Excellent for climbing rock & dragging up a mtbike :) , i knew this foot wear was what worked extremely well for me, on my feet. I trust the grip, even my old worn ones still grip. That's why i knew i had to find a New Pair and these are it. I should have bought two. They're Waterproof and with a glove fit that adds confidence when climbing . .....

I have been wearing Merrill's since 2009 and these are the most comfortable pair to date. I would recommend them to all my fellow veterans.

Too everyone who loved the Chameleon 2 and were not impressed with the Chameleon 7, the 2 is back disguised as the new Chameleon 8. Thank you Merrell for giving us what everyone in America was hoping for. I love these shoes. Since 1997 I have owned over 30 pairs of Merrill Chameleons and the 8 doesn't disappoint.

The most comfortable shoe I've ever worn, and I'm 63! Comfortable, durable, and waterproof. Worth the money!

Excellent shoe...only complaint is they are somewhat difficult to get into. At home with a shoehorn available this is not an issue. However, it is a pain when you have to remove the shoes like at a TSA screening point.

I love the look and style of the shoes, but the waterproof version takes a while to break in. These are my second pair and they are well worth the time and money. They are my primary footwear for hiking and traveling.

I want something lighter than a boot but more wet resistant than a tennis shoe when I am working with cattle and doing my chores -- this shoe is perfect !

I do like these shoes very much. I do a combination of trail/gravel road walking. My one complaint is that the are difficult to put on. My suggestion would be more stretching or a larger opening so its not such a struggle to get them on your feet.

Great Slip-on rough and tough shoe. Just a little tight when they first arrived. I did a little work on them and they fit great now.

I love this shoes one of my favorite Model of Merrell. The only thing I find uncomfortable is the stretch part, cause if you have a wide feet, it's not easy to wear, plus in many cases the material inside the stretch area tend to gather in one side.

I've had a similar pair of stretch shoes and wanted them to work but were too narrow.

Have been a long time wearer of the chameleon. Would have been 5 stars but the last couple of pairs have been sub par. Just seem to wear out faster then they used to an I've had the strap on the back fail prematurely. But my love of this style shoe has brought me back for another pair. This is my first water proof chameleon an I got to say they work pretty good. Not 3" of water kind of good but was out in the snow for quite awhile the other day and feet stayed dry and warm.

Only drawback I have on the chameleon is the sock. Struggled to put foot through, however once through the sock , the fit was good. Very comfortable. Went through Rocky Mountain National park without issues.

I've owned mine for about a year. I typically wear a 13-14 depending on the shoe model. I bought a pair of 14s and they seemed comfortable. After wearing them for a few hours I noticed that the side of my big toes were getting sore(on the outside where they came in contact with the shoe). Since they can't be returned once they're worn, I wear them when I know they will be for a relatively short time(less than two hours). I just bought a new pair of 15s, and I am returning those. The laces on the 15s are freakishly long. There is no way to neatly tuck them away. I just ordered some Moab 2 Ventilators and since I already have a pair of Moab 2 Mids goretex I'm certain they will be perfect. I would love to see Merrells available in narrow width.

Great for playing DiscGolf. Waterproof, breathable, awesome traction
I've played about twelve (18 pin)rounds and they are holding up to the abuse of water, mud and trees.

Solid choice for a mix of outdoor activities. No break-in period. Good traction and effective waterproofing. Weight is in the rear of shoe. A diet of a few ounces would make this shoe perfect.
