Nice boot but too narrow in the toe box. As a comparison, the Quest Prime GTX fit perfect.
I'd also recommend:
Hoka one one.

The fit is too slim, making the boots uncomfortable.

Super light. Traction average or above. I have had them almost a year and they are proving to be durable so far. Before buying, I saw a couple of reviews that indicated they are narrow for some feet. My feet are average width or slightly narrow. The boots fit perfectly on me.

This summer I went on my second trek at Philmont, the Boy Scout high adventure base in the Santa De Cristo mountains of New Mexico. On the second day of a 12 day, 80+ mile trek, my old Vasque boots failed while ascending a plateau. One boot completely lost its sole. I knew they were getting worn but had no idea they were that bad! Philmont is known for it's amazing support staff, and they sent a radio message for new boots. Good news, they got something to me a day later. Bad news (I thought) was that they did not have traditional boots. The closest thing in my size was a pair of Salomon Outward GX which I was told were "more like a trail shoe than a boot". I was more than a little dubious when I heard that - I have arthritis in my left knee and need the support of a sturdy boot. I was also not happy because like many hikers I'm a bit obsessive when it comes to researching gear - and especially boots. I spend hours researching online, talking to people, trying pairs on, and generally driving people around me crazy as I debate the virtues of different boots. I figured I would just have to make these Salomons work for now and then buy something else when I got home. I am very happy to report that these boots exceeded any expectations I had. They not only got me through the rest of that trek, including bagging two mountains and the Tooth of Time, but they've earned a place in my loadout. The boots are much lighter than any I've owned but give me plenty of support, even on the uneven terrain and rocks of New Mexico. They were surprisingly comfortable - I told my crew that I felt like I was wearing tennis shoes. I often have trouble with my toes feeling squeezed by the toebox of boots, but have had no such problems with these. After over a hundred miles of hiking and other events they show very little wear. I seldom write product reviews but I felt I needed to tell you how much I appreciate these boots - they made it possible for me to complete my trek and will part of my gear for years to come.

Bought these two months ago and got used to them during short local hikes. The big test was Mt. St. Helens and they performed great during a 6 hour hike. No pain or discomfort. One issue I had shortly after purchase were the laces. They seemed too chunky and slippery to maintain a tight tie up and often came undone. Replaced the laces and the boots have served me well. Third pair of Salomons over the past dozen years and no disappointments.

I haven't worn them out yet but they feel great around the house. I don't think they will take long to break in and they feel like a good weight. I got mine an extra half size big so that I could use them after I get off the slopes in the winter. Even with the extra room I feel really secure in the boot.

Be specific about your likes and dislikes. How was the fit and size? What does the material feel like? How awesome (or not) do you feel wearing them?

Stylish, comfy and work like a dream. Great traction on slippy surfaces and sizing is pretty spot on. Mainly used for heading up onto Dartmoor and exploring the SW Coast path. Been through mud, snow slippery rocks and marsh without any issues. Feet have stayed warm and dry as well.

I have been wearing Salomon shoes for years. This is the first pair that I have bought that fit just right. Other pairs I have tend to shrink over time. If I don't wear them for long they take a few days to break in again. These ones fit the same every time and have not shrunk yet.

I have probably put 50 miles on these. There was almost no break in, and they are by far lighter than any of my other boots. Waterproof enough for all mud and puddles i've come across. I recognize the limitations of the design and it has not been an issue. Comfortable for decently long hikes, i have not replaced or added an insole and may not have to. Fit true to size with reasonable ankle support. I usually wear Danners but these have become my go to for day hikes and overnights.

Been a Salomon fan for awhile now-been wearing Salomon running shoes forever & love them for their traction & support. The hiking boots are top notch as well especially w/Gore-Tex lining keeping your feet dry under any conditions. Very comfortable after short break-in period. Love them & would purchase again when these wear out!

minimal break in period with great traction. fairly light weight for the amount of support you get. I also really like the toe cap protection as it is an area i tend to abuse while hiking. overall i am very impressed with this boot for everything from hiking to light backpacking and moderate weather snow shoeing. if you snow shoe in them they will show wear where the straps hit but that is pretty normal for lighter boots. So far the waterproof ability has been top notch

I've been using these for a year+ now. Daily wear is at my shop and on outdoor adventures between riding. The suspension oil I use in my shop eats laminates up and shoes fall apart fast, these have been durable and maintained a good sole. Highly recommended for those who want a strong casual boot for all activities

Purchased these 6 weeks ago and I have worn them every opportunity possible. I pleased with the comfort, the appearance and the water resistance. This is the first pair of Salomon shoes/boots I have ever owned with hand tie-able laces. I have owned and still do many Solomon Quick-Lace shops, which I have found stellar in quality and staying tied. The Outward boot laces, which are rounded, unfortunately, must be tied in a double knot. Otherwise, they will come untied. I may try purchasing a different type of lace eventually.
