I'm 5'2" and weigh 124 pounds and like to have my pants fit loosely (I wear these while volunteering at the zoo), so I bought a regular size 6. I should have gotten petite. They had to be shortened about 4 inches and the waist had to be taken in. That being said, they're very comfortable and I especially like that they hit at the waist so there's no worry about squatting and bearing it all. The material makes a swoosh sound when I walk, which is only slightly annoying. There are enough pockets to stuff with all sorts of things, and I could even hang a walkie talkie on a woven loop and hang keys on a metal ring below one of the belt loops. Unfortunately, the pocket for the phone is too small for the newer models, but there's a pocket close to the knee that can be used instead (however, the phone hits me in the knee when I walk.)

The material feels strong, thicker than I expected but not stiff. Fast drying. I'm usually a size 4-6 and the size 6 fit perfectly. The small pocket next to the zipper is a bit awkward in my opinion. It fits a regular size smart phone.

They run big in the hips. The tool loop is very large. I'm not sure how I would ever use it. I wish Zappos sold the internal knee pads for these pants. I purchased the only internal knee pads that Zappos offers, a brand for men, and I had to cut the pads down by an inch. Many pants that accommodate knee pads within a pocket in the knee area, use Velcro to close the pocket. In these pants, there is a small side opening on the inside, so you have to force a rectangular knee pad into a small hole, then turn it 90 degrees. I suggest a better design for the next version. I like the rip-stop nylon, and the pants will be great working in the timber.

i was disappointed these were straight leg pants. i thought they would have a more slim fit based on the pictures. the material was very comfortable. i just wish they were more slim fit.

I got these a size bigger than my street pants. They fit well and were comfortable all day.

These run very big! I started with a 6, then got 4, and am now going to try 2. I'm NEVER a 2. Sizing needs to be standardized. Other than that, nice with lots of pockets.
