The new Clifton7 has an elastic band attached to the tongue of the shoe and I wear an ASO brace to keep walking and my foot wouldn't fit in the shoe .... I was very very disappointed because I've been wearing Cliftons for a long time. Iam hoping the Bondi will work for me

I've been using Hoka Cliftons for close to 10 years and the new Clifton 7s I have found are much narrower in forefoot compared to older models. I suffered extreme pain in the forefoot and even cut some holes in shoe to allow the forefoot to spread out better. I'm going to give it one more try and I just ordered the Clifton 7 again in same size 11 but this time I'll try the WIDE version. Hopefully this fixes the problem....

I use this product for my daily trainers. I gave them ample time to be broken in. This shoe is not for me. Since buying them I had shin issues and blister problems on the inside of my arch. Would not recommend.

Once again you have created a shoe that has laces that are way too long. This forces me to double or triple knot them. It then can be very difficult to undo these when running in cold weather where your hands are cold and it's difficult to manipulate small objects like knots, etc. Please, please, please try harder to get this right. It's not that difficult. You got it right for the Clifton 6, but for some reason the Clifton 7 proved to be too difficult.

Unfortunately, despite my deep appreciation for the name and its meaning, I found the soles to be uncomfortable with significant ridges that stuck up into my foot.

This is the first pair of running shoes where my feet broke apart during a 4 mile inaugural run. I’ve never had to break in running shoes before and I’m not gonna start now, so I just returned them. The toebox is much wider than the mid foot, and it can cause weird slipping through your stride

These do not fit the same as the Clifton 6 - they are too narrow! I got these to replace my third pair of Clifton 6. I had to return them because I literally cannot wear them to run in, my toes go numb. Do not get these thinking they are the same, they are not! Why Hoka, why do you do this??? You did the exact same thing with the Speedgoat 3 -- it was waaaay narrower than the Speedgoat 2 and nobody could wear them anymore. Now the SG 4 is out, guess what: It's back to the way it was because people complained and didn't buy them. Same dumb thing here. Too narrow, not anywhere close to the Clifton 6.

Nice shoe but sizing is not predictable. I usually order a 8.5 wide Brooks shoe . This Hoka said sizing was consistent on your site but it wasn't. Ordered half size smaller and still too big. I give up.

The shoes are too tight across the front behind the toes. Me son tried them on and they were ok for him so we kept them. Tried to by other models but many are out is stock

I have been a Clifton fan since the 2. Some generations are better and some are worse. The Clifton 6 was my favorite as it had everything going for it. The 7 is very similar EXCEPT for the new gusset tongue and the super narrow shape over the arch of your foot. It's gotten so bad while running I cut the gussets attached to the tongue to give me more room in the shoe. The toe box is also smaller. It's made for a painful experience overall. I've put 80 miles into them. So I've given them plenty of time to "break in". Overall I'm super disappointed with the 7. It is comfortable under the foot however being so much more narrow really ruined it for me and gave me major pains on runs longer than 4-5 miles.

this is my 10th or 12th pair and these definitely run a half size bigger than all the other models

Disappointed....after running twice with these shoes I have returned them. Replaced them with the Bondi 6. I have had several pair of Bondi 6 and they are far superior to the Clifton.

The show has cushion and felt well, but I have heal blisters first time in 20 years. Bad blister after 7-8 miles

I need a wide shoe (2e or 4e). The Clifton 6 fit perfectly. One the 7, the lightweight mesh gusset for the tongue reduced the width and hurt my feet. I liked the ride and feel. I need a wider shoe.

This being my first Hoka's, after hearing so much praise about them, I honestly was a bit let down. I came from Asics mostly for walking/running shoes in the past decade, some Altras and various other shoes over the years. These shoes felt a bit narrow to me compared in size to most other shoes, but I tend to get a wide size. In these I think I would've been a double wide (if it were available), to avoid getting a shoe way too long. I also have a slight supination in my left foot that I really didn't know about most of my life, only two pair of shoes have ever made it obvious. These being one. It created a couple hot spots on the bottom outside of my foot that while it hasn't blistered yet (~50mi on the shoes) it's still uncomfortable. I think this shoe just more poorly supports that foot issue. In addition these really weren't 'that' comfortable for just walking/jogging/etc, something where you don't quite need a running shoe to give you a little extra spring. My Asics with ~1000mi on them, that clearly died a long time ago, are still more comfortable somehow. So basically, I think it's probably a very average shoe in most regards, a 2.5/5.0 rating would've been fair, and considering how much everyone loves them, I just felt disappointed. I will say on the plus side, these shoes are very lightweight, which that within itself adds some comfort. An ounce or two off each foot really makes a big difference over a long run. Also they have a noticeable roll/shape to them that makes a positive difference in your stride as well. They also seem well constructed, I don't see anything that would make me question their longevity or quality. If you're a Hoka fan and they work for your foot and usage, it's probably a fine shoe.

I've worn many pairs of Hoka's and unfortunately, these were not comfortable in the arch. There was a very limited selection of all white shoes in my size and I bought the one pair that happened to be on saleand were non refundable.

For some reason the shoe does not provide support. This is the second pair I've owned and they break down almost immediately. I'm better off with $20 flip flops than these expensive shoes.

There's something in these shoes that make my right heel and side of the foot hurt after running on them for around 100 miles. It happened to me with 2 pairs, not just one. I am rotating with New Balance 880, Nike Pegasus 36, Saucony Kinvara 11 and Saucony Endorphin Speed and t don't get any foot pain from any other shoe - just these Clifton 7's. Twice. Never again.

I was very disappointed in the shoe. After hearing about them they did not provide me the comfort and stability that was advertised.

Sizing and durability big complaint. Ordered my true size, was giant. And after one run the bottoms were peeling apart.

I work on concrete. These shoes provide no comfort at all. My feet constantly ache wearing these even after adding inserts in a desperare attempt to help with the cushioning. I have owned several pairs of Hoka shoes and have been pleased in the past...no longer.

The wide width was not wide. It was like a regular width in any other brand.
