I was prepared not to like these shoes thinking they would be to bulky and make my feet look huge or too masculine or too much like I was off to work construction (nothing wrong with that kind of work but I didn't want to look like that was where I was heading when I was out for a hike w my dog). However, when I tentatively opened the shoe box to peek inside - I was overjoyed with what I found. At last...the perfect combination of rugged and stylish! I loved the colors (white, black and yellow!)...and Ioved the rugged lug soul that wraps around the back of the heel and over the toes. But what I really liked...was the comfort from the moment I tried them on. Now I have to say there is a sort of weird 'strap' for lack of anything else to call it that wraps the sides of the shoe and I thought it was an after thought or an add on to keep the overly wide shoe in place and that it would bother the wearer and...would wear out and be more of a problem than an asset. However, what I found was that the elastic strap in there that hugs the outer edge on one side of my foot and the insoul on the other side of the foot...actually is like a snug 'hug' and it keeps the shoe snugged up to my foot in a way that makes it feel secure and "grippy" as I walk around the park or out on a trail...then I find myself wearing them the rest of the day forgetting to take them off ...when normally my feet would be sweaty and aching and begging for flip-flops or no shoes after a hike. I've had them for about a month and I wear them alot! So far, although still young, they look great and I still love em'. They are more expensive then I wanted to pay but I can see they will become my long time favorites and I'm hoping they remain on my feet for years to come! We do alot of hiking during Covid as it keeps us in fresh air and away from people. Highly recommend giving them a try!

Men's sizes are a good idea! Too bad the extra width, EE, was not available for women with really wide feet!

I love these shoes. They are impressive...well made and sturdy, and the Star White is really striking in appearance. I so wanted to keep them, but my wide forefoot is always an issue. This shoe fit perfectly except for the toe box which pinched. I tried going up half a size, but the footbed didn't fit my foot well. Sad to return them...

These were a nice pair of shoes, but it didn't have a lot of support. My feet still hurt.

I absolutely LOVE these shoes!!! Fantastic tread and so unique. Super comfortable.

I love these shoes. Why? Cuz they are wide enough for my bunion big toe. 7.5 to equal a 9 womenswear. I put in 2 inserts for arches, yet the shoe itself has real nice arch support. I am so comfortable walking and standing. Helps my hips n pelvis. They are skid proof which keeps me safe as I give hospice patients showers. My toes are protected. Don’t know if it’s a steel toe, but it is sturdy if anything falls on it. 3 stars for style cuz I do not golf and it looks like a golfing shoe. Wanted an all white, but they don’t make this shoe in all white. Kind of a heavy shoe, but doesn’t matter. My flat foot and low arch foot are very supported in this shoe. Gives me height too! I’m 5 ft, but I feel tall and beautiful wit this arch support. Bought the black ones 2 yrs ago and it seems these. Mens 7.5 are a lil bigger. These shoes make me very happy. Happy happy

Wow! I have the worst bunions in the world and I’m always looking for WIDE toe box shoes. I thought I might try buying a men’s shoe because I thought they would be wider. These Caterpillar Intruders were available in smaller sizes , which you can’t always find. I usually take a 7 or 7.5 in women’s shoes, so I took a chance on a men’s size 6. The minute I put them on I was thrilled. The width was perfect and the shoe is so comfortable I’m stunned. And extremely happy! I’ll be looking for more like this soon!

More narrow than advertised

I'd call these sneakers although they are much like hiking sneaker boot. Incredible tread and comfortable fit. I have foot problems and there is excellent foot bed with wonderful arch support.

Another great pair of shoes, my coworkers loved these shoes, got ask all the time “where did I get these shoes.” They never hurt my feet from day one, held up for the long haul still wearing wearing them in 2023, had them since 2021. Loving them!!!!

These are better than expected. Comfortable with the arch, cups around the whole ankle for excellent ankle control.

I need wide shoes and these are wide. I need good tread for hiking and the tread is great. I like the look of the shoe. I haven’t had them too long so I don’t know how easily they clean.

Although a tad heavy, they are very comfortable sneakers. Gives me good foot support and they cleaned up nicely when I used a bit of laundry detergent and a hand brush.

Love this shoe. It's got great arch support, feels like I could walk everywhere, go to the gym, travel and it would be the go to shoe for everything. I think I'm keeping these! xoxox

I ordered a size 11 on my first order because that it is my comfortable size, however, shoes appeared to be bigger size than 11. Shoes looks huge than 11and they were too loose . So I decided to return them and I ordered 1/2 size down ( 10 1/2), unfortunately, 10 1/2 was too short my toes were clenched when walking

Excellent shoes, NO very comfort but very nice stylish shoes

Because I like them so much, I’m back for a second pair. As always with closed-toe shoes, I pull out the included insoles and replace them with the Spenco brand for better arch support. These have great traction on our mountain property, as well as and out on the paved roads. Recommendation: This tread / fit would be great in slip-on ankle snow-boot style!

Love this shoe! I hope you get more color options of the Intruder shoe. Having only 4 out of 13 color options available is shocking!! I would definitely buy more of these!!!

Good looking, well made, high quality shoes for reasonable price.

I absolutely love this shoe! Comfortable and easy to slip on. My foot is snug enough that it does not sip off. After 11 work shifts the pressure points of the seams on shoe arches but I've only worn them 4 x and expect this will get better as they are broke in. If buy another pair in a different color if available because I love the shoe.

These were awesome shoes but too narrow. I really liked them but had to return them...boo.
