Love Merrills, and these shoes are just as awesome as all my other pairs. What I found interesting is that the “gasket” that fits around the ankle seemed a pain when putting on the shoe, but when hiking through wet muck this gasket kept the show from getting sucked off my foot. Well done again, folks!

One of my customers recommended these shoes to me. They are awesome! Right out of the box they are one of the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever worn. The only problem was they run a little small. Usually wear an 11.5. Returned them for a 12 and no problem! Will definitely be ordering more.

They run small. Usually I am a 10.5 but had to return for 11. They are also narrow, but they don’t come wide.

This was my third pair of Merrell Chameleon Stretch shoes. I love the fact that they fit snuggly and I can just slip them on, but why did they have to go and change the style on shoes that were perfect before? Sheesh! -- Brown shoes, with an ugly maroon loop on the back. That loop is just seriously ugly.

I am very particular regarding comfort and fit of my shoes. Typically my size is 9, however my foot runs a bit narrow so I cannot tolerate a shoe that has a wide last (which these days is very common). These trail shoes impress me. They appear to be very well made, with excellent arch support and a heavy Vibram sole. They run true to size, both in length and width. They have a good sized toe box so there should be no issue with toe blisters. My concern is the pull ties. As my foot is slightly narrow, I have a tendency to tighten down my laces, or in this case the pull ties to obtain a more secure fit. That creates two concerns. First, as shown in the pictures, the end of the pull tie is quite long and I have to loop it around the laces so that it is not flopping all over the place. I think it might be better if they weren't elastic. Secondly, I wonder how long these laces will last. What happens if the laces don't last as long as the rest of the shoe? (That is why replacement laces are sold) Can they be replaced? Will figure that out if and when the time comes. Overall an impressive shoe, extremely comfortable and seemingly well made.

Not really impressed with this shoe. It’s not very comfortable the soul is kind of stiff inside. They don’t slip on very easily unless I slam the shoe to the floor. Once they’re on the size seems to fit as it should. It’s not a shoe I would buy again. Merrell’s quality has declined over the years. The main problem I have with Merrell is that the soul begins to come off and the toe protector seems to crack or come off.

I love Merrell, they are some of the most comfortable shoes I've ever had, and they are very well made, last a long time. Been buying them for 25 years.

Great shoe! This has all the features I like: comfortable, waterproof, and with the laces that don't become untied as I walk.

These are essentially "slip ons" and I didn't think slip ons would fit snugly enough for hiking, but they seem to. Merrills fit me better than other brands and this one is no exception.

I am on my second pair. The first pair made it to several 7-mile days at PGA events and took me through Southern Africa, Australia, and New Zealand, western Europe and Patagonia to Cape Horn. Working on the itinerary for this pair that will include many US locations and another trip to Europe??

I've been wearing Chams for the last 10+ years, but this is my first pair of "waterproof". Haven't been tested yet in that regard but they will hopefully be getting me to the top of Mt. Whitney next summer.

Excellent weather proofing with the bellow tongue nothing gets to your socks and feet making for a very comfortable dry hiking experience regardless of the conditions. I wear them daily and have for years. I'm sixty eight and walk ten miles every day rain or shine. These shoes and all their iterations have contributed to a life sustaining exercise regimen.
