The shoe itself felt pretty good. They have strip across the top that doesn't have any "give", so if you have a wide foot, they're definitely not great for that. They're very lightweight and the bottoms have good support. However... In the first hour of wearing them (during an Orange Theory class), they absolutely destroyed my heels. As in had to get off the treadmill to get band aids from the front desk and that still didn't help kind of bad. I haven't ever had this happen with the numerous other brands of shoes I've tried, so for that alone, I can't recommend this style. The heel is very rigid without the cushioning most other styles offer.

I was so excited to try these out, but after I put both shoes on and thought I was going for a run, I realized the shoes were rubbing on my ankle bone. So unfortunately have to return.

I primarily do HIIT workouts about 5x a week but I like to run occasionally as well. I was looking for a shoe that is versatile for both types of workouts. Right out of the box, these felt awesome. Super lightweight, great materials and high quality. Fit true to size. I tried them for a 90 minute HIIT session that included sprints as well as box jumps, weights etc. and the cloud X exceeded my expectations. I felt stable when lifting and jumping and sprinting/running felt amazing. Highly recommend. I have used Nike Metcons for years but always had some gripes when it comes to durability and comfort doing certain types of workouts. This is my new favorite shoe.

When I first tried on these shoes, I thought there was no way these would work because they had a different walking action than the Asics that I normally wear. I actually packed them up and started the return process, but instead of returning them, I decided to take Zappos up on their 30 day return policy and oh, my gosh, I am so glad I did. These are rock star shoes! I am 59 (soon to be 60), carrying extra weight and this week, because of these shoes, I was able to start running again which I have been unable to do for 5 years due to foot pain. I am going to get my health and weight back and my Cloud shoes will play a big part in that! One side note, they run EXTREMELY narrow so keep that in mind when ordering.

These are my go-to shoes! I wear them for HIIT-style workouts, and they offer the perfect amount of support. If you have high arches, I highly recommend purchasing inserts for these shoes -- they make a huge difference. In terms of running, the On Cloud Xs are great for short intervals; however, I would not recommend them for distance runs. Overall, these shoes are stylish, supportive, and all around awesome.

Love love the color combination. These are probably the lightest pair of shoes I’ve owned. It is literally like walking on a cloud. (Hehe)

I hope people see my review so they understand before purchasing that this shoe is specifically designed for WEIGHT LIGHTING, HITT TRAINING and GYM WORKOUTS. This is NOT a shoe designed for medium to long distance running. If you're lucky, you can get away with running in these shoes for 1-3 miles without scraping the skin off your ankles, if it's a flat road. Please only purchase if you're buying the Cloud X for purposes above. If you're interested in a running shoe from ON, take a look at Cloud Flow, Cloud Stratus or any other shoe catered for road or trail running. Their website can tell you the different uses for each type of shoe. Thought I'd share this so other women don't waste their money and get the correct shoe for their exercise needs

My trainer recommended these to the group so I thought "why not, she should know what she is talking about" I made the purchase and LOVE the fit of this shoe... just like I had hoped. The fit is very nice with enough support to get me through STRENGTH days AND CARDIO days. I love this shoe and would buy it again in a heartbeat!

I've been really hesitant to replace my workout shoes. I've tried several brands and shoes over the past 2-3 years and kept going back to my "tried and true" ones. I use them for walking, elliptical and personal training sessions involving weights and lots of lunges, squats, etc. I've dealt with foot issues (plantar fasciitis), a broken bone in my foot and they remained as the only shoes that didn't hurt after wearing for a couple of hours or so. Additionally, I really didn't want to spend this kind of $$ on sneakers but I finally bit the bullet and ordered a pair of Cloud X. They are WONDERFUL. I can wear them for all of the activities listed above with really solid support. I like that they aren't super narrow at the toe but they don't look huge on my feet either. SO comfortable I can wear them all day. Daresay, I even look somewhat stylish for an old lady! I am super happy with my purchase. I'm glad I listened to the 80% or so who said it was a true to size fit. I wear an 8.5 and that's what I ordered - perfect fit. Super lightweight but great stability with the sole and overall fit really snug (but not too snug) across the top of my foot. I highly recommend!

I’m so impressed with the way these shoes fit. I have trouble finding shoes that fit my foot and feel amazing. I’m so happy with them I’m going to order another pair.

In love with my new on shoes!! They are so lightweight and comfortable… all the reviews about it rubbing their heels must be wearing the wrong socks. I wear Falke Running socks and they are high enough but still no show. Check out the RU5 or RU4 they are thin enough for this lightweight shoe.

I really wanted to love these shoes, but as other reviewers have said, it rubbed my ankles wrong and was very uncomfortable around the ankles. I think it is the cut of the shoe. Compared to my On Running shoes and my other workout shoes, the Cloud X comes up the ankle a little higher, maybe if you wore crew socks it would be ok? Definitely, could feel the shoe rubbing along the ankles with no-show socks. Other than the discomfort around the ankles, I felt they would have provided good support for my high arches and would have been good for HIIT type workouts. I did order a half-size up. Usually a 9, but the 9 1/2 was a better fit.

Love these! I have small (5.5), narrow feet & these hug my feet like a shoe should. The cushioning on heel strike is very comfy. I use them mostly for standing all day at my job-which sometimes requires some jogging & lifting. Great cross training shoe.

These shoes are VERY narrow which is perfect for my narrow foot. The first walk in them was interesting. It's definitely a different type of walking action than the ASICS that I've worn for 20 years, but after 3 long walks, I really like them. They are not as stable as other shoes but they are super light-weight.

Zappos picked my size due to past purchases. I’m anywhere between an 8 or 8.5 but the 8 fit perfectly. Shoe is light as a feather and very comfortable.

Love these shoes, I ended up returning the silver/almond and getting the white. They are more on trend. They are perfect for my HIIT workouts - lots of support front and back and side to side. I usually size up in athletic shoes but these fit my true size 6.5 and had a wide toe box that fit great.

Cute shoes. However The sides are way too high and rub the inside and outside of my ankles. Painful. Cushioned well but what does it matter if I can’t walk in them. I heard so many amazing things about these shoes and desperately needed some good workout shoes. I was really excited to try them. I’m super disappointed. Back to the drawing board.

Very comfortable. I have bunions and foot pain and these are best I’ve worn. I appreciate that the logo is not prominent so I don’t feel like a walking advertisement. I bought these to walk long distances comfortably NYC.

Fit great and pretty good arch support for my high arches. Ran outside in them and they were not as cushy as Hoka's, just a bit stiffer. Only complaint is the rocks that can get stuck on the bottom of the shoe(just gotta check that before I walk inside on the floor). Overall, like them a lot. Style is on point and really good looking

Very lightweight and I like the way they look. The only issue I have is that I did get a blister above my right heel from the rubbing. Not sure if the shoes need to break in but was disappointed about that. True to size. I wear size 10 and they fit great. I have wide feet but they felt comfortable besides the rubbing on the back of my foot!

I liked the look of these shoes. Unfortunately, like others have said, these shoes painfully rubbed my ankles. At first, I tried to wear them thinking that the shoes would be broken in and rub less as I wore them. That was a huge mistake. I wore them out for a day and I came home with open sores on the back of both by ankles. I have narrow feet and legs. It’s been over a week since I wore them in my ankles are still in pain.

Nothing special. Not especially squishy comfortable. Felt unstable. Material looked cheap. I am a normal size 9. Ate my socks when I walked around a moment to see if they fit. Plus they looked odd. Returning. That said, I LOVE ZAPPOS!!

For narrow feet like me, cloud X is very comfortable. However I did size up half size from regular 6.5 to 7 for a better comfy fit, which I think feels just right for me. I don’t run. So i wear cloud X mainly for walking and doing Zumba. I already own the black and white one. This color is perfect for spring and summer .

Had to order a 1/2 larger. Now PERFECT!!!! I don’t want to take them off. Best shoes ever worn

Love them, but first time trying these running shoes and they are not as cushiony as others, so getting used to that. Love how they look
