I bought these shoes to work in. I have always loved my ariat work shoes. Thought I would give hiking boots a try. Just got them so I don't know how long they will hold up but my first impression is they are built strong. I also feel that I am walking on marshmallows. Excited to work a full day in these.

This is the best review i can give without trying out the shoes on trail. They are exactly as described. You pay for top of the line you get top of the line. They are lightweight and comfy with great traction too. They also dont have that awful garbage bag sound that some other waterproof shoes have (gortex). Definitely need a little of a break in but still feel great initially. I tested the water proofness and even tho that spot got cold, i couldnt for sure say that any water got to my socks or feet. They do breathe fairly well too.

I normally wear a women's 9 and can usually wear a men's 7 or 7.5 depending on the manufacturer. With The North Face, I can wear a men's 7 and it fits perfectly. I like the men's boots because they are a little wider and the just feel better because of that little extra width. These are like comfy sneakers and don't feel like the usual hiking boots. The upper is softer and conforms better to my feet and the ankle support is good but not stiff. I haven't had a chance to really put them to heavy trail use yet but I am sure they will work out great. They have great traction of regular surfaces and a little bit if gravel that I have walked on.

Bought a half-size up for winter socks and these fit great. Solid sole, does pretty well in the snow, though I also use ice cleats for anything that could be more ice than snow. A few hot spots on first few outings (which were about 3 miles each), but have broken in quickly. Warm. Have been walking in near zero weather and they don't let the wind in and keep my feet toasty. Styling is meh. Arch support definitely moderate. I would definitely buy again myself and clearly would recommend!

Bought these for my sneaker wearing son for Christmas and he absolutely loves them. Perfect for hiking in the woods or walking through snow since they're waterproof.

Bought these for my brother for NY winters. While we haven't had any heavy snowfall yet he has told me they are comfortable to wear all day and kept he's feet warm and dry during a heavy thunderstorm.

I work in film and do over half a marathon every day on my feet. These boots are the best! Light durable and if you're in the rain they dry in ten minutes from soaking wet. I have used them from middle of summer to two pairs of socks at minus 35 degrees Celsius. The tread will wear off before you have a single problem with anything else. I own four pairs and wouldn't consider using anything else. Buy these boots!

I wear the boots for running around town, walking, hiking. Anytime I feel like I need boots but don't need a heavy boot.I am hopeful that they will be as good in the snow as they are in the rain. Excellent value on the price point as well!

It is a very sturdy pair of shoes, I love them, I got the grey ones with orange and I absolutely love them. I feel I need to soft them up a little bit by going more often to hiking but overall pretty satisfied!
