I wear an 8 women’s for all Nike gym shoes I’ve ever owned. As for boots I always go one whole size down because they’re typically made of suede & have a round toe. I’m glad I went down a whole size and bought a 7. I can wear them with thin sock definitely not a chunky one. I’m more into the sleek look. It’s definitely more of a slender appeal to it vs UGG which is a chunky & sometimes slouchy look. I cringe at dirty white soles in the bottom of a shoe so I was elated when cougar had a black & grey sole! I’d definitely recommend these. FYI I have an extremely flat foot so arch support isn’t a problem for me.

I love all Cougar boots -- so well made and always waterproof. I was torn about these -- they're very comfy and warm and I appreciate that they're a bit more feminine than Ugg's of a similar style. They fit true to size, and felt just as good slipping in my bare foot as with a heavier sock, and there was plenty of room in the calf to tuck in jeans or leggings. But overall they're still a fairly bulky boot, and I just find it more comfortable to walk in a boot with a lower shaft, so I decided to go with another pair of Cougars instead. I originally ordered the black and was sent the navy blue instead. Zappos corrected that, of course, but the navy blue was really pretty and a nice change from black.

Very comfortable and not too heavy as is the case with many winter boots. I put them on and did not want to take them off. Cozy, too.

These boots are awesome. I love the ease of slipping them on and off with no zipper or laces to deal with. I've always liked the idea of Uggs but hate that they aren't waterproof and don't have "real" soles. These boots solve all those problems. The soles are very grippy without being too heavy. The boots are super warm and waterproof. They aren't super bulky. Very happy with these boots.

I looked at Cougar Boots last year, and didn't pull the plug. I stuck with my tried and true Uggs. This year I decided to try something not as clumsy looking and a little more style and went with this. I originally purchased the Mushroom color which I loved, but exchanged for the black for a sleeker look and not as much of a contrast with my coat. I can't wait to wear them this year, and glad I decided to get out of my comfort zone and try something new! Cougar Boots for the WIN!!!

perfect am returning for different color

These are beautiful and I wanted them the second I pulled them out of the box, however, sadly I couldn't even get my foot in (I have a high arch) the boot to even try them on. So sad--these are beautiful!!! Hard to rate them but had to only give three stars as I couldn't even try them on. Sure hope they work for others--really cute!

I normally wear a size 8 in boots and had to return the size 8 and purchase a size 7. I would say these boots run big. Very comfortable. I like the height and how easy they are to get on. Can't wait to try them in the rain and snow. The tread on the bottom does look like it will have good traction on water surfaces.

I loved the style of this boot except I had a difficult time with putting it on... Could be because I have a slightly higher arch. It fit well otherwise.

I loved these boots but the first time I wore them the side on one boot got scratched and left a very obvious mark. I have other suede winter boots and it takes a lot more than one gentle wearing for them to get marked so I sent them back. For that price I want a hardy boot. Shame because I really liked them.
