There is no leather on the outside protecting toe box and it also binds there without it. I will buy the 28's next go around.

manufacturing defect in the tip of the shoe. have bought 3 different pair of KAYANOS in the last 6 months, the first 2 I returned as they were too big even though I've owned Kayanos forever. I guess Ill wait for Kayano 29 version... before this, they were all excellent. its the only running shoe I can use

These shoes were a huge disappointment in durability. Almost instantly started to rip in places around the ankle. put a hole through the toe very quickly. Then the ball of my foot wore through the sole of the shoe. I've only had these a couple months! Not worth the price because they disintegrate. The do fit, feel and look nice.

Not happy with the quality of the toe on these shoes. I have purchased the same model for 10 plus years. The top of the toe bunches up ever since the day I took them out of the box.

Have wide feet (normally 8.5 EEE). Purchased the widest size they make. Unfortunately, this meant toe box only and not arch or in step. Could not even get these shoes on. Returned immediately.

This is not the same quality, fit, comfort,or support as the ASICS GEL-KAYANO 22 I have worn for years. NOT EVEN CLOSE! These shoes are terrible, I have tried two different insoles besides the ones that came with this pair. Can't believe they are this bad when the older ones were so good

These Asics were a fail. The toe box area has a stiff protective coating on it that causes the material to ripple and the ripples bite on the big toe. Super uncomfortable, not wearable and I returned them for a refund.

This is my third pair of Gel Kayano running shoes, but these ones don't fit nearly as well as prior models. The shoe feels a little more narrow than expected, and there are very uncomfortable pressure points on the inside of the foot as well as across the toes. I'm quite disappointed with this purchase.

I have been buying Asics shoes for at least a decade. I know to buy 10.5 instead of 10 based upon previous purchases. I believe the arch is too high in this model for me. After walking (instead of jogging for the initial wearing) my feet ached terribly. Not from blisters, but terrible pain on the soles of my feet. I returned to wearing my Asics GT-7000 and now feel much better. I wrote Zappos customer service to see if they would give me a discount to buy a new pair of shoes as I would not return a pair that I walked in 12 miles. I never hear back. Not the customer service I have come to expect from Zappos.

I ordered 2e wide when I tried them on they were so tight had to return . Always wore ASICS 2e wides were always comfortable but these new one changed won't be buying your brand sorry

I bought this shoe a couple of months ago and loved them. So much that I bought a second pair. They were the most comfortable running shoe I'd ever worn and they're probably the best looking shoes I've ever had. No detail was overlooked - almost. After a few weeks the toe cap reinforcement caved in on both sides of the toes, blistering the outsides of my big toes. I'm wearing bandaids now to run in them, both pairs, both feet - purchased a week or so apart from different stores. Seems like a few people here have had the same issue. These shoes are great for wearing to the office. Not so much for running.

Not sure if shoe needs to be broken in but im on my 8th run on concrete and these shoes hurt my legs so bad. Pretty sure these dont support overpronation or have enough cushion for a moderate runner about 12 miles weekly. I will return to nike if this pain continues
