I walk about 2 miles daily. Day 9 and the bottom of the shoes are falling apart. I’m so bummed because these shoes are stylish and comfy, but are already disintegrating. Not worth the $100. New Balance missed the mark on testing these.

I hesitated prior to ordering because there were zero reviews ... which are sometimes ambiguous at best. Long story short ... I pronate slightly ... this design actually “forces” a moderate - to - significant pronation which, in turn, forces the top edge of the shoe to dig into my inner ankles. As I write this, my feet are propped up and I can barely wait to finish this review so I can remove the shoes. I feel “challenged” by my many order “failures” ... I shall prevail. Zappo’s Customer Care is stellar and I have no desire to go into a store during the pandemic. Stay Healthy & wash your hands! :)

I love LOVE 890! What sold me is the color! I am so sick of women’s running shoes in purple and orange!! Ugh! This hot neon yellow is just so much fun! I usually buy 860 but I thought I’d try a neutral show for running. The 890 did not disappoint- right out of the box running. I usually wear a 8 in running shoes and 7.5 in non running. 8 fit perfectly.

I love the color! I usually wear a stability shoe, but I wanted to try a neutral. I like these shoes so far - I usually wear 860 NB ;)

The fit and comfort are good so far. Just got the shoe and tried it out once. I went up 1/2 size from an 8 1/2 to a 9 because I have a bunion on my right big toe and wanted to make accomodations for it. I am a runner and run about 6 miles on Saturday and Sundays.

I am a daily runner and previous competitive runner; the tongue of the shoe is TOO short and the shoe laces dig into the top of my foot but has gotten better after wearing a few times; the extra lateral foam is interesting but hasn't bothered me. Overall a good shoe; but the short tongue is annoying and forefoot foam seems to be wearing quickly

I love the feel of these shoes, but the tread on the sole is already worn down to nothing. I have had the shoes for a month or so a run 30 ish miles in them. I've never worn down the soles like this in any other shoe. I can keep using the shoe for other fitness, but I don't feel confident about wearing it if there is a chance I'm going to slip. I have been a fan of the 890 for many years but this version is a disappointment.

I have had this running shoe for about 2 weeks. I run on the weekends so have taken it for a spin. It feels comfortable to my feet and my achilles tendons are no longer bothering me. My previous shoes had worn out and my achilles tendons were letting me know it was time for new running shoes. The price was a good deal. I hope the shoes last as long as my other ones (Saucony).

Had to return, insoles were two different sizes, ironic, for the "insole" company, then the 30% discount was gone. Needless to say, that was a downer, ended up purchasing elsewhere, great shoe with full instep support. Lock down is good, fit & color ways are great. We all know about covid, stay safe, Find a better way to improve turn around times. Thanks.

True to size and sturdy heel lock. Getting creases in the foam after about 20 miles of running, which seem more cosmetic than material failure.

I run in these- road and light trail. Little to no break in required. Some cushion but not squishy. I also run in Altra so am accustomed to a flat/neutral shoe. These provide a bit more structure for when my tired feet need it. I love the way NB fit my feet- toe box doesn’t cramp my toes.

I've run in 890s for years. I bought the v7 last year and had to shove them to the back of my closet. They were so deconstructed that they were causing me achilles pain. I just couldn't run in them- there was no support and I was obviously doing something funky with my gate because I was so worried about rolling an ankle in them. Seeing the v8 now had a legit heel counter and padding again I decided to give these a try. I've been running in them a few times now with zero pain. The only down side is most of the outsole is ground contact EVA which is already significantly worn down from just a couple weeks of running. Not sure if these will hold up. I really which NB would go back to making at least a few shoes for real runners rather than this market based junk.

I run in the city, 4-5 miles, 2-3 times a week. This shoe is comfortable, lightweight and provides good ankle support. It looks bulky to me, not slim, but I'm used to wearing the Minimus shoes. In contrast, these run much larger. I have a slim foot, but had to get a 9 in the minimus. I got an 8.5 in these and could have gotten an 8. These shoes did solve the problem of feeling pebbles, rocks and sidewalk cracks through the sole of the Minimus shoe.I don't care for the mesh look when underneath is white and shows through. I prefer neutral colored shoes that don't show soiling, but here, the color choices are quite limited.

I'm a big fan of the V6 890. And these V8s are an improvement over the V7. But there's a seam that bothers my right foot. Maybe I just got a bad pair. But it hurts to run in them. its too bad because I like the style and fit and responsiveness when I run.

These are absolutely HORRIBLE. I get shin splints every time I run in them. I am an avid runner and Crossfitter. I used to swear by New Balance. If fact, I loved the V7 of the 890 so much that I bought several pair. The V8 are very light, and feel much more like a racing flat. These have seriously impacted my running. I sincerely regret spending so much money on these.

I've been wearing the 890's since they were introduced. I had to return the 890V8. They are too short.

I bought these after liking the 890 v7. But these are heavy - nothing like the lightweight v7 - and clunky. I felt like I had boats on my feet on the first and last run with them, I wanted the v7 but it has been expired.

Very comfortable and supportive sneaker. I'm a nurse and on my feet all day, these help support my weak Achilles and my feet don't hurt at the end of the day.
