I use these shoes and also the Phantoms for road running. I've tried Brooks, Hokas, Asics , Nike and many other brands the last 10 years. These shoes are amazing! Gives me enough room in the toe box that allow my feet to swell but not hurt because the shoes are too tight. Also just enough stability and minimalistic enough to feel the road and respond. I won't be leaving Topos, they are my new shoe.

Outstanding shoe. Fits true to size, nice wide toe box and after long runs legs feel fresh. You can really feel the shoe giving you a push off the ground, cant wait til my next IM.

Just got these and took them out for a short run. Have been really excited to try these coming off an injury and needing a little more stability under my foot and hoping that the addition of the Plantar Flexion Stabilizer would help and am happy to say that this shoe has the perfect amount of cushion and firmness under foot that I was looking for. Have run in a couple other styles of Topo and have a feeling this will quickly become my favorite.

What even is this shoe? I would say this shoe would fit in the speed day category. It's a racing shoe, tempo trainer, and just all around fast shoe. Why is it fast? Be cause you are, you silly goose. Well, that and the addition of the elastomer plate in the midsole. This shoe runs on the firm side, but with the addition of zip foam you can easily wear it comfortably for a marathon. For best results, make sure to stride out a bit and have some good hip flexibility to obtain the full potential of the elastomer plate. I ran in them at the NYC Marathon and got a huge PR. I trained well, but I know this shoe helped a bit. Make sure your legs are ready and strong enough for the speed. Is this the new trend in running shoes? Carbon plate, elastomer plate... what's next? Hopefully more PRs! Let's go!!! I am a Topo Athletic Ambassador.

Good idea. But the tongue is thin and rigid and hurt my feet at the edge. Returned.

I usually use very minimalist shoes, but I wanted 1 pair of something cushier that still has a wide toe box and minimal drop. These have been great for me.

Love the wide toe box and snug heel as I have a severe bunion on one foot as well as hammertoes and mild bunion on the other foot, and narrow feet. Very comfortable for walking at work. I do not like the salmon color but they were half-off, so that I did like. Thanks

The toes box is great. Price is a little prohibitive, but if they last for 300-400 miles, it's worth it.

Been running in HOKA's and more plush shoes for a while due to carrying extra weight for some time. Now that I am down to my goal weight, this shoe was my first branch into a more responsive shoe and it was a great choice. This shoe has an excellent toe box, like most all Topo's, but this one felt faster. Would totally buy this shoe again and am glad to have found it.

I decided to give Topo a try after the other 0-drop shoe brand redesigned my favorite shoe and made it unwearable. I wish I hadn't waited so long. I cant remember ever having such a comfortable 1st run in new shoes. The toe box is roomy and the cushions is not too much or too little. I love them. My only complaint is why cant Topo give the shoe a full rubber sole like all the mainstream brands my wife uses. I can already see the mid-sole foam being worn.

I was a big fan of terraventure 2. But the terraventure 3 is amazing. As a disabled hiker I have had multiple brain surgeries, multiple spine fusions and refusions, to many knee operations. Topo has changed my life. I am doing more that I have in years from road walking to hiking. My feet feel good these really help my knees, back and whole spine. I always tell people if Altra and hoka one one had a baby topo is it. Great upgrade. Thanks as always topo.

Used this shoe for the first lap of an ultra (about 30 ish miles). Loved how responsive and comfortable it was! The fit is definitely true to size. I took these out on trails that were full of roots and rocks with 11k feet of elevation. Had zero issues with traction or fatigue. My only complaints were possible lateral stability and feeling some of the rocks. A rock plate may help here, but then that would add weight. Great job!

I have been running in the Ultraventure Pro for all of my trail runs and now that I have the MTN Racer 2, I reserve the UV Pro for my longest trail runs. The MTN Racer 2 is perfect for everything else. Its more nimble and runs well on buffed out trails but is rugged enough for the more technical stuff. I sized down to a 9 but could probably have stuck with a 9.5, even though the 9.5 in the UV Pro is a tad long. This shoes checks all the boxes: wide toe box, moderate drop, rugged and light.

Really nice shoe, didn't care for v1 as that shoe was too firm, ran short lengthwise, and didn't care for the warm upper material. Those issues have been addressed in this shoe. The cushioning is really nice, however at times I did feel some rocks with the loss of rock plate in this model. The tongue may be a bit thin for some. Periodically noticed some small debris entering the shoe right underneath the ankle area. Really nice update, upper is sooo much nicer than the original. Highly recommend.

So an obvious draw to Topos is the toe box. Often over looked or not mentioned is they are extremely breathable. I am use to wearing Hokas so the Topos don't feel quite as cushy. Subsequently, they feel much much more nimble, especially with the vibram outsole. These are my go to shoes for short to mid mileage hikes or anything technical. I will be a returning customer.
