They look like sturdy work boots. But after less than 30 days, the sole is coming off! Separating at the toe. Too bad. I really liked these boots.

Wolverine 1000 Mile boots tend to run a bit narrow. My foot is a D/E width, so typically whether I need a wide depends on the shape of the last. These will break in fine, but have a bit of discomfort just before the ball of the foot, which combine with low arch support (mine are high), means a longer than normal period of suck. Heel cup is decent, not flat like cheaper boots. The good news is these 1000 miles come with a thin Vibram mini lug sole and heel so you don't need to head straight to your shoe repair shop for a fix in the rainy PNW. One additional note: Zappos/Amazon packed these in a plain box without all the normal stuff (shine rag, etc) that come in a factory package - I actually take care of my shoes, so little things like Amazon claiming these are new when repackaged is and taking out accessories is irritating and kind of a rip off. If this wasn't during the current supply chain shortages, I would return them in principle and order the same pair through the Warehouse for a significant discount. Zappos' valuing their customers was much better before Amazon bought them.

$400 boots were received, clearly having been previously worn, damaged, returned, and then sent to me. Not good.
