A great boot for uneven terrain. The sole is surprisingly stiff (in a good way) and gives a lot of confidence on rocks and edges. It’s not a mountaineering boot but has good mountaineering qualities. My best all-around boot that I own.

Size and fit are consistent to other Scarpa models. 44.5 is size 11 U.S. This model s an excellent chose for those looking for a lite weight hiker. Out of the box I put them through a hard day and had no problems. They took care of me when I needed it. Considering that they are waterproof they are a great buy.

Feels like a good product with solid workmanship, just way too small and narrow.

I marked "No arch support" because I have been told that I have high arches. So for me, "no arch support". I wish Scarpa made different insoles that could be purchased for low, medium, and high arches. My cycling shoes come with three different arch supports for which I can select the one that suits me best. So I went to the store and bought a set of high-arch insoles and inserted them on top of the insole that came in the boot. I'm good with that, even though it reduces the amount of room over the top of my foot.
I bought these to be light-weight motorcycle boots that I can also use for hiking when our motorcycle trips take us to the mountains. I think they're going to work out great. FIVE STARS for the style. The charcoal with orange stripes make 'em look like motorcycle boots. That and the very light weight were the reasons for my selection of these over the other brands.

I normally wear a men's 11. When I slipped this on out of the box, my toes made contact with the front of the shoe. I didn't even bother lacing them up. Quality looked good.

For the most part, I liked the feel of them from the start. They were light, I feel at least a half size too small, but not so bad that I needed to return them, until... I broke them in for three weeks wearing them everyday/all day until a big hiking trip. Never had any major issues. But on the first day of a 5 day hiking trip, my feet were killing me about 3 miles into the hike. My arches were killing me and the waterproof feature didn't hold true, which lead to wet boots for the rest of the trip. I wanted to like the boots, and probably would if I didn't take them on a major hiking trip, but I will not recommend these for anything outside casual/light hiking use.
I'd also recommend:
I'm going back to my Keens, they seem to still be the best all around boot

Fits very small and feels like wearing a brick! Uncomfortable.
