perfectly fine for me both with my normal smartwool socks and with my thick socks. I've yet to wear them for more than about an hour's worth of walking but they were completely comfortable and required no "breaking in".

Wonderfully wide with no pinching. Little to no break in period. However, they are not nearly as warm as advertised. Not even close.

I was really hoping that this boot would be a sort of sneaker/snowboot/hiking combo -- the equivalent to the Keen sandals I wear all summer. I usually wear a 9/9.5 and wear 9.5 in Keen sandals, so I thought that was safe especially for use with thick socks. The boots are very cute but they are bigger and wider than most of the 9.5 shoes I wear --- they are sliding around uncomfortably on my ankles even with thick socks, and even after I swapped in a thick shearling insole. The toe box is great (I love a wide toe-box), but it's equally wide in the heel. I have narrow ankles with a wide toe box and this boot doesn't work for this, even with pulling the top tie loops tight. Maybe the 9 would have worked better, but I would be worried about losing the toe room with thick socks. Went for a winter hike and could feel the ankle blisters forming, along with a rub on the top of the shoe on one foot. The shoe is also heavier and clunkier than I expected. It's too late to return but this will probably only be useful on the coldest days with the thickest sock, not the everyday winter walking boot I was hoping foor.

I purchased these based on previous reviews. I was looking for something to keep my feet warm and not squish my toes. I agree that the toe cap is the widest I've ever had. Part of why my feet, particularly my toes, get cold is shoes impinging on them. I have poor circulation, so fit is very important to me. The support is just ok, but if that is important, there is always the option of adding inserts.

My feet are on the wide side, but these boots were like an extra wide. I would have kept them but they squeaked with every step.

I was glad for the wider feel. I was able to change out the insole. Then also use a boot sock that gave warmth. I've been walking all day in them and they are perfect. I love them. I ordered my regular size of a 7. I'm diabetic and my feet always hurt.

I love Keens and these do not disappoint. They’re a little clunky looking but they were comfortable and kept my feet dry on a 5 miles walk in the snow and ice. Will be wearing them every time. Highly recommend.

I chose not to take the advice of others and got my true to size 6. I now can't even figure out if I need a half or full size down. Really nice quality, hope I can find the right size for me.

This is a great shoe, and I've returned the 8.5 because the 8.0 is a better fit. About 99.999% of the Keens I buy are size 8.5, so I was surprised to find the 8.5 to be too large. I also choose a W where possible, but this time the M fit perfectly.

These are lighter weight than my first heavier duty Keen hiking boots, and I like the change. I wore this lightweight boot on a 4 mile hike with little breaking in around the house. Time will tell how the material wears but looks great now. Perfectly TRUE to size with LOTS of room in the toe area, even stubbed my toe on the first hike. Extra protection on the toe kept me safe. I need ankle support when hiking; these provide it.

I loved the look, support and comfort of these boots but because my regular size 6 was too big (even when I added thick socks) I had to return them. The only reason I didn’t order a smaller size is because a smaller size wasn’t available. Shopping and returns are super easy!

After reading reviews on them being big, I decided to go one half size smaller than usual to get the color I wanted. Unfortunately, they were too short. So I would say these are true to size.

The boots look gorgeous but they were too large. I have three pairs of the original Kaci boots that fit perfectly so was shocked these were too big.

Love the look of this winter bootie! Longtime Keen fan, so my expectation was the same fit for my usual size (8M). These are verrrrry wide and roomy for my bunion-y feet - not often I come across shoes too wide - these will be returned. ?

For me the extra width was perfect as my feet are wide. However, I found them to be really unattractive and clunky looking like clown shoes.

These shoes are comfortable right out of the box. I have neuropathy and have a hard time finding shoes that are comfortable. I love Keen because they have a wide toe bed. The only shoes that I am able to wear without issue is Keen and these are perfect for me. I read reviews that they squeak when you walk and they do but I don't care they are worth the squeak.

Super comfortable. My feet feel right at home in this well made shoe. I can wear with jeans or a dress.

These boots were bought for winter but they are so lightweight and sturdy that I have been wearing the to work around the farm
