Always been a big fan of Saucony. I've ran in many of their shoes, the main three being the Kinvara, Ride, and Triumph, all great options. I had been looking for a shoe though that was a nice mix of the Triumph (soft plush cushioning) and the Kinvara (lightweight & fast) then I came upon the Freedom 3. I ordered them at it was love at first run. I usually rotate between two or three pairs but lately every time I go for a run, I keep going back to the Freedom 3, I can't get enough! I've already set multiple PR's in them and am already eyeing my second pair. Nice work Saucony!

I already loved the Freedom 2, but here Saucony bring the shoes to a new level, it is comfortable, bouncy, stable (the heel is perfect), dynamic, fast. And it suits perfectly once first step, where few miles were needed with the Freedom 2. I was already a fan of Saucony, I am even more. with this "soft" lockdown where i am living the only thing i can do is running, running, running. great job Saucony, thank you

This shoe is a great combination of light weight, comfortable fit, and tactile road feedback. The colors are relentlessly ugly, year after year, but I'm not getting any prettier either, so there's that. Great, strangely colored shoe

I was a huge fan of the original Freedoms. I put over 500 miles on multiple pairs. The 2's were decent, but were lacking something that I couldn't quite put my finger on so I never had more than one pair (though I did put a fair share of miles on them). I was cautiously optimistic in picking up a pair of the Freedom 3's. To date, I've put a little over 50 miles on them. I have mixed feelings about the upper, and I haven't come down on one side or the other about it. It's not bad by any means, but I'm not sure I'm crazy about it either. The new midsole gets two thumbs way up from me though. It has the comfort to grind out a long easy day, but responsive enough to pick up the pace. I may not swap it with the Type A8 for racing a 5K, but it should do the trick for some longer races.

The midsoles on these are firm at first but it's very bouncy and soft. Toe box is a nice width and the upper doesn't have any hotspots at all. It's easy to forget you have the shoe on.

Five Star for sure-----fit, comfort, style and weight could not be any better. I wear for cross training/walking/running because I can't decide which one this shoe is better designed.

Since Saucony first introduced the Freedom, I have come to LOVE this model! I have had many pairs of the Freedom ISO and Freedom ISO 2 and now I am in my first pair of the Freedom 3. I have run 30 miles so far in the Freedom 3 so not a whole lot but I do like it..and hope to love it as I use it more. The Freedom ISO and Freedom ISO 2 had Everun for the midsole and topsole whereas the Freedom 3 has PWRUN+. With PWRUN+ being more springy and lightweight, I can tell a difference. It feels great (I very much liked Everun, too...both midsoles don't harden in cold temps!). The upper of the Freedom 3 breathes well but it is missing ISOFIT, something that both the Freedom ISO and Freedom ISO 2 had and that I wish the Freedom 3 had. The ISOFIT ISOKNIT upper that the Freedom ISO 2 had I feel was a nicer upper that hug the foot better than the upper of the Freedom 3. Perhaps the Freedom 4 will see ISOKNIT come back or an upper that was more sock-like. The upper of the Freedom 3 still works and wouldn't stop me from buying the Freedom 3 again. The outsole of the Freedom 3 is also a bit different than past Freedoms in that it has a few areas of regular rubber to go along with the crystal rubber and this will help with traction when the running surface is wet as crystal rubber just slips more when wet. Time will tell if I like the two types of rubber instead of just one uniform piece of crystal rubber. The heal counter of the Freedom 3 does do a nicer job of holding the foot in place than the heal counters of previous Freedoms but I'd only notice the looser heal counters when going around turns. If I could, I'd put the ISOFIT ISOKNIT upper on the Freedom 3. I've used the first two editions of the Freedom in all sorts of runs, short and long, and have worn it for my marathons and I'll continue doing that in the Freedom 3. The shoe is light and cushioned and I love that is not bulky. I'll be buying more Freedom 3. Thanks, Saucony, for continuing to make the Freedom. Those that need a bit more medial support should check out the Liberty ISO 2, another great model.

Just getting back into running after retirement and this shoe really helps. Most comfortable shoe I've tried, the medium cushioning is perfect springy and soft. The toe box is average width but the flexible material comfortably allows the toes to spread with no hotspots. The heal is nicely cupped and comfortably secure. Laces are soft, top of foot feels good and the slight 4mm drop blends in nicely. Got these as a backup pair but moved them up to #1, size wise I wear 10.5 these seem just slightly (maybe 1/4) size small compared to other brands.

So I don't like changing shoes. It irks me that models change every 2 years. However in this case it was a great change. One the lower weight from the freedom 2 to the 3 is significant. It is immediately noticeable. It's kinda weird but love the round laces, they don't get all twisted up. Lastly the strike on my run are more comfortable than the 2. Love them All we need now are some hot colors!

First run was only 5 miles 2nd run was 17 miles 7:57 easy pace and legs and feet get great I. The run and afterwards. So happy Saucony got back to why I love this brand. Toe box is way more comfortable that it used to be and the sole is perfect. I'll be doing all my Boston long Training runs in these!!

My favorite Saucony shoe has always been the Kinvara, I think I've had every version. I was looking for something for easy/long (slower) runs with more cushion but the same upper feel that I love in the Kinvara. This shoe is dynamite and exceeding expectations. For the amount of cushion (lots), it's very light-weight and surprisingly fast! EVERY TIME I run in them I end up pushing the pace because I feel so good. Becoming one of my absolute favorite shoes, well done. Get some more cool colors out there so I can stock up!

You can throttle up, throttle down, hit tempo intervals or log a slow 20 miler in this shoe and it will not miss a beat. The upper is the best-fitting of any Saucony shoe I've owned, and the midsole is just an absolute treat. I know 2020 is the year of the Carbon Plated Shoe, but I was looking forward to the Freedom 3 more than anything else and the PWRRUN does not disappoint. If you only have money for one pair of running shoes, you can do everything in these.

Comfort and fit is spot on. True to size as Saucony does so well. Feels best at faster paces for sure. Forefoot cushion is fantastic balance of protection, road-feel, and responsiveness. Heel has plenty of cushion underneath if you have a bit of a heel strike or even a slight heel kiss on landing. PowerRun+ is very nice. Very flexible, but heel counter is a bit more substantial than the last two versions. Don't mistakenly think this shoe is overly stable. It's still much much a neutral shoe, just not quite as wild as the previous Freedoms. Laces are the thicker tubular kind, and are very nice, adding to the plushness. They stayed tied for sure! No issues there. I'll be using the Freedom 3 for interval work involving faster paces. Great work Saucony, you made some terrific improvements.

Today, I bought a pair of the Freedom 3's in blue/grey and was really impressed by the fit, the comfort, and the feel of them while running. This Power Run+ midsole is the breakthrough for Saucony. It is soft, springy, and very responsive! Please leave it as is! Don't change the comfort level of this shoe! I have ran 3.5 miles so far and can't wait to try them on a longer run. Kudos to the development team for making an impressive show. I give it a 10!

I have all three pairs of the freedom line, and this one is by far the most STABLE. It is more cushioned than the freedom 2, but not as cushy as the 1's, and that is great as it provides a stable ride for not just long runs but for tempo runs. This shoe has a bouncy yet soft feeling thanks too the new pwrrun. It is a perfect mix of the Kinvara line and the Triumph line, and while I love everything about this shoe. I just wish they would have kept the same lacing system(iso fit) because of how well it kept my foot in while still allowing it to feel comfortable. The form fit isn't bad it just doesn't feel as natural while running, but I'm starting to get used to it once breaking it in(20 miles on the shoe). So if you're looking for a shoe that is softer than the freedom 2 while also being responsive this is a perfect upgrade.

Light and comfortable. Maybe a little too squishy for me as it can feel like you might roll off the side. But definitely a high comfort shoe.

A great shoe, but if it had more cushioning it would be a lot better. I would prefer the low heel to drop of less then 5mm from this shoes and onwards because of my knee tendonitis.

very comfortable out of the box. well cushioned feel for lighter runners (under 150) and older runners with stiff knees. took a little getting used to sitting higher off the ground vs the Freedom 1 and 2 but a nice ride overall. Good workout shoe but I still use my 1 or 2's for races.

Excellent cushioning and comfortable fit. Dry traction is good, but they slip a little on wet pavement. Not sure about the stretchy shoe strings. I believe regular strings would provide a more secure fit.

First pair of Saucony's for training. Perfect amount of cushion for my daily 12k runs. Like the fit, could be a little narrower in the front half of the shoe.

Nice shoe, decent amount of support and cushion for a neutral pair. Different from the ISO Freedom 2 in that the heel seems higher.

Great shoe, with good stability. A great alternative to the kinvarna line up. An asset to mid to long distance runs.
