I bought this as a packable travel coat. It's very stylish and comfortable, but the sleeves run long.

I agree with other reviewers that this jacket isn't as warm as I hoped it would be. I wanted to use it in 20 and 30 degree weather, but I think it will work best in 40+ degrees. It's quite lightweight. I bought a medium, which is a normal size for me, and it fits well--not too tight around my shoulders or hips. I like that the zipper can zip up from the bottom, but you have to make sure it snaps in place before zipping it up--it's kind of annoying.

Love the coat. Fit is great. Zipper is problematic. Very hard to align and zip.

l should have believed the other reviews. The zipper on this coat is fussy and annoying. The fit was loose in the shoulders and snug in the hips. It lacks some nice features, such as thumb-hole cuffs. The sleeves seemed very long. Beautiful color, very light weight, but overall just not a keeper.

Nice coat but runs a little small (I usually wear a L, ordered this in an XL so I could wear sweaters underneath and it runs small without a sweater). Also, the zipper sticks when trying to put on the coat regularly and it quite frustrating.

I like the look and fit of this coat. Lightweight but warm. I am disappointed with the zipper, it's hard to get started every time.

It’s a very nice looking coat, but runs small. I’m 5’8” with an athletic build, broad shoulders and a little wider in the hips than chest. I normally wear a size 8/10 so based on the size chart thought a medium would work. It barely zipped up. Definitely runs a little small. I also noticed the zipper seemed to stick a bit like other reviewers mentioned. Debating about ordering a size up… but the price has increased a lot, so looking at other options.

The color of this coat is beautiful but after wearing a few times it looks like grease stains around the sleeves and after washing on gentle cycle grease marks appeared even more.

The malbec is a gorgeous color. I get a lot of compliments. This jacket is more light weight than I expected. This is not a ND winter coat. I am disappointed for the price it is not warmer. I am 5'4" and it is long- to the top of my knees. The sleeves are on the long side too but I don't mind. I kept the jacket and will continue to search for the jacket that keeps me warm with wind and -40 degrees!

The coat is warm and very lightweight. It is indeed waterproof;i was concerned it wouldnt be. However, it gets a low rating because it ripped wotjim tje 1st few wears. I wear it snowmachining, And im assuming a spruce branch tore it because the tear was on my lower back. However, i habe other Columbia down coats that are similar, that i habe worn while riding, that have not ripped. I am ovwrall happy with the other features of the coat but vwey disappointed in its durability.

The down jacket fit well, had room for layering underneath but the down fill was so thin that it would not be warm enough for MN winter's (-20 F with -30 windchills). I decided to return the jacket.

Terrible zipper. Otherwise great. Too pricey to have a bad zipper that doesn't work!

sized very fittedand slim

This runs VERY SMALL! I'm 5'10", athletic build and normally wear a size Medium (8) in tops. I ordered the Large thinking I'd be able to wear a fleece/sweater underneath. Nope! It barely fit across my arms and chest (and I have a small chest) with only a denim shirt underneath. It was fine length-wise, but going up to an XL would mean the rest of the coat would be too big.

This jacket looks great, HOWEVER, the zipper is not functional. The zipper works about 1 out of 10 tries. I had multiple adults try to zip from multiple angles trying to find the sweet spot, but it doesn't exist. I'm so disappointed because I love the color, weight, warmth, and cut of the jacket so much.

I really wanted to love this jacket. It was well made, light weight and warm. The color was exactly what I wanted, and the fit was perfect. However, it smelled AWFUL, especially in rainy damp weather. It had the smell of dirty duck hair. The odor was so bad and strong that I had to take it off. I thought about washing it but I wouldn't be able to return it if the terrible smell continue to linger. There was one review complaining the foul odor but I didn't want to believe it. Now that I experienced it myself, I wish I listened to her. Columbia, please do something about the quality control of this jacket. Thank you

5’7 and 130 pounds and a medium fit well with a shirt underneath. Nice slim fit (no bell shape). Biggest issue is the zipper! Sticks at the bottom and it’s impossible to zip up! Sending it back!

The fit of this coat is great. I love how long the coat is. It is also really warm. I have bought multiple Columbia coats with the reflective inside and I love them. I'm giving this a single star however because every time I've worn it outside, upon coming inside the coat smells awful. Like a wet dog. I have washed it multiple times and the smell will fade but after being back in the cold it starts to smells again. My husband has even noticed how awful it is. I thought it would fade so I kept it and am now disappointed that I spent so much on a coat that I will no longer wear. I wish there was a way for the smell to go away so I could enjoy the coat.
