I was concerned because these shoes only come in the narrow width, and I generally prefer Birkenstock's roomier regular width. If I have a choice, I always opt for the regular footbed. However, I thought the fit on these was actually more consistent with my other regular-width Birkenstocks than with the couple pairs of narrow-width Birkenstocks I have. I really like these shoes and don't feel as though I am compromising comfort at all by having these in a narrow width. And if you do indeed have narrow feet (or just prefer that closer fit), I think this particular style is so easily adjustable that you will likely be able to just adjust the upper straps to fit your foot the way you like.

I purchased the electric blue color in 41R from the Birkenstock web site because the R fit in 41 was hard to come by. They are awesome. The color is awesome. I wear a 41R/ womans 10 and have a C width as a female and the the 41R fits great. Very little adjustment needed. Because these fit wider, I would not recommended the Regular for those who wear an A or B width. The arch support is what one would expect from the Birkenstock name. When wearing them they do not flip flop on the foot nor make any noise. I am so glad I made this purchase.

I'm a woman, but ordered this men's shoe because it was the only style that had the Velcro closing. I was recently diagnosed with arthritis in a strange part of my right foot and wanted something I could loosen or tighten as needed. I should add that I had to be fitted for orthotics for my regular shoes but I live in Phoenix and it gets very hot and I wanted to be able to wear a sandal. My orthopedic surgeon said the ONLY sandal he recommends is Birkenstock. I understand why. When I put these on it was just like I had slipped my foot into the shoe that has my orthotics. I'll admit it took me a couple of back and forths with the company get the size right and it's still probably a half size too big but I'm happy overall. I wore Birkenstocks years ago. Not sure why I ever stopped. I'm a believer now.

Here's the bummer. These Birks LOOKED like the totally perfect idea for my feet! With the exception of not being soft foot-bedded (which all of my other Birks have been), they seemed like a great idea ... far prettier than my classic Arizona styles. The problem lies with the statement from Birkenstock (consistently on all sites that sell them) that their "narrow" designation should fit all foot types. I took a chance, also encouraged by a couple of reviewers who, like me, have bunions or other foot problems. The foot-bed itself is enough narrower than my other Birks, to cause actual pain/discomfort around the edges. I'm so sad I had to return them. Back to the cross-gendered Arizona's I guess. I've tried other Birk styles and they just don't cut it for my feet. 8-(

I have worn the first pair every day since they arrived and bought a second, identical pair as a backup in case Birkenstock decides to stop making them. Wish they had red and purple and olive green suede...I’d have a wardrobe. The way they wrap ensures a perfect fit for someone whose feet don’t match (me!).

I've tried a LOT of different Birkenstock styles. Problem with the classic two strap models is that if the upper isn't suede it often creates blisters. But this model combines that excellent footbed with a more 'slide' style. Absolutely love how it adjusts and feels. Amazing fit and feel!

Birkenstocks run a 1/2 size smaller than my US size 10 Euro size 42 is perfect for me.

I love the Arizona Soft Footbed in 40 Regular, but the Kyoto might be my new favorite. HOWEVER, I had to go to the BirkenstockUSA website in order to buy Kyoto in 40 regular. Zappos only has the 40 in narrow, which is uncomfortable.

Both straps are adjustable, which will accommodate thin and thick socks. The Kyoto definitely looks masculine; however, the comfort and the convenience for air travel can’t be beat! The shoe is a tad long, and a smidge wide. My feet are on the narrow side of medium, with a high instep and arch.

love love love the design but would like to see them in women sizes!!!!!!

I bought a second pair, same color and size - that’s how much I like them! The way they wrap the foot is superb. I wish they came in red and purple...I’d have a wardrobe. I don’t like the ones with the camouflage pattern outer strap. My preference is the Taupe Suede because both the wider strap and the outer strap are leather rather than an outer strap of manmade material.

I love these. They are comfortable just like you'd expect Birkenstocks to be. I wear the same size as I wear in all Birkenstocks—40. I'm a size ten, normally, but it Birks, I'm a 40, which is more like a 9.5. Highly recommended. They are easy to adjust with the velcro closure.

These are supposed to be the replacements for the old Zurich. Unfortunately, they are not. The footbed is the same but the Velcro closure does not close properly. It is simply too loose for all but the largest foot. I am truly disappointed as I thought I would be able to replace my worn out Zurichs with this model.

The style and quality of the Birkenstock was awesome, just sOOOOO disappointed that the narrow doesn’t fit. Birkenstock needs to rethink their width sizing, since narrow definitely doesn’t fit women better.

I love these shoes! I'm a female and sometimes wear narrow, but not regularly. I needed the narrow in these. I tried the regular first and even with the velcro settings they were not narrow enough. Even with the narrow size, I need to velcro these tightly - but it works! Also, the toe ledge, which I guess is a soft sole feature, felt too hard on the original "regular" width pair. On these, I think because they fit well, the toe hard toe ledge is not a big deal. I think I'll get used to it and maybe grow to like that feature. Not sure...but in any case, I'm loving these. If you are female and your feet are a bit narrow, get the narrow size for a more fitted experience.

The most comfortable Birk every and very easy to adjust and take on and off for someone with mobility problems. They do not need to be opened or adjusted after the initial fit

Purchased as a gift for someone else. They absolutely loved the design, quality, comfort, and style of the shoe. However, these sandals run quite large. Originally ordered a 42 which is a men's 9-9-1/2. They were huge and returned for a 41, a full size smaller and fit perfectly. But Zappos has an awesome return policy....so no problem!

Perhaps the only hip Birkenstocks I have ever seen. The first pair I have bought and I'm a Boomer.

I think it’s a wonderful Sandal but I need a smaller one but I return them now.

It seems the insole is a little different than the other Birkenstocks I have. The arch area a little different.

Was a good fit and the mid-arch strap was adjustable so that I could tighten them over my arch. Like the design and color.
