I’m 5’5” and 118 lbs. My calf is 14 1/2”. I wear an 8 medium and ordered an 8. Most 8M’s fit as did this boot. I have a very high instep and I feel it a little bit on my left (bigger) foot. Otherwise, the boot is very comfortable, especially with the lightly padded insole. The shaft is ample for skinny jeans and possibly even a thicker material. I’m not crazy about the “V” vent at the top back as it almost gives the illusion of being even wider than it is. It doesn’t slouch at the ankle, however over time as the leather softens, I feel that it might. If you have a skinny calf, I don’t think that this boot is for you. I’ve been looking for a long time and am settling a bit; I wish it was a little sleeker looking. You get what you pay for; at this mid range price, it looks like a mid range classic boot. I purchased a tall boot from CH 8 or so years ago that was glorious in every way. I wish they would bring that boot back!

great boot, fits well. I am 5'7" and wear a size 9 to 9-1/2. I went with Zappos suggestion and got a 9 and it fits great. Leather is a bit stiff out of the box but I am sure they will break in quickly. looks nice, I wanted a simple classic boot look with no buckles etc. Would purchase again from Cole Haan

Very comfy. My calves are on the thicker side, but the boot zipped up with no problem or discomfort. The leather wasn't as smooth as I had hoped, but overall, it's a good, practical, and stylish boot.

I expected a lot more comfort out of these boots. I bought them for work (flight attendant), and I had to buy some gel insoles to make my feet happy. There's very little padding and support happening. Since these shoes were originally $300 and the internet identified Cole Haan as a good brand name, I had really high expectations that just weren't met. The heel is also shorter than their description led me to believe, so these aren't technically uniform compliant. I'm still going to wear them, however, because all that being said they're not terrible. They're nearly waterproof and the leather does a good job of protecting my legs from wind and snow. With my inserts, these boots are a lot more comfortable than my heels (Clarks brand) . The leather isn't stiff and the fit around my calves is nice. I'm short, but they still come to a nice height on my legs. The heel height is close enough to my requirements that no one has questioned it. Overall I'm satisfied, but when the time comes I will look elsewhere. Side notes: I'm typically a size 7 or 7 1/2 depending on the brand. With these I'm definitely a 7 1/2. I got the $300 original price by looking directly on the Cole Haan website just before Christmas. Zappos has a different original price currently listed.

Very plain style, which could be fine if that is what you are looking for. Looks like a very classic riding boot. I did not like the style in person. More of the reason I ended up returning them was that they were very uncomfortable.

Bought this for my wife for Christmas and she loves it. It's her go-to boots now. She likes it stylish yet understated. She also says it is comfortable enough to walk around with the whole day.

Pretty boot. Returned due to overall fit

These are adequate boots. They have a cut out notch on the top of the back of the boot that was odd to me. I didn't care for this and am returning on that basis.

Super cute boots. Sad they didn’t fit as my calves were too big and unable to zip up. Wished they had a wide width calf in these.
