shoe marked narrow, I have super wide foot and do not fit most shoes. I was able to fit into this shoes but found the straps over the width uncomfortable. Loved the ankle wrap. The sole felt very comfortable and flexible. Would love to have a wider size option.

These were far too wide for my narrow foot - even with a narrow size selected. I am a true size 7 and ordered their size 7-7.5 which was at least a size too big. The buckle is very stiff so even if I tried to cinch the buckle in, they were still too big. Look cute . . . but going back.

I was so excited to find these sandals in a narrow width. The footbed was just right and felt comfortable and supportive. However, the straps were the problem. I've never had a narrow shoe make my foot look so wide. The leather is very stiff and it was difficult to adjust the straps to make them tighter. The curve of the strap at the ankle was also awkward. It did not wrap around my ankle well; it bulged out on the side even when buckled tighter. The wedges are also HEAVY! The height is just right, but I actually thought this was a fall waiting to happen trying to walk with all that weight strapped to my feet. This may not be a problem for someone younger, but in my mid-50s, I just can't wear shoes like that anymore. They're a really great looking sandal though. I wish I had been able to keep them.

The Soley sandal is so cute! Ordered my regular size 36, but being a wedge, my foot would slide forward and toes were right on edge of shoe and not comfortable. Very disappointed that I had to return them. Would like to see wedge lowered or raise the platform higher so foot doesn't slide forward.

I consistently wear a 39 regular in all Birkenstock shoes and sandals. These are narrow and based on other reviews it was recommended to size up. I did that and these shoes fit great. They were comfortable right out of the box!

I wear a 38 & this fits perfectly! They are very comfortable for my painful foot.

These sandals are wonderfully comfortable. I can where them all day. They run about a half size big. And though labeled narrow, they are generously wide for my medium width feet. These sandals are also very cute and flattering.

I am totally in love with these shoes. Great for someone with a narrow foot like me. Soft walking shoes and SUPER CUTE! So versatile to wear with many different things. Very happy I got these.

I don’t usually find Birkenstock sandals comfortable but this Papillio is very comfortable. I am picky about shoes, I have problem feet and difficulty finding comfortable shoes This shoe is very comfortable and supportive, the suede material the straps are made from is very soft against the skin. I got it in the Sandcastle it’s neutral.

I began a return, but like these Papillio’s so well that I tightened the straps and am wearing them. They are a half size too big.

I am a size 7 US and usually purchase a 38 EU in Birks (except for the waterproof sandals - those I purchase a 37.) Based on comments that said these ran large, I purchased a 37. They fit but my toes hit the edge of the sandal. I returned for my normal 38 and they are perfect. These are very comfortable, cute and have great arch support. Very happy with purchase.

I have plantar fasciitis and have been told by my podiatrist to limit my footwear to only certain brands...including Birkenstock. One problem with having "bad feet" is that good shoes are usually more casual. This is the ONLY wedge I have found that's comfortable and doesn't cause or increase my foot pain...and I can wear it with dresses. So glad to find this shoe!

These are absolutely perfect in every way. Quality, comfort, excellent arch support, and they look great on. I pronate in a flat shoe, but can't wear a heel that's too high anymore either. I also had surgery on one foot so it is now wider than the other foot. Was able to make the necessary adjustments with these sandals, and it is not obvious that my feet are different. I ordered 4 pairs of sandals intending to return 3 pairs back to Zappos after selecting one - ended up keeping these in addition to another pair because I could not let these go back with such a perfect fit and great look. Love them. FYI, I am 66 years old and wear a European 39 (which always fits perfectly) , or a US 8 or 8.5 depending on the shoe.

These shoes are cute and comfortable! I love the arch support, the adjustable straps, and the fact that they can be dressed up or worn casually. I have narrow feet and high arches, these shoes fit me fine. I wear a size 7.5 and ordered the size 38.

These sandals are so great! I have very narrow feet and after reading reviews was hesitate to order a pair. I have probably wanted to try these on for about a year and a half. I finally ordered a pair and I’m so glad I did!!! They have excellent arch support (coming from someone with high arches) and they are not too wide at all. They are so comfortable, I just love them!!!

I was in heaven when I got these and put them on. The arch support is unparalleled. The straps aren’t perfect. I adjusted the straps to be as loose as possible so the underside of the strap at the front won’t rub. I also made the ankle strap super loose so I can slip these on and off without buckling and unbuckling. How much do I love these? I got two pairs. I wear a 6 or sometimes 6.5 in shoes but in European sizes I take a 35 or 36. I got 36s in these and they are roomy.

This is my new go-to summer wedge! So comfortable and easy to walk in. These are very well made shoes that I can tell will last for years to come. For me they are true to size. The description says they are narrow, however, I don’t think I have a narrow foot, I would say it’s very average and the width is perfect.

Like the reviews downsize one size. These shoes are well crafted and ready to wear. Yes, drop a size (normally wear an 8 and fit well in the 7-7.5 narrow). Even though I returned the shoes I still give it 5 stars. When reading the heel height I thought it was 2 inches which would be quite acceptable but at 70+ yrs I don’t have the foot resiliency I used to dance with as the heel height is 3 inches. Otherwise buy this shoe!

Anyone struggling with needing more stylish narrow birks should size down. This papillio line has the only moderately stylish birks out there, but the width is not narrow even if it says so. I went down a half size and these are perfect. I’m sure it’s due to adjustable front and back straps. These are way too expensive to compromise. Glad I finally found a stylish birk that works! Birkenstock are you listening?

These sandals have comfort and style! The older I get, the more important it is to have good support without looking dowdy and these deliver.

I'm in love with these sandals. I am a huge Birkenstock fan but wanted something a bit more feminine to wear with dresses but also look good with pants and shorts. These are perfect. They are very attractive and very comfortable. Highly recommend

Nice shoe but the buckle digs into foot.

These shoes are super cute and comfortable. The first few times I wore them the leather across my toes was not so comfortable but after a few times of wearing them they broke in. I am a solid size 9 shoe and I got a size 39 in this shoe.

This is my first pair of Birkenstocks and my first pair of wedge sandals. Did not disappoint! My feet are narrow/slender and size 11. The 11-11.5 size fits perfectly. And I have small ankles, which the ankle strap could accommodate at the smallest hole. So many shoes are too wide and their straps are too large, but these shoes are great!
