Their soles are a little big but have really good traction and grip. The support of the whole foot is awesome - really sturdy and secure. These sandal are not going to fail you. Straps are adjustable and secure. A good sand for outdoor activities. I've been looking for a sandal like this for a long time. I'm thinking about a second pair in case they stop making these. Love em.

I had to return my usual size 7 and instead got a size 6, which fits well. This sandal is relatively lightweight for what it offers, has a solid, supportive footbed, a good grip tread bottom, and comfortable, easy to use velco straps. These are trail worthy for moderate hiking.

The buckle on the strap by my ankle was irritating, even though I tried adjusting & readjusting the tightness. I really liked the soles, they were firm, not thin & flimsy. They weren’t a comfortable fit for my feet. I would definitely be willing to try a different style though.

First, as to fit: Unlike other reviewers, I didn't think these ran big at all. My last pair of North Face sandals were a 9, I wear a 9.5 usually, and so I ordered a 9 in these. They fit like a 9. They felt a little wide, but it was hard to tell because they kind of wrap around your feet. They felt substantial. What I didn't like was that my foot slid forward when I took a few steps until my toes were racing over the front edge; the straps didn't keep the shoe in place at all. Not helping was that the shoe material felt slippery and very much like the foam of your typical Crocs shoe (which I despise). Looks like I'll be spending one more summer in my dilapidated old North Face El Rios.
