I bought this bag 3 years ago right before covid at the store in SF/Union Sq. I've traveled around the world with this bag and it's still working great as a daily gym bag. The strap at the top is perfect for holding my basketball shoes so that I can put my post-basketball slippers in the dirty clothes/shoe pocket. I take this bag weekly to the gym and caries all my gear for my basketball league games.
The velcro is great to customize with patches. It's a great way to show some pride in where you come from or what you hold dear.
There is so much utility in this bag! I used the shoulder strap loop in the front to hold a hanger for my dress suit as I've taken this bag while traveling for a destination wedding. It was so convenient having the dress suit hang from the bag freeing up my hands at the airport and getting around at my destination.
I keep finding uses for this amazing bag. The only downside i've come across is that i've lost some of the zipper strings with such heavy use.

This bag is an excellent alternative to the base camp for someone who wants a little more structure. The separate shoe compartment, laptop sleeve, and more robust straps make this a perfect travel bag. It just feels sturdy and functional.

Perfect bag to use for a weekend get away. Put it on your back and walk right on the plane with no extra carry on fees. Fit 5 different outfits and an extra pair of shoes in it. Definitely worth the money

I use this bag when I travel. It holds everything I need like my laptop, clothes, shoes, etc. wish there was a small pocket for my electronics cables and stuff but other than that it's a nice bag. I like the top zipper or the body zipper to access my stuff instead of digging through everything. Overall a great and stylish bag.

I feel compelled to write a review on this bag. My brother has one and I instantly wanted it. The materials used feel solid and built to last. I installed some black molle clips, black locking carabiners and other attachments.

Awesome bag does everything it promises and looks cool while doing it. Would buy again and again, this bag replaces all my other bags. My only issue was my bag did not come with patch show in picture. Thought this was a mistake called customer service talked to an associate, then manager about it. Was informed that these bags do not come with a patch and that the picture was wrong. Even though the tag attached to the bag says comes with north face velcro patches. Apparently there customer servi e argues that they dont. Was told couldnt buy a patch because they dont have any. That was the only disappointment.

I wanted a bag that gave me the room to store my training gear that was easier to commute with. I primarily use it to store my training gear for the gym but I can already see myself using this bag for all different situations! I'm very impressed with it. Some pockets or a way to keep things a bit more organized inside the bag would be a great addition though.

Incredible product for anyone who needs a do-it-all bag to take from the office to the crag. I love that I can carry my climbing shoes separately from my gear AND laptop. The separate laptop compartment is incredibly well thought out, as is the secondary compartment for your wallet and keys. The rest of the bag is basically a bucket style duffel type storage compartment that holds an incredible amount of gear. The straps and backing are comfortable and the size is perfect. I'm glad I went with the small (even on a big guy like me, this bag is big). Another plus for this bag is that it's big enough to overload if needed, yet still meets carry on requirements.

I purchased and use this bag for work and to carry my workout clothes/shoes to go running after the 9 to 5. This bag is super roomy and can fit a lot of materials such as books, laptop (in the separate sleeve pocket), clothes, shoes (in the bottom compartment), etc. What I love about this bag is that it's an all-in-one bag that you can use for work, commuting, and travel. The only thing I wish this bag had was a few more interior pockets. Otherwise, it's a great bag for the price!

Its a very good backpack. I really like the design and that's so roomy. You can use it as normal backpack or duffle back wha is good for me because I'll use it primarily for sports.

Wow. I bought this looking for a backpack that could fit everything I needed in my film and theatre work. I wanted something that could fit everything (including gear I carry, extra clothes, laptop, etc.) and was durable and waterproof. Considering "waterproof" in North Face standards is "can be dunked underwater", this bag being water resistant to survive rain or snow was perfect.
I did pre-measurements before ordering, and I knew it'd be slightly bigger than the backpack I was using before. Right out of the box, this bag was still a touch bigger than I expected. Granted, I'm a woman who is 5'4", so as a smaller person this bag looks much bigger than an average backpack. However, I knew that in the work environments I'm often in A) I won't care about it looking a bit bigger, B) I'll probably get used to the size, and C) this bag would be perfect in terms of practicality. It may not be an everyday "casual" backpack, since it is fairly big in size (and it looks even bigger on me.)
Some of my favourite things about this bag is that it opens from the top and from the side duffel-bag-style. So when I have more gear and tools in film, the duffel bag opening is perfect; in theatre work where it's more paperwork and office-like supplies, the top loading option like a regular backpack is perfect. I LOVE the laptop sleeve that is against where my back is; subtle, cool design.
A dream would be if this bag came with or had the option of adding long straps to make it become a duffel bag. Another thing that'd make this bag even more perfect than it already is is to potentially have options to somehow add compartments in the bag.
Other than that I'm so very happy with this bag. It's totally worth the money.
