Overall the shoes seemed great--size was spot on using the Brannock Device measurements (you can convert inches or cm online), fit was fine, colors were good, heel has plenty of stability and felt locked in place in a good way. What really annoyed me was how much the shoe assisted me while walking. To break this down a bit, the shoes have a ridged midsole (could be another part of the shoe) that "guides" my foot forward when I take a step, which I found to be really annoying. The experience was what I'd imagine walking with Skechers shape-ups or ProStretch calf stretcher on my feet would be like. I'm sure that's a much desired feature for other people on mile 25+ of a long/difficult hike, but I hate that sort of thing, thus returning the shoes.

I've been wearing Danner boots for thirty years, and I am a big fan. I loved the style of this shoe, but it is too tight, and it is unfortunate that Zappos does not carry them in Wide-EE, because Danner makes them in that width. It makes me sad to return them, but they are too tight.

I like the shoe overall, but I'm disappointed with the sole. After only a few times wearing these shoes part of the sole tore away from cushion (see the attached picture). I have had to glue it back together several times, but it continues to separate from the cushion.

Love this pair. I was a bit concern given how many reviews stated that the shoe was narrow, but I didn't experience that. They fit perfect. They are a little snug, but nothing major. Love how comfortable they are and how they fit.

These shoes fit GREAT straight out of the box. Very comfortable and good looking! I'll by again.

I am normally a 9.5 D. These shoes are too narrow in the mid-foot. I like the support and the style, but unfortunately I have to return them.

Is super nice tennis shoes

So far so good. I’ve had them for about a week and they are very comfortable and sturdy. The style works anywhere you’d wear a sneaker. They don’t look clunky at all. As for waterproof I’ve worn them in wet grass and they’ve been fine.

Great hiking shoes. Could possibly be the most comfortable shoes I've owned.

Never wore Danner before and very pleased. Shoe is on narrow side for heel and midfoot, but wider in forefoot, and fits me well. Sole is great combination of strength with a little flexibility. You can walk on rocky trails without bone bruises with this shoe. Shoe comes a little higher on foot, so gives some ankle support. Tighten when hiking, got to loosen when sitting.
