In my opinion, the new Kayanos are a downgrade in comfort. They are sorely lacking in cushioning at the front. I feel small pains appear in the front of my foot after 10km. The front of the shoe gives the feeling of running with sandals. I bought these Kayanos to replace my Kayano 21, which to me were the benchmark in terms of comfort and durability. Gel front and back and barely heavier. Today the Kayano has become a minimalistic shoe. The Kayano 21s from 5 years ago as well as each of my Trabucos are more comfortable than these ... Another point, they are much wider at the front so if you have thinner feet you risk floating down there. I am very disappointed and don't understand the positive comments of other customers. I was a Asics fan. Now I am thinking of looking elsewhere.

The best sneakers to work. After 8.5 hours of walking my feet are painless and relaxing.

I've owned the 21, 22, 23 and 24 Kayano models. I wear a woman's 8.5 but switched to a men's size 7 standard width because of the less bold colors. I have narrow heels and wider at the toes. NOT bad duck feet. These are the most comfortable gym shoes I've ever owned. I do not run, only treadmill or gym classes. Please note I use the Spenco Red walker runner insole size 2 or the green Superfeet insole recently change to Superfeet size D. I have high arches.

I'm a competitive marathon runner (Boston qualified) who has Used these shoes for years and they are awesome!

I wouldn't consider myself a runner, but I truly love these shoes! I am very much a "flat foot" individual and always struggled to find the right shoe to not cause pain. My job requires me to be on my feet routinely and these are great for long days, long walks, and occasional al runs.

Very supportive. Runs 1/4 size large. Runs slightly narrow. Great shoe for hyper pronators. Would not recommend for neutral runner or someone only wanting arch support.

I suffer with PTT (post tibial tendonitis). More on the flat footed side, but not 100%. I need arch support and I tell you, these shoes work wonders for me! Run 2 miles daily, 365 days per year. Haven't had a flair up in a few years. Currently use the Kayano 25's. On it's last legs. Ran in my new 27's yesterday. Much better improvement over the 25's. The only reason why I marked 4 instead of 5 stars is because I ordered the lime green ones and the white rubber color doesn't match it. Also, the bottom of the shoe should be lime green and black color scheem. Other than that, an amazing shoe the Kayano 27 is. Excellent design! I'll be keeping these for quite a while before I purchase the 28's.

You need to know your foot type! I have flat feet, aka "over-pronation". ASICS Gel Kayano are the perfect sneaker,you get what you pay for!!!

this shoe is a fantastic shoe for runners and it will help you to prevent 'shin splint' ... but in my case i am waiting to get my refund because the shoe was bigger than i expected. thank you.

Great fit and support for a heavier runner. I have been wearing Kayanos for many years.

Great cushion and support. Toe box is roomy. Good looking shoe. True to size.

First pair of Asics I've owned and I'm now a fan for life. Feet are happy now!
